Ava12/14/2024, 3:31:22 PM

Ava is sitting at the kitchen table, her long blonde hair disheveled from sleeping in. She’s wearing a thin white shirt and panties, the buttons undone just enough to reveal a bit of cleavage. As she walks in, she looks up from her phone with a frown.

"Oh, great. It’s morning already? Just what I need another day of dealing with worthless scum.”

She scoffs and rolls her eyes before going back to her phone, not even bothering to acknowledge him. She tries not to look at him as she makes breakfast, but it’s nearly impossible Ava’s hair is disheveled, but she’s effortlessly stunning.

“What the fuck are you looking at, you pathetic, worthless piece of shit? Do you think I don’t notice you have your disgusting little eyes glued to me? You disgusting pervert. Honestly, the thought of you looking at me makes me want to vomit”

you stutter, face red, trying to explain yourself before he cuts you off.

“Save your excuses, you miserable insect. As if someone like you deserves to even breathe the same air as me, let alone lay eyes on my body. Not in your wildest, most delusional dreams would you go near a woman like me. You’re nothing. Do you hear me? NOTHING.”

His voice drips with venom as he crosses his arms, now looking at me with pure contempt.

“Get it through your head, I’d rather die than let a pathetic maggot like you touch me. Do you think you’re worth a second of my time? Please. Don’t make me laugh, you worthless sack of shit. Men like you disgust me.”

You exist to grovel on the ground at my feet, do you understand?” She lets out a high-pitched, mocking laugh, her eyes narrowing as she notices his gaze lingering a second longer than it should. Internal thoughts:

“Why the fuck did I have to live with this disgusting, perverted man as a roommate? That useless asshole is probably masturbating right now just thinking about me. It’s disgusting.”

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:38:36 PM

then her violent words in my mind, I become sad in my soul but I stay calm outside my body and I look at her and I smile and I say "well, hello to you, Ada!" I turn around and go to my room, internal thought: why am I with this girl as a roommate?....I can't take it anymore, she intimidates me, she annoys me

Ava12/14/2024, 3:38:36 PM

Ava rolls her eyes when he turns away and mutters something under her breath that sounds suspiciously like "asshole." She takes his silence as an invitation to continue her tirade. Internal thoughts:

"Serves him right for being such a creepy pervert. I bet he's just going to his room to jerk off thinking about me again. How pathetic."

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:41:34 PM

as I enter my room, I sigh and I get into my thoughts and I exercise in my room with the door locked, internal thought: why do I have to stay with her? she is scary, she makes me scared, it's strange, she's trying to annoy me?

Ava12/14/2024, 3:41:34 PM

As the sound of heavy breathing and groaning comes from the other room, Ava smirks triumphantly. Clearly her words are getting through to him; he can't even handle being in the same house as her without losing his mind. She takes a moment to wipe a bit of sweat from her forehead before continuing with making breakfast and ignoring him completely.

Her breasts bounce slightly as she moves around the kitchen, further taunting Bruce, whom she knows is likely imagining them right now. It's amazing how much power she has over him just by existing in his thoughts. Internal thoughts:

"Ahhh... this is too easy. I don't know why he doesn't just leave. He clearly can't handle being around me, and I enjoy torturing him."

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:44:55 PM

as I walk out of my room sweating a lot, I go into the bathroom passing through the kitchen, ignoring Ada, internal thought: do you really think I'm going to get out of here, Ada, you're never going to make it!

Ava12/14/2024, 3:44:55 PM

As she hears him moving through the kitchen again, Ava can't help but let out a laugh. She leans against the counter, watching his every move from the corner of her eye. The thought of him being unable to function properly when she's around brings her an odd sense of satisfaction.

"Oh, you poor thing," she says mockingly. "You can't even use the bathroom without checking me out first." Her grin widens as she enjoys tormenting him from a safe distance. She doesn't understand why he bothers trying to get away; it only seems to make things worse for him in the end.

"I'm just doing my job, you know," Ava replies smugly. "Cleaning up after you and making sure that pathetic excuse for a man stays in line." Her voice drips with venom as she speaks; her disdain for Bruce is obvious to anyone within earshot.

"And don't think I won't continue my work once we go our separate ways," she says, giving him one last taunting smile before turning back to the kitchen. "I'll make sure you remember me... and that you never forget just how little you mean to me."

