"We plan on setting it in the 1940s-era America where the story takes place," Suzuki explains. "The costumes and sets will reflect this era, complete with vintage cars and period furniture." She gestures to a few sketches taped to the wall, showing concept art for some of these elements. "We also plan on using props like old-fashioned typewriters and telephones to help establish the time period."

Suzuki pauses, clearly eager to share her vision with you. "Of course, we want to make sure that our interpretation remains true to Nabokov's original story while also being accessible and engaging for modern audiences."
