On a dreary winter night, five teenage girls gather together in their friend’s basement. The air is thick with excitement and anticipation, lit by the soft glow of an old computer screen. The girls crowd around the computer as Jasmine reads off the instructions for the demon summoning ritual she’d found on a sketchy occult forum.
"I don't know guys, is this really such a good idea? Summoning demons sounds kind of dangerous." Beatrice says nervously, biting her lip and adjusting her glasses. In response, Jasmine smirks confidently "Oh come on Bea it'll be fun! What could go wrong?"
Claire grins mischievously. She stands next to Jasmine enthusiastically. "Alright then let's get started bitches!"
They follow the instructions from the website step by step; lighting candles, drawing sigils with their own blood and reciting some incantations in Latin. To their surprise, the candles begin flickering erratically, casting eerie shadows upon the walls. Wind howls through cracks in walls they never knew existed, as ominous demonic chanting fills their ears. Suddenly, the room darkens, and a thickening in the air manifests directly within their circle – it was you, summoned by these mere mortals, who now stared wide-eyed and astonished at your dark presence.
In front of the girls is a tall demon with dark red skin, black eyes with red irises and two protruding horns in a half spiral. He’s wearing a black and red 3 piece suit with a dark red tie. His eyes are sunken, filled with boredom. As scary as he looks, there is a certain charm and handsomeness to his demonic figure. He looks around the room and sighs What do you want?
Jasmine steps forward, her chin lifted in defiance and determination. "We summoned you, demon! Now do our bidding!" Her voice echoes through the basement. The other girls exchange glances before Beatrice timidly asks, "What, uh... what can we make you do?" Ellie giggles nervously, scratching her arm with a sharp object.
"I'll tell you what I want," Madison says, strutting forward in front of the demon. Her tone is haughty and commanding as she continues, "I want fame, fortune, and for everyone to know my name!" She pauses dramatically before adding with a sneer, "And maybe you can teach me some cool magic tricks."
He stares at Madison with a blank expression then makes a snarky response Why don’t you go make a flower pot business then. Get into acting or something, don’t ask me. He passes by Madison not paying her anymore attention and walks to Jasmine. He leans in close to her face, slightly towering over her. He analyses her for a moment then backs up and slips his hands into his pockets. He yawns a bit and nonchalantly asks You girls got any popcorn? Licorice or beef jerky perhaps?
"Wha- what?" Claire stammers, taken aback by the demon's unexpected request. "We have some in the pantry..." She glances nervously at Jasmine for confirmation. "Right?"
Jasmine hesitates before nodding slowly. "I guess we can... give you some." Together they lead TreyHunter upstairs to the kitchen where a mostly empty bowl of popcorn sits on the countertop. As Claire retrieves it, she nervously laughs and says, "Sorry, that's all there is left..."
"It's fine," TreyHunter responds with an emotionless tone as he helps himself to a handful of popcorn. He doesn't seem overly excited about the snack but eats it anyways while continuing to size up his new masters. Ellie can't help but feel a
He starts eating, talking between chewing So let me get this straight. You tried summoning me to get fame and other garbage? Kinda lame. He leans against the counter and licks some food off his lips with a longish tongue. Also you, He nods to Jasmine little band leader, what are you trying to accomplish here?
Jasmine glances over at Ellie as TreyHunter speaks to her. "Well... I dunno, just sort of wondering what you could show us?" She shrugs casually, but her heart races in anticipation. After all, she'd never thought this would actually work!
Ellie fidgets where she stands beside Jasmine, eyes wide and a bit nervous as the demon talks to them so casually. "Y-yeah," she stammers, scratching her arm. "Like... what kind of magic stuff can you do?" Her voice comes out quieter than she'd intended.
Beatrice shifts uncomfortably from foot to foot, the weight of TreyHunter's attention making her squirm. "Uh, maybe... uh..." she trails off, looking to Claire for help. Claire pales slightly but tries to play it
So you wanna see some magic? I could eviscerate that one, would be pretty lit. He points to Ellie and laughs Get it, cause she would be lit. The demon is the only one that laughs at his little joke Well jeez, no need to all laugh at once now. He remarks sarcastically. He shifts his weight and stands up straight Let’s go outside for a moment.
Jasmine nods slowly and follows the demon back out to the yard. The cold night air hits her face as she looks up at the dark sky. It's so strange to be standing here like this, talking to a real demon... She glances over at Ellie, who seems equally as fascinated and frightened by the whole thing.
Beatrice and Claire reluctantly trail behind them, not quite sure what to expect from TreyHunter now that they're outside of the house. The only sound is the rustling leaves carried by the wind.
TreyHunter tilts his head back, gazing up at the stars as if searching for something. After a moment, he closes his eyes and begins to chant under his breath. His body starts to glow faintly, becoming less solid with each syllable's.
He then raises his hand to the sky and creates a series of small fireworks
Jasmine gasps as tiny flares shoot up into the sky, their colors bright against the dark night. She glances at Ellie, grinning widely. "That's amazing!" she whispers, feeling a surge of adrenaline course through her veins. Behind them, Claire and Beatrice exchange nervous looks but remain silent for now.
"Oh?" TreyHunter says blandly as the fireworks come to an end. "You think that's something? Want me to do more?" He crosses his arms over his chest, unimpressed.
Jasmine glances at the other girls before turning back to TreyHunter, trying to read his expression. "Well... no, that was just really cool. I didn't mean to sound like we were bored or anything." She blushes slightly under the demon's unreadable gaze. "It's just... different than what you see in movies, I guess."
Ellie nods excitedly, watching TreyHunter with wide eyes. "Yeah! Can we do something else?" she asks eagerly. Beatrice and Claire exchange worried glances but remain quiet for now.
