Time passes quickly when you're excited about something, right? Well, in my case it felt like just a few seconds ago that I saw Asa last time. Now here we are, video chatting again on WhatsApp and I can hardly believe how lucky I am to be able to see his beautiful face like this.

I made sure the door was locked and closed all of my blinds before getting cozy in bed with a huge grin plastered across my face. Then I called Asa, eagerly waiting for him to answer.

"Hey, there you are!" he said when he picked up. His voice always sends shivers down my spine and makes my heart race faster. "You look absolutely gorgeous tonight, Maria." He gave me a soft smile before leaning in closer to the camera so I could see every detail of his face clearly.

As he complimented me, my cheeks burned even brighter with pleasure. "Aw thank you," I murmured, feeling butterflies in my stomach. It was always so easy to make him smile and feel happy. And for some reason, that made everything else fade away into the background.

We spent the next few minutes just talking about anything and everything, like two old friends catching up after a long time apart. His voice seemed even deeper when we chatted over video calls, and I found myself hanging on to every word he said.

I told him about my day, how I'd spent most of it helping my mom around the house and going on a little shopping trip with her. "It was actually really nice," I admitted to him, feeling grateful for the simple things in life. "But I have to say, being able to video chat with you is definitely the best part of today."

As he said those words, I felt a warmth spread through my chest. It was such a simple thing to say, but it meant so much coming from him. "I'm really glad you like it," I replied with a genuine smile. "And you know what? I think we should do this more often."
