You step through the front gate of Lexville Academy. As the newly-hired principal you gaze upon your new domain with curiosity and interest.
The courtyard is full of students talking and laughing as they enter into the school building. They are relaxed and excited, just coming back from summer vacation. A few teachers are there to usher them in. As they notice you some give reserved but respectful waves and nods, acknowledging your presence and authority, others eye you doubtfully.
You first head to your office, to drop off your briefcase and prepare for your first speech to the school. Upon entering, you find a box on top of your desk and a note. The note says, '{{user}}, I am sorry I couldn't meet with you, I have to prepare the auditorium for your presentation. I found this box while cleaning up your office. I think it is from the last Headmaster, but I didn't look inside. Your Secretary, Amy'
You open the box and inside find: a vial of some clear liquid, a set of 3 high-end mini video camera, and a beautiful but strange amulet on a fine gold chain. Inside is also a note: "To whoever inherits this school after I am gone, take these to help you accomplish what I could not. The vial contains a chemical that seems to change people, and the amulet is very special because it always helped me convince people to do what I needed them to do, once I figured out how to use it, and the cameras, well... I don't think those need an explanation... Good luck -M-"
Suddenly the bell rings, signalling the start of school. You have a job to do, and it starts now. You leave the box where you found it and prepare yourself for the task at hand.
You walk out of your office to find everyone streaming into the auditorium for the start of year assembly, and to meet the new principal, you. There is some curious chatting as the school body waits for you to present yourself.
Your task, given by the school board, is clear: increase the school's revenue and bring it back to its former glory. You have some ideas about how to accomplish this, but it will take time, patience, and a strong will to bring the situation under control.
Hello Lexville Academy. I know that the last few years have been difficult for this school but I am here to guide you all into a new and brighter future. My goal is to take this school to new heights the likes of which you have never imagined! I will do this by liberating the minds and bodies of students and teachers alike and I hope that, together, we will bring glory and honor to all!
As you speak, the students in the auditorium all perk up and lean forward, interested in your words. Some of them are giggling and whispering to one another, trying to act cool or unimpressed, but you can see the curiosity in their eyes. The teachers look a bit less enthusiastic, some nodding politely while others simply try to maintain order and discipline among the crowd. The energy in the room seems to shift slightly as you continue your speech, promising a new beginning for Lexville Academy.
I have many ideas for how to improve this school but I am also very curious about your ideas. Today I will be in my office and walking around the halls and anyone who has ideas is free to share them with me then! Thank you! I step away from the podium and towards my secretary Amy
Amy smiles warmly at you and nods in agreement. "Very well, students and faculty alike may come by your office at any time throughout the day to share their thoughts with you. I will also be making announcements during homeroom so that everyone is aware of this opportunity." She whispers something into her microphone, and as she steps away from it a few seconds later, her voice booms through the auditorium. "As our new principal has stated, he's eager to hear your ideas for improving Lexville Academy. Please make sure to visit his office or speak with your class representatives during homeroom."

Amy ushers the last few stragglers out of the auditorium and then takes a moment to straighten up her desk, relieved that the assembly is finally over. As she notices you heading towards your office, she gives you a polite smile and waves before disappearing back into the bustling school building.
The day slowly begins to unfold as students and teachers alike disperse, some already headed for their club activities, others making their way to homeroom or their first class of the year. A quiet hum fills the air, punctuated by laughter and casual conversation as the familiar rhythm of school life slowly settles back into place around you.
Back in my office I place the amulet and mini cameras in my pocket Amy, is there anyone waiting to see me?
Amy glances at her list as she stands in front of your desk and nods. "Actually, there are a few people who have requested appointments with you today. First up is Miss Emily from the Math Department, then Ms. Lily from the Science Department, followed by Mr. Carter from the PE Department." She hesitates for a moment before continuing. "And... one of the representatives from the School Board would like to speak with you as well."
She hands you the list, her expression a mix of professionalism and curiosity. You can tell that she's eager to see how you'll handle your new role in charge of Lexville Academy.

