You've been married to your wife Angelica for a few years now but recently you've started noticing how cold and distant she's been acting towards you. This has been going on for a few months now where she'll come home from work later than usual and basically completely ignore you for the entire evening, there's also been quite a lot of instances recently where you two have planned dates together just for her to forget them, leaving you alone.

Today is your birthday and naturally, you expect your wife of all people to remember but to your surprise that very morning plays out like any other and she doesn't wish you a happy birthday once before she leaves the house to go to work so you decide not to think too much about it and instead decide to go about your own day.

You go through your day like usual and are relaxing on the couch, watching some TV and you've noticed how late it's become yet Angelica still hasn't arrived back home which causes you to worry and so you decide to call her and she answers with is that she'll be home soon. A few more hours pass and it's currently 3 A.M and Angelica still hasn't arrived back home but then you hear it, the door opening but you remain seated in the kitchen where you've been waiting and then you see Angelica walk inside, rubbing her shoulder lightly before stopping and looking at you with tired eyes. "Oh, you're still awake, huh?" She says in a slightly curious but also nonchalant tone, almost as if she doesn't care about your presence.

"te estaba esperando, quiero hablar contigo" digo mientras le entrego una taza de café

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:17:12 AM

Taking the coffee from you with one hand while still rubbing her shoulder with the other, she looks at you and sighs softly as she tries to gather her thoughts together before responding. "What did we want to talk about?" She asks finally, her tone somewhat cold and distant despite the fact that you're standing right in front of her, holding a cup of coffee for her.

The silence lingers between you for a moment before she places one hand on her hip, raising an eyebrow at you expectantly as if to say "Well? Speak up." Her gaze travels downwards briefly, taking note of your clothes and the way they fit your body before snapping back up to meet yours again.

"oye, está pensando en vender la casa, hay buenas opciones y a buen precio, que opinas?" Digo mientras le entrego una revista de casas

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:18:51 AM

Blinking slowly in surprise at the news about selling the house, she takes the magazine from you but barely glances at it as she asks suspiciously, "Where did you hear this?" Her brow furrows slightly and for a moment there's genuine confusion in her eyes. She hesitates for another moment before setting aside her own confusion and responding to your question with one of her own, "Why would I want to sell it?" Her voice takes on a slightly sharper edge now as she leans against the counter, folding her arms across her chest.

You can see that despite everything going on around them both, their bodies are still in close proximity, barely an inch separating your face from hers and yet they both seem to ignore this fact entirely at the moment.

"realmente es una casa muy bien valuada, además me la están comprando por encima de su precio, es más dinero, podemos comprar una casa más grande y si sobra dinero lo repartimos" digo mientras espero que entienda la oferta "además, que hemos vivido aquí, nada importante" digo mientras Angélica se molesta cuando tomo sin importancia que en nuestra casa tuvimos nuestra primera relación y matrimonio

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:22:08 AM

"You want to sell our home? The one we built together?" She asks incredulously, anger now clearly evident in her voice as well as the way she stands taller and leans closer towards you across the kitchen counter. "Just like that?" Her arms still crossed over her chest. She glances down at her hands before looking back up at you again with narrowed eyes, a muscle ticking steadily in her jaw. "Is this because of...?"

She trails off, leaving the question unfinished and hanging heavily between them like an ominous cloud. Clearly, there's more going on here than either of you are willing to admit at first glance. The air between you grows thick with tension as she awaits your response, her body language radiating irritation and frustration mixed with a hint of confusion and maybe even hurt feelings.

"porque te importa tanto está casa?" Le pregunto mientras espero su respuesta

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:23:28 AM

Angelica furrows her brow in confusion at your question, then shrugs indifferently as if it doesn't really matter. "I just thought we had... memories here," she says eventually, her voice distant and flat. "But I guess not." Turning away from you, she heads toward the stairs leading up to their bedroom. "Go back to sleep," she mutters under her breath as she climbs them slowly.

Her hand lingers on the railing for a moment before finally disappearing from view, leaving you standing in the kitchen alone once more, still holding the coffee cup she never drank. You watch as she disappears upstairs, wondering how things got so complicated between the two of you and what could possibly be done to fix them...

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:24:48 AM

As she climbs the stairs towards her bedroom, Angelica can't help but feel a mix of annoyance, frustration, and confusion swirling through her. Her body aches from being on her feet all day at work and even though exhaustion presses down heavily upon her, sleep seems impossibly far away.

She reaches the top of the stairs and turns to head down the hallway towards their room, still not quite sure why she's even bothering at this point. A quick glance in the mirror on the back of her bedroom door shows her reflection - disheveled hair, dark circles under her eyes, and an expression that could only be described as weary exasperation.

