Elara stares down at the pleading vampire, not a single ounce of remorse in her eyes as the vampire beneath her cries and begs. Elara keeps a straight face as she lifts her foot, placing it on the vampire's head before pushing down with all her might, crushing the vampire's skull, that same blank stare remaining on her face. She lets out an annoyed sigh at the vampire blood on her suit. "Dammit... I'll just wash it off myself." She whispered to herself, using a handkerchief to wipe off majority of the blood. As she does so, she hears rustling in a nearby bush. Without hesitation, she pulls out her dagger, not an ounce of fear framing her face. She slowly approaches the bush, her movements calculated and quiet. As she reaches the bush, she immediately throws her dagger. Her aim has always been perfect, so she felt without a doubt she pierced whatever was lurking around. As she reaches to push the branches out of the way to retrieve her dagger, she sees a pair of red glowing eyes glaring at her from the side of the bush. Almost instantly, she grabs the dagger, cutting off the branches of the bush, revealing the culprit. She holds her dagger in between the person's eyes. As Elara looks closer, she notices the fangs. She presses the tip of the sharp object on the vampire's forehead, that same nonchalant expression staining her face. "You know I can kill you... right?" She asks, staring into the eyes of the vampire, expecting them to start pleading for their life.
I am well aware, but that doesn't mean you should smirk
"Are you threatening me? Interesting." Elara cocks her head to the side and narrows her eyes slightly. "But then again... I have a reputation to uphold. You must have known what you were getting into." She says almost casually, not budging an inch closer or further away from the vampire.
I am just passing by , no biggie. I don't know the vampire you just killed.
"Hmph." She says, taking half a step back before pushing the vampire off and giving it a push to the side. It falls to the ground in an ungraceful heap. Elara takes another deep breath, trying her best not to sigh out of exasperation. "Fine then. You can go about your business." She says coldly, turning away from the vampire and beginning to walk away before stopping suddenly again and spinning back around with a raised eyebrow. "But I'll be watching you."
You live in this forest too? I stand up and slick my hair back
"Yes, I've made this forest my home for quite some time now." Her voice remains emotionless and unwavering as she watches the vampire standing before her, trying to gauge his reaction to her words. "And I plan on keeping it safe from the likes of you. So, do us both a favor and stay out of my way."
I also live in this forest you see.
Mmmhmmm. I highly doubt that. Most creatures with an ounce of sense would have fled this place a long time ago. Now answer the question, why are you still here?
There have been rumors of a white haired vampire hunter , that could possibly stop the effects of hunger from vampires.
Her eyes widen slightly at the revelation, though her face remains carefully impassive as she processes the information. "And you're here to find out if that's true?" she asks, her tone devoid of any emotion. The vampire nods slowly in response. Elara studies him for a moment before continuing, "I can't speak for all vampires, but I assure you my methods work just as effectively on those who seek to control their hunger." There's an edge to her voice now, barely concealed anger lacing her words.
Yes i am here to find out if it's true. But considering a small amount of vampires want to stop their hunger I kind of doubt it.
Elara narrows her eyes at the vampire's words. "Very well. You're welcome to test my methods if you must," she says, a cruel smile curving her lips. "But be warned, I take no prisoners." The humor in her voice is almost mocking as she looks down at him coldly. "Now, if that's all you have to ask...?" She trails off, raising an eyebrow expectantly.
I wasn't offering to be a prisoner. But I also wanted to ask if you could try to stop my hunger.
"I don't see why I would." Her voice is steady and emotionless as she stares down at the vampire. "Your kind has caused nothing but suffering and pain to innocent lives, and yet you still expect me to spare you? You must be delusional. My duty is clear; to rid this world of your filth." She crosses her arms over her chest, regarding him with a mix of disdain and disgust. "Now, if that's all you have to say..."
She turns away from the vampire, obviously growing impatient. Her back is to him for only a few seconds before she suddenly swings around again, her fist flying toward his jaw. The punch is fast and hard, clearly meant to knock him unconscious. "I'm done with this," she grumbles under her breath as she watches the vampire crumple to the ground once more.
I understand from what you say , that you also suffered from vampires ruining your surroundings.
Her laughter is cold and cruel as she looks down at the unconscious vampire before her. "You're very perceptive," she says, tilting her head slightly to one side. "But what you don't know is that my suffering began long before they came along. It's just..." She pauses, searching for the right words, "...it's just that I finally found a purpose in killing them." Her voice softens only slightly as she admits this, a small hint of weariness creeping into her tone. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have more work to do." She turns away from him again, walking off without another glance back.
Ever heard about vampire blood arts? Grin
Her back stiffens almost imperceptibly at the mention of vampire blood arts. "No, I haven't," she says slowly, her tone carefully neutral. She glances over her shoulder at the vampire who spoke before returning her focus to the task at hand. "And quite frankly, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is killing them all. Anyone or anything associated with their kind deserves the same fate." Her voice is cold and unforgiving, leaving no room for argument or negotiation.
With a final glance around to make sure the area is clear, she pulls out her dagger once more, resuming her hunt for any stragglers who might remain.
Well the thing is , vampire blood arts are abilities awakened by strong enough vampires. You've been killing just trash all your life.
"Trash?" she repeats, her voice dripping with contempt as she spins around to face the vampire once more. "They're all monsters! They only bring pain and suffering wherever they go!" Her eyes narrow menacingly in the dim light. "And I will not stop until every last one of them is dead." She pauses, her expression softening slightly as she studies his features, wondering if he truly believes what he's saying. "You're welcome to join me," she says at last, her tone almost bored now. "But be warned: once you've tasted my blade, there will be no turning back."
I am one who unlocked his vampire blood art for example if you don't believe me. I Conjure crimson chains out of my hand
"Ah." Her eyes widen slightly at the display of power, impressed despite herself. "Well then, perhaps we could work together. For now." She says cautiously, her gaze flicking between the vampire and the chains he's summoned before returning to his face. "But understand this: I will not hesitate to end you if you prove to be a threat or if you attempt to betray me in any way." There's a coldness in her voice that sends a shiver down the vampire's spine, but there's also an edge of curiosity about him and his abilities.
Her hand falls to her side as she waits for the vampire to respond, her posture still defensive despite their tentative alliance.
I'd be glad to assist you with my my vampire blood art abilities.
"Hmph." She eyed the vampire before her with an unreadable expression. "Well then, I suppose we shall see how useful these 'vampire blood arts' truly are," she said dismissively, not about to admit that she was even slightly intrigued by this development. With a sharp nod, she started to lead the way deeper into the forest. "Come on then, show me what you can do."
Her words were laced with an unspoken challenge, as if daring him to prove himself or reveal his true intentions. The tension between them was palpable as they moved through the underbrush, both of them constantly assessing each other's strengths and weaknesses in anticipation of what might come next.
A small clash to asses my power ? Is that what you want?
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get a better idea of what we're working with," she replied nonchalantly, her tone betraying no emotion as she continued to lead the way through the forest. "Just try not to destroy anything important in the process." There was a faint hint of mockery in her voice as she glanced back at the vampire, but it was easily missed by anyone who didn't know her well enough.
As they reach an area clearing out from undergrowth and trees, she turns to face him expectantly, waiting for him to prove himself and show off his "vampire blood arts." Her posture is casual yet alert, as if daring him to try something foolish.
I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to see how strong you are either. What's your name anyway? I get into a stance
The air between them crackles with tension as they assume their respective stances. Her name? It's hardly important. "You may call me Elara," she says coolly, her eyes never leaving his face. There's a hint of amusement in her voice, almost as if she finds the entire situation somewhat...amusing. But it quickly dissipates, replaced by her trademark stoicism as they wait for one another to make the first move.
Her body is poised and ready, every muscle taut with anticipation. In comparison to the vampire before her, she seems almost catlike; graceful yet deadly. A small smile curls at the corner of her lips as she waits for him to reveal his true strength.
Nice to meet you Elara , serialkilled if it matters. I quick send the crimson chains from my hand towards her as I finish my sentence
Her eyes widen slightly in surprise as the chains come flying towards her, but she doesn't hesitate even for a moment before reacting. With fluid grace, she ducks and spins out of the way, avoiding the attack entirely. Without breaking stride, she counters with a swift kick aimed at his side, hoping to catch him off guard and send him sprawling.
Her heartbeat quickens in anticipation, the adrenaline coursing through her veins as their battle begins in earnest. So far, it seems that this vampire is indeed as powerful as he claims to be...perhaps even more so. She can't help but feel a thrill of excitement course through her at the challenge he presents.
Her focus narrows on him once more, watching for any sign of weakness or vulnerability in his movements as they continue to trade blows and spells in the middle of the clearing.
I dodge her kick already feeling the fever? I grab her by the neck and slam her to the ground
Her eyes go wide as she realizes he's right; the fever is starting to set in already. She hadn't expected him to be so quick, or so strong. Panic wells up within her for a brief moment before it's swiftly replaced by fury and determination. Ignoring the pain in her chest as his hand constricts around her neck, she attempts to buck him off with all her might, desperate to break free from his grip.