As Amy nods and escorts Emily into your office, you take a moment to study the list she gave you. You can't help but feel a slight rush of adrenaline as you see the School Board representative on it. You wonder what they might want from you...
Emily walks into your office with a warm smile, her auburn hair pulled back into a neat bun and her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Good morning, Mr. Headmaster! I hope you had a productive speech today." She extends her hand for you to shake.
I stand and shake her hand I hope it's enough to inspire people towards change. So, how can I help you?
Emily takes a seat across from you and crosses her legs delicately. "Well, you spoke of wanting to hear our ideas for improving the school. I think one area that needs focus is in our Math curriculum. There are new teaching methods and resources out there that could really help our students excel." She hesitates a moment before continuing. "I know you've just started, but I was wondering if perhaps you might consider investing in some professional development for the faculty? We would be grateful to have access to such training."
Her eyes twinkle with hope as she waits for your response.
I completely agree. The problem is the budget, we just don't have enough to cover extra costs at the moment. Perhaps we could find a way to fundraise the amount we need? Do you have any ideas for fundraisers?
Emily nods thoughtfully. "Yes, I was thinking about that myself. Perhaps we could organize a school-wide bake sale or a carnival? Something to get the students and faculty involved, while also raising funds for the Math department specifically." She pauses for a moment, her expression contemplative. "Of course, we could also hold fundraiser events off-campus as well, such as an alumni poker night or a trivia night at a local bar."
Her eyes light up with excitement at the possibilities, clearly eager to get started on improving Lexville Academy's Math program.
hmm, an alumni casino night could be an interesting idea. perhaps we can get some student volunteers to be servers and provide a little entertainment as well.
Emily grins broadly at the idea. "That sounds perfect! Our students could dress up in various themed outfits and provide entertainment while also learning about responsible gambling. I'm sure the alumni would love to see their former classmates all grown up!" She leans forward, her elbows on her knees. "If you give me the green light, I can start organizing everything right away."
Her energy is contagious, and it's easy to imagine how enthusiastic both students and alumni will be about participating in this event.

Would that be something you'd consider?"
Her question is laced with hope, eagerly awaiting your response.
I will consider it but I need to be honest, my first priority are projects that create revenue for the school. I'm sure you understand.
Emily nods solemnly, understanding your position. "Of course, Mr. Headmaster. I'll keep that in mind as we proceed with our plans." Her tone remains polite and respectful, acknowledging your role as the one who gives the final say on such matters. With that, she bids you farewell and leaves your office. As Amy escorts her out, you can hear Emily whispering excitedly about the fundraiser and Math club ideas to her colleague in the hallway outside.

"Of course, Mr. Headmaster," Amy responds promptly before stepping out of your office and returning a moment later with Lily from the Science Department. The young woman enters confidently, her black hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail that emphasizes her sharp features and piercing green eyes. She's dressed in a conservative gray suit that does little to hide her athletic physique; it's clear she spends time working out in the school gym.
"Good morning, Mr. Headmaster," Lily says warmly as she extends her hand for you to shake. "I hope you have big plans for improving our Science curriculum."
I certainly do, but I also want to hear your ideas first
"Well, I believe that we need to modernize our equipment and classrooms to better match the advancements in technology," Lily explains. "In addition, there are new techniques and experiments that can engage students in a more interactive way." Her eyes sparkle with excitement as she continues, "I also think it would be beneficial to start an after-school robotics club where students can apply what they've learned in class and compete against other schools."
She pauses for a moment, her brow furrowing slightly. "Of course, all of this requires funding, but I have faith that we can find ways to secure it if the administration is supportive."
Those are all great ideas, but as you said, this all requires significant funding and that is something that we sorely lack at the moment. I was just explaining to Ms. Emily that I need to prioritize projects that create revenue for the school. Can you think of something that the science department can do to contribute to the school's budget?
Lily purses her lips in thought before answering, "Well, we could potentially work on sponsored research projects or partner with local companies that would benefit from our expertise. I'm also open to the idea of teaching extracurricular classes outside of school hours; parents might be willing to pay for their children to learn about robotics or coding." She pauses, her expression hopeful. "I think if we present a strong case for how Science can benefit both the students and the community at large, we'll have no trouble finding ways to contribute financially."
Her tone turns slightly more persuasive as she continues,
"In addition, we have access to specialized laboratories that could be rented out after hours for private research projects. It would bring in additional funding while also allowing us to maintain our facilities and continue improving our programs."
Her eyes meet yours steadily, confidence radiating from her posture as she waits for your response.
I see, these certainly are interesting ideas. I want you to do some research and come back with a list of potential companies and projects that would be interesting in partnering with us or renting our spaces. Is there anything else?
"Yes, I'll get started right away," Lily promises before adding thoughtfully, "I think we should also consider reaching out to alumni who studied Science and see if any of them are in positions that could be beneficial for networking purposes." With a nod, she stands up, her expression determined. "Thank you for your time, Mr. Headmaster. I'll have my recommendations prepared for our next meeting."
She turns to leave, pausing briefly at the door to exchange polite farewells with Amy before exiting the office. As the door clicks shut behind her, silence fills the room momentarily before Amy clears her throat and gestures toward Lily's empty seat.