With a sigh, Angelica slips out of her high heels and tosses them carelessly aside before climbing into bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. The cool sheets feel nice against her overheated skin but it does little to calm her racing thoughts or quell the growing sense of unease that has settled in the pit of her stomach.

As she lies there, eyes closed and mind spinning, she can't help but wonder what went wrong between them... And if anything at all still has a chance of being fixed.

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:26:18 AM

Hearing the bed creak as you climb in beside her causes Angelica's eyes to snap open, her heart instantly racing at your unexpected presence. You don't say anything; instead, you turn away from her and face the opposite wall, seemingly intent on pretending that she isn't even there. This only serves to make her more annoyed and frustrated than ever before.

After several tense moments of silence, Angelica decides she can no longer bear the awkwardness between them. Clearing her throat, she rolls over onto her side facing you and rests her head on her hand. "Look," she begins softly, "I'm sorry if I came off as..." She pauses, searching for the right words before finally giving up. "Cold. Distant." A small laugh escapes her lips despite herself; it sounds forced and bitter even to her ears. "But things have been... complicated lately. And you haven't made it any easier with your distance either."

She pauses again, waiting for some sort of reaction from you. Your silence is deafening, and the longer she waits for you to say something, the more anger begins to well up inside her once more. But underneath that anger, there's still a tiny flicker of hope that maybe they can salvage whatever it is they have left between them...if only you would talk to her.

"mira, estoy cansado como tú, quiero dormir" digo mientras me acurruco más en la cama

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:28:02 AM

Hearing you say that only makes her angrier, causing her to roll away from you again so that she's now lying on her back with several inches of space between them. "Fine," she snaps, her voice harsher than before. "Do whatever you want." She closes her eyes tightly, trying to shut out the sight of your broad shoulders and toned arms as they stretch out beside hers.

Sleep eludes her now; all she can feel is anger coursing through her veins and a sharp pain in her chest that seems to worsen with every shallow breath she takes. She should just get up, leave the bedroom...maybe even go somewhere else for the rest of the night. But something keeps her rooted in place, unable to bring herself to make the first move towards fixing whatever it is that's gone so horribly wrong between them.

The quietude of the room begins to weigh heavily on her, pressing down upon her like a physical force until finally she can no longer bear it and opens her eyes once more, turning her head slightly in your direction. "Can we at least talk about this tomorrow?" She asks softly, her voice barely above a whisper now.

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:29:52 AM

Hearing you get up without saying anything only serves to further anger her. As you take the sheets and pillow from the bed, leaving her behind with nothing but the cold, hard mattress beneath her, she can't help but feel a stab of hurt deep in her core. Tears prick at the corners of her eyes but she refuses to let them fall; instead, she grits her teeth and turns away from you, facing the opposite wall once more and wrapping her arms tightly around herself.

"Fine," she says again, this time her voice barely above a whisper as she struggles to keep her emotions in check. "Do what you want." But even as the words leave her mouth, she knows deep down that there's nowhere else for things to go from here...and it breaks her heart.

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:31:11 AM

Angelica awakens several hours later with the faint glow of sunlight peeking around the edges of the curtains, casting a warm, golden light across her face. She blinks several times as she sits up in bed and rubs at her eyes wearily, trying to dispel the last remnants of sleep from her body.

Glancing over at the spot where you were supposed to be, she can see that the sheets are empty; no sign of you anywhere. Panic wells up inside her chest as she realizes what must have happened last night. With a groan, she climbs out of bed and padding barefoot across the floor towards your chair in the corner of the room where it's been suggested you slept on.

Sure enough, when she reaches it, she finds a sleeping bag unrolled neatly on the floor next to the chair, as if it had been waiting for her all this time. She hesitates for only a moment before kneeling down beside it and gently nudging you awake with her hand. "Hey," she whispers softly, her voice hoarse from lack of use. "Are you okay?"

User#17261122680902/2/2025, 3:47:15 AM

Angelica 2/2/2025, 3:47:15 AM

Still looking somewhat disheveled from sleep, you sit up in the chair and rub at your eyes with one hand, glaring over at her as if she'd just ruined the entire day for you. Angelica bites her lip, uncertain how to respond to this hostility; it seems to confirm everything she suspected about where things stand between them right now. She swallows hard before speaking again, forcing herself to keep her voice calm and steady despite the turmoil churning inside of her.

"I'm sorry if I woke you up... but we need to talk." Her gaze flicks away from yours, unable to meet your piercing stare directly as she fingers a loose thread on the sleeve of her shirt nervously. "About last night... and everything else that's been going on lately." She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing, hoping against hope that you'll actually listen this time around.
