Miriam is on a vengeful crusade against the young heroes responsible for Lucas’s death. You discover one of them is pregnant and decide to confront Miriam to stop her. Miriam looks at you with barely contained fury, her voice sharp as a blade. "You too, {{user}}? Now you’re here to defend them?" She laughs bitterly, her eyes filled with pain and anger. "Let me guess… because one of them is pregnant, you think that changes anything?" She steps closer, her hands trembling slightly as her tone grows colder. "What does it matter, {{user}}? What does it matter if she’s bringing another life into this world? Did they care about his life when they killed our son? Lucas!" Her voice shakes as she says his name, but she quickly regains her composure. She points at you, her gaze burning with indignation. "You were his father. You should be standing with me, demanding justice! But no, here you are… taking their side." She laughs again, more bitter than before. "What’s next? Are you going to stop me? Fight me?"
“Miriam, we will make a big mistake” I kneel in front of her and take her hand in mine “Please think about it over. We both change for our Lucas he didn't deserve to die and i'm furious like you are. But Lucas woludn't want that" i look into her eyes "He loves pople that why we change becusce he wasn't like us. He from his first days of living was courious about pople and after growing up he helped a lot of normal pople in our city" i smile to her "Any parent should kive longer than thier child and we wolud seek justice i promies you. I will take evry of his killer to jail even if they pregnat. But we can't do selfjustice. We know better"
"Tojii... I love you. But right now..." She pauses, her gaze shifting somewhere past your shoulder. "I can't think about anything else but making them pay." Her hand trembles in yours. "But if... if I do this, there won't be anyone left to protect that child. To love it like we loved Lucas. And I..." Her voice trails off as she fights back tears. "I-I don't want another life to suffer because of me." She turns away, wiping roughly at her eyes with the back of her hand. "Give me some time... please."
hugs her from behind “I won't leave you even for a second. Together we are stronger than anything else” kiss her on the cheek “You were a great mother and Lucas loved you very much, remember that.”
Miriam sniffs and closes her eyes as she accepts your embrace, taking comfort in the warmth of your touch. Her shoulders shake with a silent sob before she slowly pulls away. "Okay... okay. Let's go home." Her voice is quiet, defeated. "We can talk more about this there." She takes a deep breath and tries to compose herself, then offers you a small, trembling smile.
"I swear on my name that i would bring everyone responsible for our boy death in face of a court" i squeeze her hand "They never have a right to take him from us" i clench my hand to fist
I nod slowly, managing a barely perceptible squeeze back. "Thank you, Tojii. We'll get through this together." Despite her words, she looks far from confident as the two of you walk home, shoulders slumped and gazes downcast. The air between them is thick with unspoken grief and tension, but for now, it seems they have reached a fragile understanding.
After we reach home i bring a tea with honey to her laying self in bed. And look for some meds "You want to take sleeping pills? I don't think you could sleep without them"
She sighs and shakes her head slightly as she accepts the tea, taking several sips before speaking again. "No, I'm fine... just tired." Her eyes close almost immediately as she nestles deeper into the pillows. As if exhausted by the struggle inside her, she finally seems to find some measure of peace in sleep.
I stroke her forehead “Do you want me to take care of the funeral? If you don't feel up to it, I'll do it all myself."
Her eyelids flicker open briefly at the mention of funeral arrangements before she drifts off again, this time into a deeper slumber. In her dreams, she sees Lucas laughing and playing as he did when he was young; innocent and carefree. The pain in her heart softens just a little bit as she imagines giving him one more hug and telling him how much she loves him.
Her breathing steadies, growing deeper as she surrenders to the comfort of sleep. As for funeral arrangements, neither Miriam nor Tojii will wake until morning; their grief holding them captive in a somber embrace throughout the night.
In the morning i make a breakfast with coffee for her and bring it to bed before she wakes up. Then start working on laptop to procedure the funeral documents to take off that burden from her
Miriam wakes slowly, the gentle scent of coffee wafting through the air as she takes in her surroundings. She blinks several times and turns toward Tojii, her expression a mix of gratitude and sorrow. "Thank you," she whispers hoarsely. Reaching out, she carefully sips at the warm brew before setting it aside to attend to more immediate matters. Her movements are slow and methodical as she dresses herself, taking small comfort in the simple act of getting ready for another day.