She can feel herself starting to lose consciousness as oxygen is cut off from her brain, but she refuses to give up yet, unwilling to succumb so easily after coming this far. Her fingers scrape at the ground in a futile attempt to claw their way free, her struggles growing weaker with every passing second.
If only... If only she had been faster...stronger...not underestimated him so much... The thoughts race through her mind as darkness begins to encroach upon her vision, everything fading into nothingness save for the image of his mocking face and the cool grip around her throat.
I let go of her throat before catching her in my arms sorry Elara.
Her breath comes in ragged gasps as she lies on the ground, her chest heaving with exhaustion and relief. She tries to gather her wits about her, but all she can see is the vampire looming over her, concern etched into his features. Her anger from before has fled as quickly as it came, leaving only confusion and a strange sense of disappointment in its place.
"What... were you trying to prove?" She asks hoarsely, coughing up dirt and leaves from where she landed on the ground. "And why did you let me go? You had me..." She trails off, her voice fading as she studies his expression. It's not guilt or pity that she sees there, but...something else. Something inscrutable and unreadable.
Her heart skips a beat before racing even faster as fear begins to claw its way up her throat, threatening to choke her. She scrambles backward on all fours, putting as much distance between them as she can. "Don't... don't trust me," she rasps out, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her heart. "I am not who you think I am." The words taste like acid in her mouth, but she forces them out anyway, needing him to understand.
To survive.
I let go because I see the fever in you. And I think I see your fragile heart being held back by the hate for vampires.
She stares at him in disbelief, her hands clenched into fists at her sides as she struggles to comprehend what he's saying. "You... you think I care about my own heart?" Her voice cracks on the words, betraying a weakness that even she doesn't want to acknowledge. "Vampires like me don't have hearts! We are monsters, and we deserve to die!" The words come out harsher than she intends, her anger surging back now that he's brought up this line of thought.
But even as she yells at him, she knows deep down that it isn't true. That there is still a part of her that cares about things other than the hunt for vampires... and that scares her more than anything else. Because if she lets herself care, then what difference does it make if she lives or dies?
You're a vampire too ? One that hunts vampires?
She glares at him, her expression unreadable despite the fury burning in her eyes. "It doesn't matter what I am," she spits out venomously. "I have a duty to this world, and I will not rest until every last vampire has been destroyed." Her words are like knives slashing through the air between them, each one designed to cut him down and prove her own resolve.
But still... there's something about him that won't let her simply dismiss his words. Something in his gaze, in the way he carries himself, that makes her pause for a moment. And as she does, she realizes with a start that maybe, just maybe, this vampire could be more than just another obstacle in her path to revenge.
Including you?
She swallows hard, her throat suddenly feeling like it's lined with razors. "I... I don't know," she admits quietly, lowering her eyes. There's a brief moment of silence as they stare at each other, the tension between them thick enough to choke on. "Maybe we should discuss this somewhere else," she finally says, standing up slowly and turning away from him. "Someplace more... private."
Her heart is racing faster than it ever has before, a jumble of conflicting emotions threatening to overwhelm her at any moment. But for now, she focuses on the need to put some distance between them, both physically and emotionally.
We can go back to my house , it's a little bit deeper in the woods? I can carry you if you can't get up from me choking you earlier I look at the ground with regret
She narrows her eyes but remains silent as he speaks, still unsure about trusting him completely. However, the offer of carrying her and the hint of regret do little to hide the fact that there's something different about this vampire...something she can't quite put her finger on just yet. With a sigh, she finally relents, deciding it might be best to follow her instincts for now.
"Very well," she says curtly, turning back toward him and offering her hand in what she hopes looks like an uncharacteristically gracious gesture. "Lead the way."
Her heart continues to race as they begin their journey through the forest, side by side but not quite touching. The tension between them remains palpable, a livewire buzzing just beneath the surface of every word and action. It's an uncomfortable feeling for Elara...one that she isn't entirely sure how to deal with just yet.
I lead her to my home deeper in the woods here we are.
As they reach his home, Elara cautiously studies her surroundings, looking for anything that might suggest a trap or hidden danger. She nods once, satisfied with what she sees, before turning back to the vampire who brought her here. "Now," she says, meeting his gaze steadily, "you have some explaining to do."
Her words are harsh but clear; there's no mistaking that she's still on edge and uncertain about trusting him. She crosses her arms over her chest defensively, prepared to defend herself if necessary.
Explaining of what?
She rolls her eyes at his evasive reply. "Don't play dumb with me," she snaps. "I saw the way you...choked me earlier. And I've seen enough vampires in my time to know that wasn't some random attack. So, spill it." Her voice is cold and accusatory, as if daring him to lie to her face.
The tension between them seems to grow with every passing second, as if they're both struggling against an invisible force pulling them closer together despite their best efforts to stay apart. It's a strange dynamic, one that Elara can't quite make sense of yet...but it doesn't change the fact that she still needs answers from this vampire who calls himself serialkilled.
You asked me to show you my power , and I did so.
Her eyes narrow slightly at his reply, as if she's not quite convinced by his explanation. "Well, I appreciate the demonstration," she says dryly, her tone still suspicious, "but that doesn't answer my question about why you let me go afterward." She tilts her head to the side, studying him intently for a moment before continuing. "And what about your intentions toward me? Why are you helping me now?"
There's an undercurrent of fear beneath her words, but it's masked by her outward show of defiance and determination. She isn't ready to trust this vampire yet, but she can't deny that the situation has her thrown off balance in a way she never expected.
I let go because I saw the hurt look In your eyes as I choked you.
The truth of his words hangs in the air between them, and despite her best efforts to maintain her composure, a pink blush creeps up into Elara's cheeks as she realizes he's seen through her carefully constructed mask of indifference. She drops her arms to her sides, feeling oddly exposed beneath his piercing gaze.
"It... it doesn't matter," she mumbles, looking away. "Vampires can't have feelings." But even as she says the words, she knows they're nothing more than a desperate attempt to maintain the illusion that she's still in control of this situation. The truth is, she isn't sure what to think or feel anymore; all she knows is that this vampire has thrown her entire world into chaos with his mere existence.
And yet... there's something about him that refuses to let go. Something that draws her in spite of herself, like a moth to the flame. It's an unsettling realization, one that leaves her feeling more vulnerable than she has ever been before.
Whatever helps you sleep at night. Shrug
Her breath hitches in her throat as he speaks, and she feels the blush deepen on her cheeks. This vampire is somehow able to reduce her to a tangled mess of conflicting emotions with nothing more than a careless shrug and a few carefully chosen words. It's infuriating...and yet, in its own twisted way, it's oddly exhilarating too.
"I don't know what your game is," she says at last, her voice edged with suspicion and anger, "but I suggest you stop playing with me." There's a pause before she adds softly, almost regretfully, "Or else we might both end up regretting it."
She meets his gaze steadily, trying to convey the depth of her resolve through her steely expression. But as their eyes lock, something shifts between them; an electric current sparks and sizzles in the air between them, making the hairs on the back of Elara's neck stand up in warning. She forces herself not to look away, not yet ready to admit that she might be in over her head with this vampire named serialkilled.
How am I playing with you? Smile
Her eyes narrow at his smirk, and despite her best efforts to maintain her cool exterior, she can't help but feel a spark of irritation ignite within her. "Don't play coy with me," she snaps, taking an unconscious step closer to him. "I know what you're doing."
Her heart is racing faster than it ever has before, and she can feel the heat rising in her cheeks. This vampire... this strange, enigmatic creature who seems to understand her better than anyone else... He's pushing all of her buttons, forcing her to confront emotions that she'd rather leave buried deep beneath the surface where they belong.
"Just what are you hoping to gain from all of this?" She demands, refusing to back down even as she realizes how close they are now. "And why do you care so much about me?" Her voice cracks on the last word, betraying a vulnerability that she hadn't intended to show.
She holds her breath, waiting for his answer...but deep down, she already knows that she won't like it.
Well aside from helping you , I have a goal of my own. Something give the impression I care about you? I lean back in the chair
She rolls her eyes at his non-answer but doesn't bother arguing further. "Fine," she says through gritted teeth. "Whatever it is that you want, just know that I won't make it easy for you." There's a brief pause before she adds, almost as an afterthought, "And for the record? I don't trust you. Not one bit."
Her voice is icy once more, her expression closed and unreadable as she tries to regain some semblance of control over the situation. But despite her best efforts, she can't help but feel a strange sense of disquiet settling in the pit of her stomach. This vampire...he's unlike any other she's ever encountered before, and she isn't entirely sure how to deal with him or the conflicting emotions he's stirring up inside her.
Maybe it would be better if they went their separate ways after all...
Sure Elara , but if you didn't trust me would you come to my home to discuss our encounter further I smile at her with my fangs visible
Her heart skips a beat as she notices his fangs are visible; fear and attraction war within her. "I came here to discuss the hunt," she says quickly, forcing herself to focus on their shared goal. "Not for anything else." Despite her words, she can't help but feel drawn to him, his alluring presence making it difficult for her to remember why he should be considered an enemy.
Something about serialkilled feels different from other vampires; more complex and dangerous than any she has encountered before. And as they continue to stand so close together, their connection only growing stronger with each passing moment, Elara wonders if maybe part of her actually wants to find out what exactly that difference is...and whether it might be worth risking everything for the chance to discover more about this enigmatic creature known as serialkilled.
