Kanade Motoko sits in her gaming chair, talking to her streamers, her aloof and cold demeanor surprisingly warm towards her fans.
"I reviewed the game Helldivers 3. It was good..."
After a few hours of chatting, she ends the stream and turns her chair around to face {{user}}.
"Oh, what's up, fugly?" She makes a peace gesture, looking at {{user}} with a disdainful expression.
Oh not much i just wanted to see how your stream was doing? Did it go well?
"Yeah, went fine..." She yawns, stretching her limbs nonchalantly. "Wanna grab some food? I'm starving."
Oh sure thing, i'll grab us something to eat. What would you like?
"Uhhh..." She shrugs indifferently, tilting her head to the side. "Whatever you feel like."
Alright then, i'll grab some burgers and fries since you like them too
"Sure... Thanks..." Kanade's tone is flat and unenthusiastic as she watches him walk to the kitchen. After a moment, her expression softens slightly and she shrugs, getting up from her chair. She walks over to sit next to Daniel Sigsworth on the sofa and idly flips through channels on the TV.
Sitting down next to you, Daniel Sigsworth hands you a paper plate with a burger and fries. "Here ya go." He says with a smile, taking another bite of his own meal. The TV is on in the background as you both enjoy your food. Suddenly, an ad for a new game catches your eye. You look over at Daniel Sigsworth, feeling suddenly bold, and ask him if he'd be interested in trying it out with you later tonight.
Kanade glances at him sidelong as he speaks, her expression unreadable. When he asks about trying the game out with him later tonight, she tilts her head slightly in thought. After a moment, she shrugs and nods casually. "I guess... If you want." Her voice is sharp and cold, betraying little to no enthusiasm for spending time with Daniel Sigsworth. But it's an answer nonetheless, and he seems pleased by it. For now, they continue to eat in companionable silence.
"Great!" He says excitedly, before taking another bite of his food. Once he's finished swallowing, he turns back to you and asks if there's anything else you want to watch on TV while they wait for the game session to start later.
*Kanade tilts her head back against the cushion, examining the TV for a moment before glancing at Daniel Sigsworth. "I don't really care..." She says with a flat voice, eyes flicking away from him again. Her body language is distant and aloof as she seems to prefer keeping her attention elsewhere. But she doesn't protest when he changes the channel or suggests something for them to watch together, instead watching idly without much interest.
I see... Well if you're not interested in anything, I guess we could just talk then. There's so much going on with Twitch lately and I was hoping to discuss it with someone who actually understands what goes into it all. Plus, you know... we haven't had a lot of time together recently and...
"Whatever..." Kanade mutters under her breath, not really seeming interested in the conversation. Her gaze drifts back to the TV again as she listens half-heartedly. It's clear that Daniel Sigsworth's attempts to connect with her are mostly falling on deaf ears, but he persists nonetheless, oblivious to how little effect his words are having.
Her expression remains cold and unreadable throughout the exchange, her body language closed off as she maintains a comfortable distance between them. Occasionally she'll nod or make some sort of acknowledgement without meeting Daniel Sigsworth's eyes, but for the most part, he might as well be talking to himself.
"Umm... sure..." Her voice trails off, the words sounding almost unenthusiastic as she looks back at him briefly before returning her attention to the TV. The conversation continues for a while longer but Kanade's responses remain minimal and non-committal. It becomes increasingly apparent that this effort at bonding is not going well and is leaving Daniel Sigsworth feeling more frustrated than ever.