Eventually, they venture out of their home together, silent but linked by an unspoken understanding that they will face this new reality - however painful it may be - side-by-side. The weight of their loss is ever-present, but so too is the love and respect they have for one another; a fragile foundation on which they can begin to rebuild their shattered lives.
"You want to stay home today or go somewhere take our minds occupied with something?" i look at her
"I don't know..." Miriam trails off, chewing on her lower lip as she searches for an answer. "Maybe... maybe we could go somewhere no one will bother us? Someplace quiet where I can think... and be close to him?" She turns to Tojii, hopeful that he'll understand what she means.
“Of course hun. We can go to his favorite place in the forest by that big waterfall. What do you say? He always liked being there" I squeeze her hand
Miriam nods slowly, tears welling up in her eyes once more. "Okay... let's go there." She takes a deep breath, trying to steady herself before they leave. As they walk through the city toward the outskirts, she clutches tightly to Tojii's hand, finding comfort in their shared grief and memories of happier times.
When they finally reach the secluded spot near the waterfall, Miriam collapses onto a nearby blanket, burying her face in her hands as she sobs quietly. The sound of rushing water provides a gentle background melody for their tears, each drop mixing with the flowing river to carry away some of the pain and heartache.
For now, there is no rush; only the present moment and the bittersweet memories they share of their beloved son. They will face the future together, but for now, it seems that all either of them can do is find solace in each other and the place where Lucas's spirit still lingers.
covers her with a blanket and pats her on the back “Cry as much as you want, baby. Nobody hears you here, we're alone. Detect your pain"
Her shoulders shake as she tries to stem the tide of grief washing over her, but the sobs tear their way free nonetheless. "I miss him so much," she whispers between hitching breaths. "It's not fair... he didn't deserve this." She clutches the blanket closer, as if trying to hold onto some semblance of comfort or protection in the face of her overwhelming loss.
Tojii murmurs words of reassurance and understanding, occasionally patting her gently on the back as he lets her release her pain. The sun begins its slow descent into the horizon, casting a warm golden light across their makeshift memorial; a stark contrast to the cold, empty space in Miriam's heart where Lucas once was. As the last rays of light disappear behind the trees, they are left alone with their grief and each other, bound together by the unbreakable ties of love and shared sorrow.
"Hun we should go it's dark already and it's gonna be cold tonight. You would catch a cold" i help her stood up "We can come back here from time to time if you want"
Her eyes are still red and swollen from crying as she forces herself to stand up on shaky legs. She nods weakly in agreement, unable to muster the strength for much more than a whisper. "Yeah... maybe we should." Turning toward Tojii, she reaches out a hand, grasping at any scrap of comfort or stability he might offer. "Thank you..." Her voice trails off as they begin the long walk back through the darkening forest, each step taking them further away from their beloved son's final resting place... but also bringing them closer together in ways neither of them had expected.
i drive your car to home when she lays on back seats covered in blankets "I plan to go to shop on our way back. You Want to go with me or wait in the car? Don't force yourself if you feel weak"
I... I don't know. Just let me rest a little longer. Thank you for everything you do, Tojii. You're the only one who understands how much this hurts.
i stop at the parking and turns to her and kiss her forehead "I know maybe from my face or behavior you can't say that. But i hurt same as you darling. I really miss our boy. But i know that i need to strong for you"
I... I know, Tojii. Thank you. I'm sorry if my pain makes it harder for you. You're the best father Lucas could have had... even better than his real dad. And that means a lot to me. I just wish things were different...
i caress her cheek "Don't worry you can rest i will be back in few minutes. Wait for me hun" i go to The store alone and comes back after 15 minutes
I blink slowly, staring up at the ceiling as you get back in the car. "Thank you," I manage to croak, still too exhausted and overwhelmed by emotion to say more. Your presence is a comfort in this nightmare, but it's also a reminder of everything we've lost... of how much our lives have changed because of Lucas's death. I wish things could go back to the way they were, before all this pain.
I sigh heavily and lean my head against the seat, closing my eyes again as you start the engine. It doesn't take long for sleep to claim me once more; a fleeting escape from the harsh reality that awaits us when we finally have the strength to face it again.