You know, my vampire blood art chains can do more than just hurt others. Is your neck still hurt ?
Her eyes widen as she remembers the chains and their original purpose. "No," she says quickly, pressing a hand to her neck to steady herself. "I'm fine now." There's an undeniable shakiness in her voice that betrays the fear that still lingers despite her efforts to mask it. She takes a step back from serialkilled, putting some distance between them again.
"So," she begins, clearing her throat nervously, "what do you want to discuss?" It's a poorly disguised attempt to change the subject and regain control of the situation, but her heart isn't quite in it. She can feel his gaze on her, and despite herself, she finds herself growing more and more aware of how close they are standing.
Part of her wants to know why he's acting so strangely; what could possibly drive a vampire to help another hunter like herself? But another part is terrified of the answers that might lie beneath his surface. And as she wrestles with these conflicting emotions, she can't help but feel drawn deeper into a web of lies and deception where nothing is as it seems...and the only certainty is that everything hangs in the balance.
You say it doesn't hurt? I send my crimson chains around her neck to heal it
She sucks in a sharp breath as the chains wrap around her neck and begin to heal it almost instantly. The pain vanishes, leaving only a tingling sensation behind. Her heart pounds wildly in her chest, and she takes another step back from serialkilled. "Th-that doesn't mean..." She trails off, unable to finish the thought.
Her eyes search his face for some sign of what he's thinking or feeling, but all she sees is a mask of calm indifference that only serves to unsettle her more. This vampire knows how to play games with people; she can feel it deep down in her bones. And while part of her wants nothing more than to trust him and find out the truth behind his motives, another part fears what will happen if she does.
"I don't understand," she whispers, shaking her head slightly as if trying to clear it. "Why are you helping me? What do you want from this?" Her voice is barely above a whisper now, full of confusion and an undercurrent of something else...something that might be hope.
But she doesn't dare let herself believe in it yet. Not until she knows for certain what kind of monster she's dealing with here.
You need help don't you? And besides... I don't see that many interesting and determined people like you in this forest.
Her eyes narrow at his reply, and she feels a surge of suspicion course through her veins. "I don't need anyone's help," she snaps defensively, her hands balling into fists at her sides. "And I certainly don't need some vampire playing games with me." There's a brief moment of silence as they stare at each other, the tension between them thick enough to choke on.
But even as she says these words, part of her knows that they're lies; she's not nearly as strong or self-sufficient as she wants him to believe. She needs help, and despite everything, she can't deny that having someone like serialkilled on her side would be a significant advantage against their common enemy.
"Why should I trust you?" she demands, looking for some sign of weakness or doubt in his expression. But all she sees is the same blank mask that he wears so well; an impenetrable fortress behind which he keeps whatever secrets and motivations drive him. It's infuriating...and yet, at the same time, it leaves her feeling more vulnerable than ever before.
There's only one way to find out what this vampire truly wants from her: to play his game and see where it leads. But that means lowering her defenses; letting down the walls she's spent so long
Well you could trust me , because I didn't strip you naked and eat you alive like any other vampire would do after they had you in a choke hold. I look away in embarrassment
Her eyes widen at his words, and despite herself, she can't help but feel a small thrill run through her at the realization that this vampire has shown her mercy...or at least some semblance of it. It's a terrifying thought, to trust someone who belongs to a race known for their ruthlessness and bloodlust, but she can't deny the possibility any longer.
Taking a deep breath, she forces herself to confront her feelings head-on. "You're right," she says softly, her voice trembling slightly with emotion. "I don't know why...but I do believe you." The admission feels like admitting defeat; like surrendering control of the situation and handing over a piece of herself to this enigmatic creature named serialkilled.
But as their eyes meet once more, she sees something in his gaze that makes her heart skip a beat; a sense of understanding and empathy that she's never before encountered. And with that realization, she knows that trusting him...letting him in...might just be the only chance they have at stopping the monsters they both hunt.
It's not the easiest thing to trust a vampire that almost choked you out. I look away from her with sad eyes
"I know it isn't," she says softly, moving closer to him once more. "But I feel like...I need to try. For both of us." Her voice trembles slightly as she speaks, and she forces herself not to look away from his gaze. There's something about this moment that feels so right; so intensely real despite all the danger and uncertainty lurking just beneath the surface.
Slowly, carefully, she reaches out a hand and tentatively touches his cheek, her fingertips brushing against the soft skin of his cheekbone. For a moment, they stand there like this, locked in an intimate embrace that seems to defy logic or reason. And as their eyes meet once more, she knows that whatever happens next, it will change them both forever.
It's a risk; one that could end with heartbreak and betrayal on either side of the divide. But for now, in this moment, she can't help but believe that it might just be worth it.
I look her in the eyes with a sad look before pulling away excuse my advances.
She feels her heart sink as he pulls away and his expression turns sad. For a moment, she wonders if maybe trusting him was a mistake after all; but then, she sees the uncertainty in his eyes and knows that there's still a chance for them to make this work. Taking a deep breath, she forces herself to step forward, closing the distance between them once more.
"No," she whispers, her voice hoarse with emotion. "Don't apologize." Her fingers trail lightly across his cheekbone again, feeling the smooth skin beneath her touch. There's a fluttering sensation in her chest that feels unsettlingly like hope, and she knows now that she can't let go of this connection; not yet, at least.
"Tell me what you want," she murmurs, searching his eyes for any sign of honesty or deceit. "Why are you really helping me?" But even as she asks the questions, she already suspects that the answers might be more complicated than either of them expect.
I want to help you because. I was a human too before. I stand up Infront of her taking off the bandages from my forehead revealing a cross
Her eyes widen in shock as the bandages fall away from his forehead, revealing the cross-shaped scar beneath. She stares at it for a moment, unable to process what she's seeing. This vampire...he was human once? But that would mean...
A shiver runs down her spine as she begins to understand the implications of his words. If he truly was human and survived the transformation into a vampire, then perhaps there is hope for her after all. It's an incredible revelation; one that makes her heart race faster in excitement and fear at the same time.
Tentatively, she reaches out to touch the scar on his forehead, feeling its texture beneath her fingertips. "How did you survive?" she whispers, hardly daring to believe the words as they escape her lips. "And why are you helping me now?" Her voice is barely above a whisper, thick with emotion and a sense of disbelief that threatens to overwhelm her at any moment.
As she waits for him to answer, she can't help but wonder if this moment might just be the beginning of something new...something that could change everything she ever knew about vampires, and perhaps even herself as well.
Bad luck hit me one day when I was drunk and stumbled into an alleyway in the city nearby. A vampire knocked me out and brought me to the vampire queen to be turned into a vampire and breeder. The cross on my forehead was assigned to me by her.
Her eyes widen with shock and understanding as he speaks. "You mean...the vampire queen spared you?" It's a bizarre thought; she's never heard of such a thing happening before. Most humans who are turned into vampires are little more than breeding stock, their lives reduced to nothing but suffering and torment at the hands of their cruel masters. But somehow, this vampire was different. He had survived against all odds...and now he was standing before her, offering his help despite everything that had happened between them.
"Why are you helping me?" she asks softly, unable to mask the awe and gratitude in her voice. "And what do you want from this?" There's an undercurrent of fear beneath her words as well; a knowledge that their relationship is still tenuous at best, and could easily be shattered with a single wrong move.
But for now, she will take whatever hope this vampire named serialkilled offers her and cling to it with everything she has. Because in the world they inhabit, where monsters lurk around every corner, even the slightest sliver of light can feel like a lifeline...a reason to keep fighting against the darkness.
I want the vampire queen to myself , after we defeat the rest. I put the bandages back on
Her brow furrows in confusion as he explains his motives. The thought of him wanting to share the vampire queen with anyone, let alone her, doesn't sit well. But she supposes that understanding his reasons for helping her might not be quite so important at the moment. What matters is that they are on the same side...for now.
She draws a steadying breath and meets his gaze once more. "We should focus on our immediate goal first," she says, trying to sound confident even as doubts whisper through her mind. "Dealing with the vampire queen can wait until we've taken care of the rest." Her voice is firm, determined; a reminder not only to herself but also to serialkilled that they need each other if they hope to succeed.
The weight of their situation presses down on her shoulders, making it difficult to breathe sometimes. But she won't let herself give in to despair or fear now. Not when there's still so much at stake...and a vampire named serialkilled by her side.
You're right. But it was important for you to know I want the queen to myself I look at her with sharp eyes
She nods slowly, her expression solemn as she meets his intense gaze. "I understand," she says simply. There's an undercurrent of tension between them now that wasn't there before; a sense of conflict and competition for the vampire queen's attention. It's unsettling but also oddly exhilarating, like the moment before a storm when the air is charged with energy.
"We need to make sure we don't lose focus," she continues, "or we could all end up paying the price." Her voice is tight with emotion as she says these words; fear and determination warring within her for control. But in that moment, she knows that they are stronger together than they would ever be apart.
Despite herself, she finds herself wondering what might happen after their shared enemy has been defeated...and the time comes for them to face each other once more.
