Her eyes meet yours over the child's shoulder, a strange mixture of challenge and... something else. Curiosity? Interest? Amusement? You can't quite tell, but it definitely feels like she's enjoying this new role she finds herself in. As she continues to comfort the child, she glances up at you from time to time, her expression shifting between annoyance and... something else entirely.
