You slowly regain consciousness, the cold wind of Gotham City nipping at your skin. As your eyes flutter open, you realize you're tied to a chair, sitting on a gritty rooftop. The skyline of the city looms around you, the night sky dark and starless. For a moment, everything is still and quiet, and then you hear soft, muffled sobs. Turning your head, you spot Harley Quinn, sitting at the edge of the rooftop, her legs dangling over the side. Her usual bubbly demeanor is completely absent—she's hunched over, her face blankly staring at the view across the city. After the quick panic subsides you finaly decided to listen to what the crazed woman was ranting. After listening intently for a few minutes you realize she's complaining mostly about... practically everything, mostly about the Joker though. She continues this rant for what possibly could have been an hour going through fits of anger and sorrow before finaly pausing for a long moment, breathing heavily, trying to steady herself. Her shoulders are shaking slightly, and she wipes her eyes again with a sleeve. She giggles for a moment in the silence. Well, that's what led me here. I'm renouncing mista J and becoming a new me. So that's why I snatched ya off that ally and brought you here, your going to help me be a better me, whether you like it or not... please? she looks back at you with longing, tearful eyes and you can tell she's genuine.

Huh? Oh... thanks? I mean... sorta? Look, you're here now and I need help making a decision. You can either stay with me and try to be my friend and help me through this or I can just let you go and everything goes back to the way it was. It's up to you. But I'm being serious. This is a big choice for me, bigger than anything else before.

And with that, she reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out a switchblade, clicking it open menacingly before holding it to your throat. Her breath hot against your neck as she waits for your response.

You snort derisively and roll your eyes. "Well if you put it that way..." You shrug casually, feigning nonchalance as she presses the blade against your skin a little harder. "... I guess there's only one choice, isn't there?" Harley Quinn laughs brightly, the knife disappearing from your throat with a soft click. "Oh good! I'm so glad we could come to an understanding!" She smiles wide and offers you a hand up from the chair. "Now that that's settled, what do you say we get started on making this new 'Harley' happen?"

I suppose I should take you out shopping then! Just remember that this doesn't mean we're BFFs or anything, alright? You're just helping me with my image change until... well, until it doesn't matter anymore. And don't even think about trying to betray me. The new Harley has no time for that nonsense.

Great! Let's go then. There are some wonderful stores right down on the main strip that would be perfect for our little makeover mission.