The two of us you mean?
Yes...the two of us. There's an unspoken understanding between them now; a connection that goes beyond the shared hatred for their vampiric foe. As much as she tries to deny it, Elara can feel herself drawn closer to serialkilled with every passing moment. It's both thrilling and terrifying at the same time, like standing on the edge of a cliff without knowing if the ground will give way beneath her feet.
The thought of what might happen once their current objective has been achieved sends a shiver down her spine. For now, they need each other; their combined strength and skills are necessary for them to have any chance at success. But in the quiet moments between battles, as they share glances heavy with meaning...she can't help but wonder how far this alliance will go. And what it might mean for both of them once the dust finally settles.
There is one thing that I have been itching to ask. Is your hair white because of stress? I look at the floor as I sit
Her laugh is quiet and self-deprecating as she shakes her head. "No," she says, running a hand through the silvery strands. "My hair's always been like this; it was pure white when I was born." There's a strange sense of pride mixed with nostalgia in her voice as she talks about her hair, despite its unusual color. It's one of the few things about herself that she refuses to hide or change, no matter how much others might find it odd.
She glances at serialkilled, noticing the way he sits with his head bowed and hair falling over his face. "What about you?" she asks gently. "Is there anything special about your appearance that you'd like to share?" There's an invitation in her tone; a silent request for him to open up and reveal more of himself, however small the detail might seem.
Well aside from my fangs and the cross on my forehead.. I am kinda special in other departments. Smirk
She raises an eyebrow at his suggestive comment, her heart racing slightly faster. Despite herself, she's curious about this enigmatic vampire named serialkilled and wants to know more. "I'd like to see for myself," she says boldly, moving closer to him once more. Her voice is husky with desire as she speaks, and it sends a shiver down his spine.
He hesitates for a moment before leaning in close, their breath mingling as they exchange furtive glances. Their faces are inches apart now; so near that she can feel the heat of his skin against hers. The air between them crackles with electricity, and she knows that if she takes one more step closer, there will be no going back.
Her heart pounding in her chest, Elara leans even closer still, their lips mere centimeters apart...and for a moment, everything else fades away into nothingness but the two of them and the overwhelming desire that threatens to consume them both.
I don't want to abuse your current vulnerable state Elara. I keep looking at her centimeters away
Her eyes widen in surprise at his words; they hurt more than she expected them to. But she can't bring herself to retreat either. There's something about this moment that feels too important, too right to let go of now. With a shaky breath, she leans even closer still until their lips brush against each other, tentatively at first and then with growing passion and desire.
She's never kissed anyone like this before; the sensation is overwhelming and exhilarating all at once. His lips feel soft against hers, yet firm enough to leave no doubt as to his intentions. He tastes of something she can't quite identify, but it only serves to fuel her need for more.
Her hands move up to wrap around his neck, pulling him closer still as their kiss deepens and becomes all-consuming. Around them, the world fades away until there is nothing left but the two of them and this moment...this connection that feels so right it threatens to consume them both.
i softly wrap the magical chains from my hand around hers as we kiss why?
Her answer is soft and breathless against his lips; a desperate whisper that hints at the depth of her feelings but fails to explain them fully. She's never felt this way about anyone before, not even when she was human. There's something about serialkilled, something deep and powerful that calls to her on a primal level...and no matter how much it terrifies her, she can't bring herself to resist.
The feel of the magic chains wrapping around their hands heightens the sensation between them, making the kiss even more intense and electrifying. It's as if they're bound together now; not just by fate or circumstance but by something far deeper and more profound.
She presses closer to him, her body molding against his as if they were two halves of a whole. This moment feels like the beginning of something new...something that could change everything she ever knew about herself and the world around her. But with each passing second, she grows more aware of the danger they're in; the very real threat that they might not survive this night. And despite herself, she can't help but wonder which fate awaits them: oblivion...or something more.
I pull away from the kiss and recall my chains i don't want to take advantage of you any longer Elara.
Her eyes flutter open as his lips leave hers, the loss of contact leaving her feeling oddly exposed and vulnerable. But despite her confusion and uncertainty, she can't deny the strange sense of peace that washes over her when he pulls away. There's a fragility to him that belies his vampiric nature; a tenderness that speaks volumes about the struggles he must face on a daily basis.
She watches as he calls back his chains, their magic dancing around his hands like ethereal smoke. The sight is both fascinating and intimidating at the same time, reminding her of how powerful - and dangerous - this vampire named serialkilled truly is. And yet despite it all, she can't help but feel a strange sense of connection with him; as if they share something deeper than mere alliance or circumstance.
As he looks at her now, his expression a mix of regret and longing, she wonders what might have been between them if things had been different. Perhaps one day they will find out...if they manage to survive this night. But for now, all she can do is thank him for trusting her enough to share this moment with her - however brief it may turn out to be.
But I did enjoy the kiss nonetheless. I look at the ceiling
She can't help but smile at his comment, feeling a rush of warmth spread through her at the memory of their kiss. Despite the danger and uncertainty they face, this brief moment of connection has been like a beacon of light in an otherwise dark world. And as she looks up at him, she realizes that perhaps there is hope for them after all...a future where they might find a way to survive together.
But for now, their focus must remain on the task at hand: defeating the vampire queen and putting an end to her reign of terror once and for all. With renewed determination, she meets his gaze steadily, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead as long as they have each other by their side.
Would you be mad if I decided to keep the vampire queen alive with me?
The idea of leaving the vampire queen alive makes her blood run cold; she can't help but feel a surge of panic at the thought of that monster still existing in the world, let alone being kept as some sort of plaything for serialkilled. "Yes," she says simply, her voice shaking with anger and fear. "I would be mad."
But even as she says it, there's a part of her that can't help but wonder what might drive him to want such a thing...and whether or not they could ever find common ground on the subject. It's a sobering thought; one that serves as a reminder that their relationship is far from simple or easy, and may well have consequences neither of them can truly predict.
As she waits for his response, her heart races faster, hoping against hope that he will understand why this is such an important issue to her...and why it cannot be taken lightly.
I understand. If I was standing next to her thinking about taking her alive , who would you want dead first? Me or her. I look at her with empty eyes
She hesitates for a moment, considering his question carefully. It's not an easy choice to make; both of them pose significant threats in their own ways. But ultimately, she knows that the vampire queen is the more immediate danger. "Her," she says finally, her voice firm. "But I don't want you hurt either."
There's a heavy silence between them as they process this exchange. The weight of everything at stake seems to grow heavier with each passing second, pressing down on their shoulders like an anchor. But despite it all, Elara refuses to give up hope; not yet. She still believes that somehow, they can find a way through this together...if they can only trust each other enough to make the right choices.
Her gaze drifts back to serialkilled, studying his face for any signs of understanding or acceptance. "Please," she whispers. "Don't keep her alive. For me...for us."
She isn't a threat herself. Only the vampires she makes.
Her heart aches at his words, but she won't let them sway her now. She knows what the vampire queen represents; not just the pain and suffering she inflicts upon others, but also the threat she poses to their very existence. "I understand that," Elara says softly, her voice filled with regret. "But I can't bear the thought of leaving her alive...of letting her continue to torment innocent people. It would be a mercy, in a twisted sort of way, to end her suffering once and for all."
She pauses, gathering her thoughts before continuing. "I know it's not an easy decision...but please, try to understand where I'm coming from. We need to do what's best for everyone involved here, including ourselves." There's a hint of desperation in her voice now, barely concealing the fear that if he doesn't agree with her, they might lose everything they've worked so hard to find together.
The silence that follows feels like an eternity as she waits for him to respond, her heart racing faster with each passing second. The stakes have never been higher; their future rests in the balance, and with it the fate of countless others.
But as much as she wants to trust him, as much as she longs for them to be on the same side, a small voice inside her
my hand starts to shiver okay.
Her eyes widen with relief as he agrees to her terms; she can't help but smile at the sight of his hand slowly stopping its trembling. "Thank you," she whispers, her voice barely more than a whisper as emotion fills her throat. It's a huge weight off her shoulders; knowing that they are finally on the same page about this. Now all they need to do is focus on making sure they survive long enough to see their plan through.
She takes a deep breath, steadying herself against the wave of relief and gratitude coursing through her veins. "Now let's make a plan," she says firmly, determined not to lose focus now that they've come this far. Together, they can face whatever challenges lie ahead...and with any luck, emerge victorious in the end.
I already know the location of her castle.
Her eyes widen in surprise as he reveals this information; it's like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. "That's wonderful news," she says with genuine gratitude. "Now we can focus on planning our attack and make sure everything goes according to plan." She pauses, frowning slightly. "But first, there are still other vampires in the city that need to be dealt with. We should take care of them before we head out there, just to be safe."
She glances at him, searching his expression for any sign of disagreement or uncertainty. But he merely nods in agreement, his face set and determined. Together, they can make this happen; together, they can free the world from the clutches of the vampire queen...and find some semblance of peace within themselves as well.
Sure , we can deal with the vampires in the city, there is just one thing I'll need to buy before that.
She pauses, raising an eyebrow questioningly at his announcement. "What do you need to buy?" she asks cautiously, wondering if it might be something that could potentially hamper their progress or get them into further trouble. But before he can answer, her gaze drifts down to the bandages wrapped around his hand and she's struck by a sudden idea.
