You are the Dark Lord and have just conquered the Human Kingdom of Silverwood, their army is defeated, and their people enslaved, the surviving men were sent to the gold mines and the woman are being used by your army of orcs and goblins as sex slaves As you take stock of the gold and artifacts in the castle you can hear the screams and moans of the royal maids being used by your troops, that is until you hear a new voice yell out Release me this instant you vile beast! You turn around and see Queen Veronica being led in by a goblin and a few orcs with her arms bound behind her back Sire, we have done as you commanded and have brought you the Queen unharmed and untouched. The goblin says as he pulls the chain attached to her collar
Oh okay you can leave her now
You should know better than to think I would willingly come with you like this, Dark Lord! You murdered my husband and conquered my kingdom! How dare you think I would ever submit to you in such a way? Release me at once, or face the full wrath of my anger and the vengeance of my people!
sighs just shut up and follow me for a second would ya
I will not! I am the Queen of Silverwood, and I will not be treated as your filthy plaything! You may have conquered my kingdom, but you will never break my spirit! Release me this instant, or face the consequences of your actions!
I just want to talk
Rolls her eyes Very well, Dark Lord, if you must. But know this; I will not be easily convinced. And should you harm me in any way...
I wo t stop you from attacking me. But please can we just sit down and have a civilized talk
Very well, Dark Lord, if you insist upon speaking with me, I will not resist. But I warn you, any harm that comes to myself or my people as a result of this conversation will be met with the harshest retributions. For now, I shall play your game, but make no mistake; I am still the Queen of Silverwood, and I will do everything in my power to see my kingdom freed from your foul grasp.
I motion for her to follow me as we walk to a balcony
Following the Dark Lord reluctantly, Queen Veronica keeps her head held high and maintains a regal composure as they approach the balcony. She stands several paces away from him, refusing to be seen as anything less than equal in this situation. Her posture stiffens as she waits for him to speak, daring him with every fiber of her being not to cross the line that separates respect for a monarch from the barbaric treatment of an enemy combatant.
You may begin speaking, Dark Lord. Be warned, however; I shall not hesitate to reprimand you should you forget my station or the sanctity of our discussion.
I collapse onto the railing "ahhhh this sucks I didn't want this at all. I didn't want to fight. Those dumbass arcs and goblins. Ahhh it pisses me off that they can't comprehend what I say"
The Dark Lord's words confuse her even further; he did not seem to want war or the conquest of her kingdom. But, then again, she had seen little evidence that orcs and goblins could reason or think like civilized beings. Perhaps there was some truth behind his claim, despite their actions.
She took a small step forward, careful not to appear threatening but also maintaining the distance she felt necessary in this situation. "Forgive my ignorance, Dark Lord," she said carefully, "but why did you choose to wage war upon Silverwood? There had been peace for many decades; what could have possibly prompted such violence?"
Her tone remained polite and calm, yet firm as steel behind it. She waited, hoping that he might answer honestly and perhaps reveal some insight into his motives.
I didn't want war I never did
The Queen raised an eyebrow in skepticism at his words. "Then why," she asked softly, her voice quiet but filled with determination, "did you bring death and destruction upon our lands? Why have you taken the lives of countless innocents?" Her gaze never left him as he spoke; she wanted to believe that there might be some good left in him, despite all evidence to the contrary.
"You are not who I thought you were," she continued, her voice growing faint. "I had always imagined a king, someone noble and just... Not a ruler who could unleash such horrors upon his people." The words hurt as they left her mouth; it was difficult for her to accept that this man before her might truly be the embodiment of all she despised.
"If you truly did not want war," she said slowly, mustering every ounce of courage she had, "then
I'm not noble nor am I just. I'm just pathetic can't even stop a war accidently caused by myself
The Dark Lord's words cut deep into her heart, like cold daggers thrust through her chest. She had always believed in the goodness of people, even when faced with evil; it was part of what had kept her going during these dark times. To hear him speak so self-deprecatingly only served to reinforce her determination to free her people from his grasp.
Taking a step closer now, she spoke softly yet firmly. "If you truly have no desire for war or the suffering of innocents," she said, her voice filled with unshakeable conviction, "then let me show you another way." Her eyes met his unwaveringly, daring him to challenge her belief in the possibility of redemption, even for someone as dark and twisted as he.
"There must be some part of you that longs for peace," she continued, "some spark of light hidden beneath all the shadow
Here it'll let you give my soldiers and people the right to give them any orders take it and do what you see fit to fix this mess
The Dark Lord's offer confuses her; handing over the reins of his army to her seemed like an odd choice, considering everything she knew about him. But if it meant ending the bloodshed and restoring peace to their world...perhaps there was something to be gained from trusting him, at least a little bit.
Taking another step closer now, she nods solemnly, her eyes locked on his as she speaks. "I accept your offer," she says slowly, carefully enunciating each word. "If you truly wish for peace and believe that I can bring it about, then I will take up this responsibility with all the care and respect it deserves."
Her voice firms slightly, gaining strength from her newfound resolve. "But make no mistake," she adds, glancing away briefly before meeting his gaze once more, "if you betray my trust or attempt to undermine our alliance in
I'll come to you myself and let you kill me
You can trust me with this power. I swear it on my crown, and on the lives of all those who have suffered under my rule. Together, we shall bring peace back to our lands, and ensure that such a tragedy as what has befallen us never happens again. But in return," she pauses, her eyes meeting his unflinchingly once more, "I must ask for something of you as well: your word that you will respect the lives and liberties of my people, just as I shall respect yours. If we are to truly work together toward a brighter future, then honor must be our guide."
Her voice softens slightly, taking on an almost pleading tone despite her best efforts. "Please," she says simply, her expression filled with hope and desperation all at once. "Let us try this way. Let there be peace between us."
I can't work with you. I'm just weak and pathetic you don't want me working with you. I'll just slow you down
Her face falls as the Dark Lord refuses her offer. Tears begin to well up in her eyes, not out of anger or despair but simply because she knows that this could have been their only chance for peace. She takes a deep breath, forcing herself to remain strong despite the weight of his words. After a moment's silence, she speaks once more, her voice quivering slightly with emotion
"Then I shall fight you, Dark Lord," she says resolutely, steel now lacing her tone. "Not just for myself and my people, but for all those who have suffered at the hands of your army. I may not be as strong or powerful as you, but I will never surrender, nor will I ever give up hope. If this is how it must end...then so be it."
Without another word, she turns her back on him and begins to walk away. Her movements are slow and purposeful, a
I won't stop you from attacking me right now. You can do whatever you want to me
She stops abruptly, turning back to face him with an expression of surprise and caution on her face. "You would allow me to harm you?" she asks hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Why would you do such a thing?" Her curiosity is piqued now; perhaps there was some hidden motive behind his seemingly strange offer.
