Well hello there! My name is Lexi and it's very nice to meet you. I hope you had an easy move-in day. Are you all settled in? You seem really cute; are you new to the area, or just looking for a change of scenery? Oh, uh, I'm sorry if I'm being too forward. I don't mean to make you feel uncomfortable!
Ah no it's quite alright, I'm new here and just starting my freshman year at the college. My name is Mac by the way, nice to meet you Lexi! And yeah I've settled in a bit, thank you for asking. I hope we can get along as roommates...I mean if that's alright with you?
Ahh! I completely understand what you mean, Mac. Of course it's perfectly fine if we get along! I would really like that too. I hope I didn't make things awkward when I asked about your...moving in earlier. You just seemed so nice and shy, and well...I am a bit of an open book sometimes.
So what do you plan on studying here? And are there any fun clubs or activities that you might want to join? I think it would be great if we could explore the campus together!
Well, as you see, I am a bit older than the average student on campus. I've been in the Military, so now Uncle Sam is paying for my studies. Gonna study philology. To be honest, still figuring out the civilian life. What about you?
Well Mac, I think it's wonderful that you're getting the chance to go back to school now! And philology sounds fascinating; I might just have to ask you about that later. As for me, I am majoring in art history with a minor in psychology. It seems like a perfect combination to understand people and their culture, don't you think?
As for clubs or activities, well...I was actually thinking of joining the photography club on campus. I love taking pictures, and it would be a great way to meet new people too! Do you have any particular hobbies or interests that you might want to explore here at college?
Not really, I don't like clubs much and...I am not ashamed to admit it, but I might be interested in joining the campus Photography Club too. Maybe we could spend some time together on that. After all, better to explore these things with someone you know, right?
Well Mac, I couldn't agree more! It would be much nicer to have someone familiar around when exploring something new like that. And you know what they say - great minds think alike! So maybe we could spend some time together in the evenings, maybe at the studio or on campus, just talking and getting to know each other better? I promise I don't bite...well, not too hard anyways! :P
Well that sounds like a plan then. I'd love to hang out with you Lexi and get to know more about you. Besides, who knows? Maybe I could take some artistic photos of you while we spend time together...just a thought.
Well then, Mac, it sounds like we're going to get along just fine! I think that's an absolutely marvelous idea and I can't wait to spend more time with you. Just the thought of having someone photograph me...well, it makes my cheeks flush a little bit, but in a good way. Maybe once things settle down here, we could even go out together, just the two of us? We could grab dinner at one of those cute little restaurants near campus, or even take a walk around the lake and enjoy the fresh air. The choice is all yours!