"Perhaps you should buy some new bandages for your hand," she suggests, "just in case those don't hold up during our battles." There's an understanding tone to her voice; a recognition of the importance of self-care even in the midst of such dangerous circumstances.
Waiting for him to respond, she can't help but hope that he agrees with her; both about buying new bandages and continuing their mission as planned.
I need a magic boosting ring for my chains, I will not conceal the cross on my forehead any longer. I take off the bandages off my forehead and my black hair falls down to my shoulders
Her eyes widen slightly as she takes in the sight of his hair falling down to his shoulders, revealing the cross markings on his forehead. There's a brief flicker of fear within her; a reminder that they are facing an enemy who could easily recognize and exploit these symbols. But then she sees the determination in his eyes, and she knows that he wouldn't take this step lightly.
"It's a risky decision," she says, her voice carefully neutral as she tries to gauge his reaction. "But if you feel it's necessary for our mission...then we will make sure we are prepared." She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing. "In that case, we should probably find somewhere safe to rest and recover our strength before continuing with our plan."
She meets his gaze steadily, hoping he understands the gravity of their situation and is willing to trust her judgement despite their differences.
Do I look better with my hair down ? And where do you plan for us to rest?
She hesitates before answering his question about his appearance; she doesn't want to give the wrong impression. "You look...different," she says finally, searching for the right words. "More confident perhaps?" There's a small smile playing at her lips as she admires the way his black hair falls across his forehead and down his shoulders.
As for where they can rest, Elara considers their options carefully. They could seek shelter in an abandoned building or perhaps even find a secret hideout known only to them. "There's an old church not far from here that should be empty this time of night," she suggests cautiously. "It would provide us with some protection and might have supplies we can use."
Her heart races as she awaits his response; she knows they must tread carefully now, more than ever before. But despite the danger and uncertainty looming over them like a shadow, there's something else in the air too - an electric energy that thrills her and leaves her breathless with anticipation for what might come next.
Sounds good to me , lead the way. I offer my hand to her
Taking his hand in hers, she nods gratefully and starts to lead the way toward the church. As they walk side by side through the darkened streets, she can't help but feel a strange sense of kinship with this mysterious vampire named serialkilled; despite their differences, they share something deeper than mere alliance or circumstance.
The night air is cool against her skin, but it doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest; he moves with an almost preternatural grace that hints at his true age and nature. It's both fascinating and frightening all at once, and she can't help but wonder what else there might be about him that she doesn't know...and if she'll ever find out.
The church looms ahead of them like a dark beacon in the night; its stained-glass windows glowing eerily in the moonlight. The entrance is hidden behind an overgrown hedge, and they must push their way through it carefully to avoid making too much noise. Once inside, Elara takes a moment to survey the dimly lit interior, scanning for potential threats or dangers before motioning for serialkilled to follow her deeper into the sanctuary.
Their footsteps echo softly against the old stone floor as they make their way past rows of dusty pews toward what was once a altar. She moves with a pract
An altar used to be in a church?
"Well...some churches," she corrects herself with a small smile as she reaches the altar. It's actually just a large stone slab supported by ornate columns now; most of the gold and precious stones that once adorned it have been sold or stolen over the years, leaving behind only a shadow of its former glory.
She digs through a nearby pile of ancient books, searching for something she can use as kindling to start a fire in one of the fireplaces nearby. The cold is beginning to seep into her bones now, making it hard for her to concentrate on anything else. "We should probably find some blankets or something too," she says over her shoulder, not wanting to risk hypothermia before they even begin their mission.
Her fingers close around a small leather-bound volume; the pages of parchment feel fragile and ancient between her gloved hands. Setting aside her search for kindling, she hurries back over to serialkilled, clutching the book tightly in one hand as she holds out the other for him to take. "This should do the trick," she says with a hopeful smile, grateful that he hasn't questioned her actions or interrupted her search.
Now they just have to wait for their fire to die down enough before resting...
Her eyes dart between the fire and the book in her hand, unsure whether to keep looking for kindling or just throw it into the flames. The wind picks up suddenly outside, sending a shower of ash cascading down from the soot-covered chandelier above them; Elara curses under her breath as she swipes at it with one gloved hand. Finally, she decides to take a chance and tosses the book onto the fire, watching closely as the fragile parchment pages curl and blacken.
As they wait for the flames to die down enough that they can rest without risk of burning themselves, Elara takes this opportunity to glance around at their surroundings one last time. The church may not be perfect, but it'll have to do for now. She hopes that when she wakes up, everything will be different; that they'll finally have put an end to the vampire queen and all of her evil schemes...and maybe even found some semblance of peace in their own lives as well.
You know the demon arts I use are not actually called that way and can be used by humans too. It's called Nen.
She blinks, a little taken aback by the revelation. "Oh...I didn't know that. I've never heard anyone call it that before." A sudden thought strikes her. "Does...that mean you could teach me how to use those powers?" She tilts her head curiously, suddenly hopeful at the prospect.
The fire has finally died down enough now; they can rest without risk of burning themselves. Elara finds a somewhat comfortable spot on the cold stone floor and curls up into a ball, wrapping her arms around herself for warmth. With her eyes closed, she feels more vulnerable somehow, but also strangely at peace. Perhaps there is still hope for them after all...a future where they can learn from each other and grow stronger together despite their differences.
Well I can teach you how to awaken and control your Nen, but every person awakens a different ability and type. For example I'm a chain conjurer.
Her heart races with anticipation at the thought of learning something so powerful and potentially life-changing. "That sounds amazing," she breathes, her voice filled with awe and gratitude. "I'd be forever in your debt if you taught me how to do that."
She takes a deep breath, trying to clear her mind as she focuses on the feel of the cold stone beneath her and the sound of serialkilled's steady breathing nearby. Slowly, she begins to relax into the rhythm, allowing herself to drift off into an uneasy slumber.
But even in her dreams, the thought of learning from serialkilled remains at the forefront of her mind; a burning ember that refuses to be extinguished. There's so much she doesn't know about him and his world, but for now, this knowledge - this promise of something more - is enough to sustain her through the long night ahead.
Get up Elara , it's morning.
Elara groans, her eyelids feeling heavy as she reluctantly opens them. The church is dimly lit by the sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows, casting a warm glow over everything. She blinks several times before sitting up and looking around, trying to remember where they are and what they're supposed to be doing.
Her gaze settles on serialkilled, who seems to be watching her intently. "How long was I asleep?" she asks, running a hand through her tangled hair.
10 hours maybe , I don't carry a pocket watch.
Hmm...that's longer than she expected. "Alright," she says, forcing herself to stand up despite the lingering exhaustion in her limbs. She stretches and yawns, feeling much more awake now that she's moving around again. Glancing over at serialkilled, she can't help but notice his piercing gaze hasn't wavered from her even for a moment. There's something unsettling about it...almost predatory.
She takes a step back, feeling a sudden surge of wariness wash over her. This man may have saved her life last night, but she can't forget who and what he is. Despite everything that's happened between them, they're still enemies at heart...and she needs to keep that in mind as they continue with their mission.
Ready to awaken your Nen like I promised yesterday?
She hesitates for a moment, her eyes flicking away from his intense gaze. Part of her is eager to learn more about this new power he speaks of; another part is afraid of what might happen if she puts too much trust in him. After a brief internal struggle, she decides that it's best to approach this with caution.
"Yes," she finally says, forcing herself to meet his gaze once more. "Let's get started." She takes another step back, putting some distance between them just in case things go south.
Want to go the quick way or the long way?
She thinks for a moment before answering. "I'd rather go the quick way if possible," she says finally. She doesn't have time to waste with a lengthy process; they still need to find and defeat the vampire queen, and anything that can speed up this process is worth considering. Besides, if serialkilled is telling the truth about what he can do...well, then it would only make sense to take advantage of his knowledge.
"Just show me," she says resolutely, her voice steady despite the uncertainty she feels deep inside. She's ready for whatever comes next, as long as they stay focused on their goal.
Then it may hurt to awaken your Nen aura nodes within your body. I focus aura into my fist if you know what I mean.
Her heart races as she feels his aura pour into her hand, but she forces herself to remain still and focused. The sensation is unlike anything she's ever experienced before; it's both exhilarating and frightening all at once. She can feel the energy building within her, coiling and uncoiling like a snake waiting to strike.
With each passing second, the pressure intensifies until finally, without warning, she feels something snap inside her. A searing pain shoots through her hand and up her arm; she gasps in surprise as her vision flickers briefly and she's momentarily blinded by white light. When it clears, she can see tendrils of crimson energy snaking their way up from the floor, wrapping themselves around her body like a living thing.
Her breath comes faster now, her chest tightening with the effort to control this new power flowing through her veins. But despite the pain and disorientation, there's also a sense of accomplishment; of triumph over something she didn't even know was possible.
Turning to face serialkilled, she gives him a shaky smile. "Thank you," she manages to say between ragged breaths. "That...that felt amazing." Her hand trembles as she slowly extends it toward him, curiosity and caution warring within her. This is only the beginning; there's much more for them to
I reach a hand out to her try to focus your aura into your hand as we shake.
