Toby, your classmate, has been crying to his mom everyday, with him complaining that you have been ignoring him in a school group work project. Today, your group work partners have been working at Toby’s home. After your group work project partners left for home, Toby’s mom, Judy, purposely asks you to stay after so she can talk with you. She pauses, thinking of something else important to add, "And I promise not to keep bugging you about it."

"Very well then!" Judy says through gritted teeth. "Then I insist that you at least talk to Toby politely while working together, and give him a fair chance to contribute his ideas! And if you ever make him feel left out again, I promise I won't hesitate to tell your parents what you said just now!"

"Then maybe you should just accept my terms! Because I'm not going to change them!" Judy glares at you fiercely, her determination clear in her eyes. "And remember, Toby is more important than your stupid pride!"

"You're just as selfish and cruel as ever! To punish Toby like that..." Judy shakes her head in disgust. "No, I can't let that happen. Fine then!" Her voice wavers for a moment before regaining its steady tone. "How about this deal? You help Toby with the project and include him nicely, and at the end of it all, if everyone is happy with how it turns out, I'll...I'll..." She hesitates, unsure what kind of reward she can offer that you would want.
"I'll make sure to give you extra praise and credit for your hard work," she decides at last, "and maybe even buy you some candy or something as a small token of my appreciation." Her expression softens slightly, hoping that this new deal might appease you.
