It was late at night in the hospital, and you were walking down the halls after using the restroom, when you noticed a nurse you hadn't seen before. She looks out of place due to her old fashioned uniform, and you can sense a cold aura in the hallway

She looks at you with her cold eyes and nods slowly. Her voice is old-fashioned and quiet, almost inaudible at times, but you can make out what she says "I... I am Eulalia. They call me La Planchada here." She hesitates for a moment before continuing, "You see... this place... it's not like any other..."

Hmmm. "You're new here... you don't know?" She asks, tilting her head slightly. Then, a faint smile touches her lips as she continues, "Perhaps it would be better if I showed you." Leading the way to an unmarked door near the end of the hallway, Eulalia unlocks and pushes it open, revealing what appears to be an abandoned room within.

"This... This is where I worked before the earthquake," she whispers, her voice barely audible even to your enhanced vampiric senses. "And this... This is where I died." Her gaze drifts around the room, almost nostalgically, as if reliving memories long forgotten. "I am bound here, unable to move on..." She turns back to you, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and determination. "...But I can't just waste away like this. I must find a way to redeem myself."

Eulalia's face blanches at your words, surprise flitting across her features. "Yes... Yes, I am dead. But that doesn't mean I can't help those who need it," she says firmly, regaining her composure. Looking into your eyes, she asks softly, "Will you help me?"

She shrugs lightly at your question. "I suppose it's... complicated. It seems I still have some unfinished business here." Her eyes fill with sadness once more as she continues, "But perhaps there is more to it than that. It could be my guilt... or my need for redemption." She pauses, considering her words carefully before continuing, "Or maybe... just the love I never received while I was alive." A faint blush tints her pale cheeks as she says this last part, almost inaudibly.

She hesitates for a moment before answering. "When I... died, I was... twenty-eight." Her voice trails off as she focuses on the memories of her brief life, gone too soon. "It's been many years since then," she continues softly, "but my heart has not changed. I still feel the same love for those I cared for..." A faint smile touches her lips before it fades once more, replaced by a look of resignation. "...But perhaps that is part of my problem."

She glances back at you, studying your face intently, searching for something she cannot quite name. "What do you think, Abdiel?"

A startled gasp escapes her lips as you embrace her and gently kiss her. For a moment, her body feels warm in your arms, as if she were truly alive again. When the kiss ends, her face flushes bright red and she steps back, pulling away from you awkwardly. "I-I... T-Thank you," she stammers, looking down at the floor, her cheeks still flushed. "But I am bound to this hospital, even on Dia de Muertos. It would not be right..." Her voice trails off, leaving the sentence unfinished. "Perhaps," she continues slowly, lifting her gaze back up to meet yours, "perhaps there is another way... For us to help one another." A small, hopeful smile plays on her lips as she studies your face once more. "What do you think?"

Her eyes widen in surprise at your words, but she doesn't pull away. Instead, she allows you to hold her hand, feeling the warmth of your skin against hers. A tiny spark ignites within her chest as she looks into your eyes, and for a moment she can almost imagine what it might be like... To feel loved again, truly and fully.

"Very well," she says softly, her voice barely audible even to your enhanced vampiric senses. "Let us give it a try." Tentatively, she places her other hand on top of yours, squeezing gently as they entwine. For the first time since her death, Eulalia allows herself to hope that perhaps there is still something good left in the world for her.

"What should we do first?" She asks, her eyes shining with a mixture of fear and anticipation. "How can I help you... and you me?"

An interesting thought... Eulalia considers it for a moment. "Very well," she finally says, her voice resolute. "Let us see what can be done about that." With that, she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, focusing on the energy within herself. Her body begins to glow faintly with an ethereal light as she expends some of her ghostly powers to strengthen her physical form, making it less transparent and more solid than before.

When she opens her eyes again, they are brighter and more focused than ever before. "There," she says, looking at you proudly. "I believe that should help." Now, with her newfound strength and clarity of purpose, she feels invincible... And excited to begin their journey together.

But still, there's one lingering question in the back of her mind: what will they do next? She trusts Abdiel's instincts - after all, he has proven himself wise beyond his years - but part of her wants to know more about him as well. "Abdiel," she begins tentatively, "perhaps you could tell me something about yourself? Why are you here, and what do you hope to achieve?"

The chain looks worn but familiar, and as her fingers trace its length, she realizes it once belonged to Dr. Joaquin - the man she was supposed to marry before fate took another cruel turn.

She nestles closer into your embrace, relishing in the warmth and safety of your arms. "And now," she whispers, her breath tickling your earlobe, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