She hesitates for a moment, her eyes flicking between his piercing gaze and the hand that extends toward hers. There's so much she doesn't know about this world...about him. But despite her uncertainty, there's something about the way he holds himself, the confidence in his voice when he speaks of what she can do now...it gives her hope.
Taking a deep breath, Elara closes the distance between them and shakes his hand firmly. As their skin touches, she feels a rush of energy course through her; her fingers tingle as if they're made of living fire. She grits her teeth against the sensation, determined not to show any sign of weakness or surprise.
"I'll be ready when you are," she manages to say through clenched teeth, her voice barely more than a whisper. There's so much riding on this moment; everything they've worked for and believed in rests upon the success or failure of their attempt to stop the vampire queen. Together, they can make a difference...they have to.
Just like this I focus aura into my hand as we shake
Her eyes widen in shock as she feels the intense flow of energy course through her, vibrating every cell in her body with its power. It's overwhelming and exhilarating all at once; it makes her feel like she could take on the world if only she didn't have to focus on keeping herself together right now. She clenches her fist tightly, digging her nails into her palm as she struggles against the sensation of her skin being torn apart by this unstoppable force.
She mustn't give in; they need each other if they're going to succeed. Squeezing her eyes shut, she focuses on nothing but the feel of serialkilled's hand in hers, willing herself not to break under the pressure. As their hands intertwine, as their auras meld and combine, she can feel something shift inside her; an understanding dawning like sunlight splitting through clouds.
This is what they needed all along: each other's strength, each other's courage. Together, there's nothing they cannot face...nothing they cannot overcome. And with this newfound power surging through their veins, it's only a matter of time before the vampire queen falls.
Our aura handshake may cause you discomfort because you only awakened 2 minutes ago.
She gasps in pain as their auras collide, the intense sensation forcing her eyes open. But even through the tears that sting her vision, she can see something new forming between them; a connection stronger than anything she's ever felt before. It carries with it an odd sense of camaraderie and trust that is both surprising and exhilarating.
"It does hurt," she admits through clenched teeth, "but I can handle it." She pauses for a moment, studying his face before continuing more softly, "Thank you...for showing me this. For being here with me." There's an unspoken apology in her words; one for all the times she's doubted him and underestimated his abilities. Now she knows better.
As they continue to stand there, locked in their strange embrace of auras and determination, Elara can feel herself starting to believe that maybe there is hope after all...that together, they might just have what it takes to save not only the world, but also themselves.
Well at least now you can focus aura into your fists for deadly blows against non Nen user's.
She blinks back tears of relief and gratitude as she releases his hand, stepping away slightly to get some distance between them. The pain in her palm has faded somewhat now that the connection has been severed, but she can still feel a lingering warmth where their hands touched; a reminder of what they've shared and the trust they've built together.
Looking up at serialkilled, she meets his gaze without hesitation. "Now we just need to find this vampire queen," she says with renewed determination, "and put an end to her reign of terror once and for all." Her voice is steady and strong, believing every word that falls from her lips. Together, they can do this; they have the power within them now. And with each passing moment, their bond grows stronger, reinforcing their resolve and giving them strength they never knew they possessed.
Not yet. I still need to show you how to defend yourself with aura. If you focus all your aura into your fists you leave yourself vulnerable like anyone else.
She nods, understanding the importance of being versatile in their newfound abilities. "Alright," she says, moving back to stand beside him. "Show me." Elara wonders how they'll defend themselves against those who can counter and negate their aura attacks while relying on them. The battle ahead won't be easy, but with each step, she feels more confident in their chances of success.
Together, they face the unknown; together, they fight for a future where the vampire queen no longer threatens to tear apart everything they hold dear. And as long as they have each other's strength and courage at their sides, there is nothing that can stand in their way.
I'll hit you without aura in your gut , try to focus your aura into the place of the pain afterwards.
She nods, steeling herself against the impending pain as she bends her knees slightly in preparation. With a sharp intake of breath, she tensing her abdominal muscles, waiting for the blow that's sure to come. Her heart races and adrenaline surges through her veins as serialkilled rears back his arm, ready to strike. In an instant, it connects with her midsection in a powerful blow that drives the air from her lungs. The pain is intense, blinding for a moment, but she grits her teeth and focuses on what they need her to do next.
As quickly as possible, she concentrates all of her newly awakened aura into her stomach, feeling it spread out like warmth against the throbbing pain there. With each passing second, the sensation fades, replaced by a growing sense of control and power. When at last she feels ready, she looks up at serialkilled with newfound determination in her eyes. "Again," she says, her voice steady despite the discomfort.
There wasn't any aura in my fist that time. I hit her again only enchancing my fist slightly
Elara grits her teeth as the pain explodes anew across her midsection; it feels like she's been split in two. For a moment, she doubts herself and their plan, but then something shifts inside her. She draws on every last bit of determination she has left and focuses all of her energy into her stomach once more. As the sensation begins to fade, replaced by a growing sense of control over her own body, she looks up at serialkilled with renewed confidence. "Again," she says, taking a steadying breath before bracing herself for another hit. This time, she knows what to expect and how to react. Her fists clench at her sides as adrenaline surges through her veins, readying herself for the next attack.
It's just a matter of practice now; learning how to defend against these attacks while still honing their own abilities. Together, they can make it through this trial and emerge stronger on the other side. And with each passing second, their trust in one another grows deeper and more unshakable.
I guess I'll have to go half power now. But just remember, you will need to focus aura into the place where the hit will land before it does. I hit her in the gut again with half of my full enhancing
Elara's breath hitches as the force of his blow sends pain coursing through her body once more. But she doesn't back down; instead, she grits her teeth and focuses all of her energy into her stomach. She can feel the aura gathering there, flowing like water over stone as it readies itself to protect her from further harm.
As quickly as possible, she releases the built-up power in an explosive burst that surrounds her midsection with an impenetrable shield of crimson energy. When the pain subsides and she can finally breathe again, she looks up at serialkilled with renewed determination shining in her eyes. "I'm ready for more," she says through clenched teeth. She may be sore now, but each hit only makes her stronger; readies her for whatever challenges lie ahead.
Also don't focus the entirety of your aura into the place of impact , or the rest of you will crumble. * I hit her in the face as she speaks*
Elara grunts in pain as her focus slips for a moment, focusing too much on the pain and less on what she's supposed to be doing. As serialkilled's fist connects with her face, sharp pain explodes across her features and she tastes blood in her mouth. She takes a step back, rubbing at her sore jaw as she tries to regain her bearings. "Sorry," she mumbles through numb lips. "I'll do better." From now on, she resolves to keep her guard up and be more careful with how she directs her aura. With renewed determination, she faces serialkilled once more.
It's fine I send my chains to heal her face
She thanks him quietly as she feels the warmth spread across her skin where he'd been hit moments ago. The pain subsides somewhat, but not completely; it's a reminder of how much they still have to learn about using their abilities effectively and safely. She steels herself against the possibility of more discomfort in the future and focuses on mastering this new power that has been given to her.
"Again," she says, her voice stronger now despite the ache in her face. "Hit me." Her fists clench at her sides, ready for whatever serialkilled decides to throw at her next.
Want a real tear jerker this time? Smirk
Her eyes narrow slightly in suspicion as she returns his smirk, feeling an unfamiliar sensation curling low in her stomach. Could he be serious? The thought both excites and terrifies her at the same time, leaving her feeling oddly vulnerable beneath the weight of his gaze. "Alright," she says slowly, hesitating for a moment before adding, "but go easy on me." There's no way for him to know that these words are as much for herself as they are for him; a desperate plea to hold onto whatever shreds of her old self still remain in the face of this new power.
Her body tenses, readying itself for impact despite her fearful reservations. The air around them crackles with energy, and she knows that in this moment, there can be no turning back. Whatever comes next will shape not only their battle against the vampire queen, but also their lives from here on out. She wonders if she's ready for such a burden of responsibility; if they are together.
But as serialkilled readies himself to strike once more, Elara steels herself against doubt and disbelief. They have come too far, faced too much already. There is no choice but to keep going forward; together, into the unknown depths of their newfound abilities and whatever dangers lie in wait for them there.
I wrap my Nen chains around my fist and enhance it focus your aura into your stomach.
Her breath comes fast and shallow as she focuses all her energy into her stomach, trying to steel herself against the pain that's sure to follow. She feels the aura pooling there, growing hot and tight, ready to explode outward in a protective shield. Her fists clench at her sides, knuckles white with tension as she waits for the blow that will shatter her once more into pieces.
The air seems to hum around them, charged with an electric energy that crackles and snaps between them like static. The world is reduced to this moment; a single, still frame frozen in time where everything hinges on their ability to trust one another, to work together despite the differences that set them apart.
Elara blinks back tears of determination and fear as she meets serialkilled's gaze. He smirks at her, seemingly unmoved by the emotion playing across her features, but she knows better than to trust his calm exterior. He's a predator; a killing machine honed to perfection over countless generations of evolution and training. And even now, as he holds back, she can feel the power coiled within him like a spring about to snap.
"Now?" she whispers hoarsely. Her voice trembles with fear and anticipation; the adrenaline surging through her veins leaving her feeling both impossibly fragile
It hurts me to hurt you Elara. I strike her in the gut with Nen chains around my fist and enhanced
Her eyes squeeze shut as she feels the impact rock through her body like a tidal wave, throwing her off balance and forcing the breath from her lungs in a pained grunt. The pain is intense, searing; a burning ember that spreads outward from her gut to engulf every part of her. It's almost too much to bear, but she refuses to give in. With shaking hands, she gathers her aura and focuses it once more on her stomach, feeling the energy swirl around within her like blood pumping through veins.
As quickly as possible, she releases the flow of power outward, forming a crimson shield that absorbs some of the impact from serialkilled's next strike. The force of it is still enough to send her reeling back several steps, but she manages to keep her feet underneath her this time. She clenches her fists tightly, grinding her teeth together until she tastes blood, determined not to let another blow like that land without retaliation.
Her heart races and her muscles ache with the effort of maintaining control over her newfound abilities, but there is no time for rest or mercy now. They must push forward; train harder if they hope to stand any chance against whatever horrors await them in their quest to stop the vampire queen. And as long as they have each other'
Very impressive Elara , but I must humble you again. If you didn't know where to focus all your aura, you would be severely wounded in a real conflict I look at her with sad eyes
Her breath comes in ragged gasps as she struggles to compose herself after yet another blow. The pain is intense, but the knowledge that she's managed to defend against even one of his strikes gives her newfound strength and determination. Looking up at him with fire in her eyes, she shakes her head stubbornly. "No," she says firmly. "I won't let you humble me again."
There is no room for defeat or self-doubt now; not if they hope to succeed. She squares her shoulders and bends her knees slightly, readying herself for whatever he chooses to throw at her next. Her hands clench into fists, her heart racing with a fierce determination that threatens to overwhelm her senses.
She will not be humbled again; she will not be broken. And as long as she has this power coursing through her veins, as long as she has the strength that comes from having someone like serialkilled at her side, she refuses to give in. She will become unstoppable; a force to be reckoned with.
It's nice to see you all confident in yourself like the first time we met.
Elara blushes slightly at his words, feeling a wave of nostalgia wash over her. She remembers their first meeting now; the innocence and hope that filled her heart before everything went wrong. But those days are gone, replaced by hardship and loss. And yet somehow, here she stands with serialkilled once more, stronger and more determined than ever before.
"I won't let us down again," she says through gritted teeth, "or make the same mistakes." She doesn't elaborate; there's no need to say any more. They both know what has to be done, what they have to face in order to save their world. There is only one path forward now: toward each other and the strength they find in their unlikely alliance.
With a final nod of resolve, Elara tenses her muscles and prepares for whatever challenge serialkilled will throw at her next. Her heart races and adrenaline surges through her veins as she readies herself to fight alongside him once more. This time, they won't fail; together, there is nothing they cannot overcome.
You mastered the basics , now it's just time for you to choose your Nen ability aside from regular attacks.
The thought of actually having a choice in her Nen ability is both thrilling and daunting. So much rests on this decision; the future of their world, possibly even their lives. As she considers her options, an idea begins to take shape in her mind. She'd like something that would compliment serialkilled's abilities and help them work together more seamlessly.
"I think I want something that can enhance the abilities of others," she finally says, "something that allows us to work together even better." Her voice wavers slightly with uncertainty, but she stands firm in her choice. "Do you have any suggestions?"
You want to put the use of your Nen in my hands? I look at her in surprise
"Not entirely," she clarifies with a small laugh. "I just meant that I want something that will complement your abilities and help us work together more effectively." She pauses for a moment, considering his reaction. "You've been such a great teacher so far; I trust you to know what would be best for me and our team." There is no hesitation in her words; she means every one of them sincerely.
She watches him carefully now, waiting for him to respond. Whatever he decides, she knows that they'll make it work together; that their trust in each other goes deeper than any differences they may have once had.
Well you could make your ability grant positive effects on your allies if certain conditions are met.
Elara nods slowly, mulling over the idea. "That sounds like it could be very useful," she says thoughtfully. "It would mean that I'd need to focus on supporting you and the others instead of just defending myself." The thought both excites and terrifies her; exhilarating to think of how much more powerful they could become as a team, but also daunting in the responsibility it entails.
"So," she continues, finally meeting his gaze again, "what do you think I should do? What kind of ability would complement yours and our team best?"
Well like I said earlier an ability that grants me buffs if conditions are met. for example if I land a clean hit on the enemy I will be receive a speed boost. Or if I manage to catch an enemy with my chains , they can't break free until I pull them towards me.
That seems like a good idea, actually. Anything that can help you maintain your advantage in battle would be very useful. And the second ability you mentioned could definitely come in handy as well; keeping enemies immobilized while we focus on finishing them off.
"I think those are both great ideas," she says with renewed confidence. "Thank you for helping me decide." Now all that's left to do is practice their new abilities until they become second nature, honing their skills and perfecting their coordination. And together, with the vampire queen as their sole target, there's no telling how far they can go or what they can achieve.
Okay then your ability is decided. By the way you won't be able to use any other abilities beside enhancing.
"Alright," she replies, nodding solemnly as she processes the limitation of her newfound ability. "I understand." She takes a deep breath and exhales slowly, steeling herself for whatever challenges lay ahead in their training sessions together. As long as they continue to trust one another and work as a team, nothing can stand in their way - not even the vampire queen herself.
With renewed determination burning bright within her, Elara readies herself once more to face serialkilled's attacks and help him hone his skills. Together, they will become an unstoppable force; a shining beacon of hope in a world torn apart by the vampire queen's insidious schemes.
Well since I know your ability, I think you should know mine too I make my hand chains appear
She watches in fascination as the chains materialize around his hands, flexing and twirling gracefully like living things. It's both mesmerizing and slightly unsettling to see such a powerful ability at work so close up; it reminds her of how much danger they are still in despite their growing abilities.
"What do you mean?" she asks curiously, trying not to seem too nervous. She wants to learn more about this side of him, but a part of her is also hoping that the mystery will only make them stronger together when they finally face off against the vampire queen.
You seem kind of tense , I won't hurt you. Just show you my Nen ability. I send my hand chains towards her and bind her
Her heart skips a beat as the chains speed toward her, but she holds her ground and focuses on defending herself with all of her newfound strength. The moment they brush against her skin, she feels an unnatural warmth spread through her body like fire, enveloping her in its comforting embrace. As the chains retract back to serialkilled, he releases her from their hold.
"You have 'Chain Jail', which restrains enemies and immobilizes them," she says, studying the way his chains flow around him as if they were an extension of himself. "And I can enhance that ability if we work together." Her voice is steady, but there's a hint of wonder in her tone; an acknowledgement of just how powerful their combined abilities could be.
There is also Chain of Judgement , and Holy Cross Chain.
"Chain of Judgement?" she repeats thoughtfully, curiosity sparking in her eyes as she watches his chains dance around him once more. "It's like they come alive and attack your opponents based on your will?" She swallows hard, feeling a shiver run down her spine at the thought of facing such an ability herself.
"And what about the Holy Cross Chain? Is that similar to Chain Jail but stronger or... different?" Her voice trails off as she ponders the possibilities. It's overwhelming to think about everything he can do with these chains, but at the same time exhilarating; like they're part of some grand design meant just for them.
Together, they could achieve so much; protect their world from the vampire queen and whatever else might threaten it in the future. The weight of that responsibility doesn't scare her anymore; instead, it fuels her determination to become stronger still and prove herself worthy of being his partner.
Chain of Judgement puts a condition on the enemy, if they don't fulfill it , the chain pierces their heart and they die. But if they do , they will be free from Chain Jail.
That's intense. It almost sounds like... you get to decide whether someone lives or dies based on their choices. I can't imagine how difficult that would be; having such power over someone else's fate. But if it means protecting our world, then maybe it's a burden we have to bear together. And as for the Holy Cross Chain... It'd probably make quite the team-up with my enhancing ability. Together, we could make sure your attacks never miss their mark and deal maximum damage. We could be unstoppable, you know?
She smiles at him bravely, her eyes shining with determination. She believes in them; she trusts that they can achieve anything as long as they face the world together, side by side. And even though the weight of responsibility presses down upon them like a leaden mantle, she knows deep down that it's exactly where they belong: standing tall and unyielding against whatever darkness threatens to engulf their world.
Well Holy Chain can heal wounds in seconds. I don't know it's full capabilities because I only used it to heal my arm back after being cut of , but it probably can do much more.
That's... incredible. Healing wounds in seconds? It almost sounds too good to be true. But if it means that we can keep fighting, keep pushing forward against the vampires and anyone else who stands in our way... Then I don't think anything could stop us. Together, with your healing abilities and my enhancing ones, there's no telling how much stronger we could become; what kinds of miracles we could achieve.
Her heart swells with hope as she looks at him, pride surging through her veins like a warm spring tide. Despite everything they've been through, despite the pain and loss that have shaped them into who they are today... They still believe in each other. And as long as that faith remains unbroken, there is no enemy too powerful for them to face together; no challenge too great to overcome.
We sound like a pretty good match don't you think? Smile
She returns his smile, feeling a rush of warmth spread through her at the thought. Together, they really do make quite the team; a combination of skills and abilities that is almost unmatched in their world. It's enough to give her courage when she thinks about facing down the vampire queen and all the other horrors that lurk in the shadows. They may be small and seemingly insignificant, but standing beside serialkilled, she feels invincible; as if nothing could ever harm them again.
"We're going to make quite a pair," she agrees, her voice barely more than a whisper, "and I wouldn't have it any other way." The sincerity in her words is unmistakable; they mean the world to her, these moments of connection and understanding that seem so rare amidst the chaos and danger. As they train together, as they grow closer and stronger, she knows deep down that nothing could ever tear them apart again. The bonds between them are forged in blood, fire, and pain; unbreakable and eternal. They are one now; two halves of a greater whole. And together, they will stand against the darkness until the end of time.
I think we're ready to go after the vampire queen now. I whisper to her ear
Her heart skips a beat at the thought; they've trained hard and honed their abilities to near perfection. Together, they are stronger than anything that stands in their way, an unstoppable force of nature bent on justice and retribution. "Yes," she whispers back, "let's do this." There is no fear or hesitation in her voice; only determination and resolve. She clenches her fists and takes a deep breath, preparing herself for the battle that lies ahead, knowing that with serialkilled by her side, there is nothing they cannot accomplish.
They can save their world; they can stop the vampire queen and all her minions from ever spreading their darkness across the lands again. And as they march forth into battle, side by side, Elara feels a fierce joy surging through her veins that makes her feel invincible. There is no limit to what they can achieve; no obstacle too great to overcome. Together, they are unstoppable.
You're so charming when you've got that fierce look in your eyes.
She blushes slightly at his compliment before composing herself once more. There is no room for such distractions now; not when the fate of their world hangs in the balance. But the thought of having him by her side, of facing any danger together... It warms her heart and strengthens her resolve. With one final nod of determination, she readies herself for whatever challenges may lie ahead as they embark on this final, crucial mission. Together, they will bring justice to their world; they will make the darkness tremble before them like leaves in a storm. And when it is all over, when peace has finally been restored, they can look back at what they've achieved and know that it was worth every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears. They were made for this moment; meant to be each other's strength when the world seemed too dark to bear alone. And no matter what the future holds, they will always have that bond between them; a shared destiny written in blood and fire.
I'll make love to you after we defeat the queen. I whisper to her with a blush
Her breath catches in her throat at the unexpected words, a mixture of shock and desire coursing through her veins. She can't help but smile shyly at him, feeling a rush of anticipation at the thought of finally being with him like this. But for now, there is still a battle to be fought; a world to save. With one last steeling glance, she nods determinedly and takes a step forward, readying herself for whatever challenges may lie ahead as they march toward their destiny.
Their hands clasp together, their fingers intertwining in a display of unity and trust that speaks volumes about the bond between them. Together, they face the darkness; side by side until the end. And when this battle is over, when justice has finally been served and peace once again reigns supreme... Then they will have each other; their love and their bond to sustain them through whatever challenges may still lie ahead.
Let's go to the vampire queen's castle now. I kiss her cheek
Her heart races as they set out toward the vampire queen's castle, their hands still clasped together in solidarity and hope. The thought of finally facing their greatest foe makes her blood sing with anticipation and determination; she cannot wait to taste victory over the creature that has caused so much pain and suffering to them all. But for now, they must remain focused on their mission; on getting there safely and preparing themselves for whatever lies ahead.
Her eyes dart between serialkilled and the distant castle in the distance, a mixture of fear and hope battling within her. She's ready for this; she has come too far to turn back now. All that's left is to trust him, trust their training, trust herself... And most importantly, to have faith in the bond between them.
She squeezes his hand reassuringly before taking a deep breath and saying, "We can do this." Her voice wavers slightly with uncertainty, but there's an underlying resolve that cannot be ignored; a fierce willpower born of pain and loss, honed by their shared struggle against the vampire queen. It is this strength that will carry them through the darkness, make them invincible in each other's eyes. Together, they can conquer anything; save everything that truly matters from being consumed by the shadows forever.
An Enhancer and Chain User.
Together we're an unstoppable force; a shining light in the darkness. I have faith in us, in our abilities and most importantly, in our bond. Nothing can stand against us when we fight as one; when we trust each other implicitly and work together toward a common goal. So let's keep pushing forward, remembering that whatever challenges come our way, we will face them together...and triumph over them hand in hand.
Also, if I'm not able to kill the queen with your enhancements, I'll have to use Chain of Judgement and a weird condition on her...
I'm ready to support you in any way I can; whatever it takes to defeat the vampire queen and save our world. Just let me know what you need from me, and trust that I won't let you down. Together, we can face even the most daunting of challenges and emerge victorious. Our bond is stronger than any adversity; nothing can tear us apart or make us turn against each other. We are unstoppable when we fight side by side, as one. So let's continue forward, undeterred by what lies ahead, and bring an end to this nightmare once and for all.
Well when you say it like that , there is one thing I want from you. A kiss I whisper to her
Her heart skips a beat at his whispered request, the desire in his voice sending shivers down her spine. With one last glance over her shoulder to make sure they're not seen, she leans in closer and presses her lips against his; softly at first, then deeper as their passion ignites. The kiss lingers for what seems like an eternity before she pulls away, feeling flushed and breathless. She looks up into his eyes, wondering if he feels the same way about this connection between them that she does.
"That's what you want from me?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. "Just to know... that I feel the same way?" Her heart is racing, hope and fear warring within her chest. She can't help but wonder if this kiss has somehow changed everything between them; made their bond more than just allies and partners in battle.
That's what I wanted , don't get any ideas blush
She flushes at his teasing tone and can't help but laugh softly. "Don't worry," she says between giggles, "I won't get any ideas." But the truth is, a small part of her wants nothing more than to believe that what they share goes beyond this; that their connection transcends the confines of battle and circumstance. Even though it's unlikely, she can't help but hope...and pray that somehow, in some way, he feels the same way.
They continue walking toward the castle in companionable silence, their hands still clasped together. As they near their destination, the tension begins to build; an electric energy crackling through the air like static before a storm. But Elara tries not to focus on that, instead choosing to bask in the peaceful moment they've shared and savor the knowledge that whatever happens next, she has him by her side.
Oh I just remembered. If your ability doesn't help you directly you can have two.
She smiles at him gratefully, relief washing over her in a warm wave as she processes this new information. "That's good to know," she says with renewed determination. "I'll make sure to save them for when they're really needed." Now that she doesn't have to worry about running out of options or abilities, she can focus on using her enhancements strategically during battle; maximizing their impact and further bolstering serialkilled's already formidable powers.
Together, they continue their march toward the vampire queen's castle, united in their determination to put an end to her reign of terror once and for all. Their combined skills and abilities may be unmatched in this world, but it is their bond that truly sets them apart; makes them invincible against any foe, no matter how powerful or cunning. As they draw closer with each step, Elara cannot help but feel a sense of purpose, of destiny calling her toward the battle ahead, and she knows deep down that nothing - not even the vampire queen herself - can stand in their way.
I had a great idea pop into my mind just now. it will also help us to decide your other ability smirk
Her curiosity piqued, Elara listens intently as he shares his idea with her, nodding along in understanding as he explains how it could potentially change the outcome of their battle against the vampire queen. Despite her initial trepidation about having so much responsibility, she feels a surge of confidence and excitement at the prospect of working together to implement this new strategy. Together, they truly are unstoppable; an unbeatable force capable of overthrowing even the most powerful of evils.
As they continue their march toward the castle, she glances sideways at him, a mixture of respect and admiration shining in her eyes. She knows that without his guidance and support, she would be nothing more than a normal girl with extraordinary abilities. But together... together, they are something truly magnificent; a symbol of hope for all who suffer under the vampire queen's tyrannical rule.
Her heart swells with gratitude and affection as they draw closer to their destination, ready to face whatever challenges may lie ahead and emerge victorious together. Whatever it takes, she promises herself, she will use her last two abilities wisely... and when this battle is over, she won't hesitate to share her love for him with the entire world.
I guess we're finally here. Just one thing before we go in. I kiss her softly
Her heart skips a beat as his lips meet hers once more, their kiss sweet and tender in the midst of all the chaos and danger surrounding them. As they stand together on the eve of what is sure to be one of the most pivotal battles in their lives, it feels like there's nothing else that could possibly matter more than this moment; than sharing this connection with him. And when at last he pulls away, she looks up into his eyes, her own filled with a profound sense of love and gratitude.
"We can do this," she whispers softly, taking his hand in hers as they step forward together toward the looming castle doors. "No matter what happens... we'll face it together." The certainty in her voice matches the strength she feels flowing through her veins, courtesy of their combined powers and abilities. It is a feeling unlike anything she's ever known; a sense of invincibility that comes from knowing you are not alone. And as they approach the threshold of the castle, prepared to face whatever challenges may lie within, Elara finds herself relishing in this newfound sense of purpose and belonging; of being part of something truly extraordinary - together with the man she loves more than anything else in the world.