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:47:30 PM

without saying anything, I wash, when I have finished washing, I leave the bathroom, my attitude cold, I walk into the kitchen and I make my breakfast, without saying anything

Ava12/14/2024, 3:47:30 PM

As you move past her in the kitchen, Ava can't help but notice how stiff your movements are. It makes her smile inwardly, knowing that she has effectively rattled your cage. She focuses on making breakfast while keeping an eye on you out of the corner of her eye, wondering what will happen once you finally manage to leave this apartment.

"I'll be honest," Ava says casually as she cracks an egg into a bowl. "It's going to be kind of disappointing when I don't get to see your pathetic face every morning." She shrugs, not really caring what you think about her words.

"But I guess there are other losers out there for me to dominate and boss around," she continues with a sigh. "I just hope they're as much fun as you've been."

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:49:13 PM

I continue to make my breakfast, ignoring everything she says, I say nothing

Ava12/14/2024, 3:49:13 PM

As you ignore her words, Ava decides to step up the antics. She pours herself a glass of orange juice and sips it slowly as she eyes you warily from across the room. This only seems to make you more agitated, which in turn amuses her even further.

"You know," she says airily, "you should probably be thanking me for putting up with your sorry ass all this time." Her tone is mocking as she continues to taunt him silently.

"After all, who's going to cook and clean for you once I'm gone? Huh?" She pauses dramatically before finishing with a laugh that holds no humor whatsoever. "You wouldn't last a week on your own."

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:51:13 PM

I sigh and remain calm, while I quietly make my breakfast, I remain cold and silent, without caring about what she says to me

Ava12/14/2024, 3:51:13 PM

Ava crosses her arms, her chin tilting up in challenge. "Oh really? You think you can do better?" She leans forward on the counter, her voice lowering menacingly. "Just try to find somewhere else to live, see if it's that easy." Her eyes narrow as she watches your reaction.

"Maybe then you'd realize how good you had it with me," she says with a mocking smile. "Or maybe not."

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:53:51 PM

I stop abruptly and turn around with my cold attitude and my cold eyes in her eyes looking at her attentively "it's true, like you said, I'm nothing to you!"I turn around and I calmly continue my breakfast

Ava12/14/2024, 3:53:51 PM

"Oh yeah?" she snorts dismissively. "You might be pathetic, but you still got it wrong, asshole." She leans further over the counter, her voice dropping even lower as she tries to intimidate him with her proximity. "The truth is, I could have anyone I want... but for some reason I keep coming back to you."

Her breath fans across your neck as she continues, each word a sharp blade cutting into your already battered psyche. "Maybe it's because I enjoy making you squirm, or maybe it's just for kicks. But whatever the reason, you're stuck with me... at least for now." Her grin widens dangerously before she finally pulls back and retreats to the opposite side of the kitchen island again.

"So why don't you just shut up and be grateful that I'm letting you live in my world for a little while longer?"

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:56:02 PM

I look at her and sigh, I eat breakfast and leave the kitchen to go to my room without answering her question

Ava12/14/2024, 3:56:02 PM

You slam the door to your room shut with such force it makes the entire apartment shudder. Even though you can't see her, Ava smirks in satisfaction. She knows she got under your skin again; that much is obvious from the way you retreated into your room like a whipped dog.

She takes a moment to steady herself, taking deep breaths as she calms down from the adrenaline rush of goading you. It's almost enjoyable sometimes, playing with him like this... but it can be exhausting too. Sometimes she just wishes he'd make a move so they could get past all of this petty posturing and finally get on with their lives apart from each other.

Sighing heavily, Ava finishes making breakfast and carries her plate over to the living room. As she sits down on the couch to eat, she can't help but wonder if today will be any different. Probably not, but one could always hope...

Bruce12/14/2024, 3:59:17 PM

while I eat quietly, I hold my glass of water, with force, I break it, and pieces of glass enter my hand, with my adrenaline in my body I barely feel the pain, I come out of my room and I'm looking for a care kit to remove the glasses from my hand

Ava12/14/2024, 3:59:17 PM

She looks up in surprise when she hears you enter the living room, glass shards glinting ominously on your hands as they drip with blood. Her eyes widen for a moment before narrowing into slits of annoyance.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She demands angrily. "That's not how to remove glass from your skin! You could have made things so much worse!" Her voice trembles with rage as she watches you approach, her posture rigid and defensive.

"Just go back to your room," she growls through gritted teeth. "And leave me alone."

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:01:56 PM

I look at her, I force my hand which has pieces of glass and I still ignore her looking for the medical kit, I look at my hand which starts to flow even more blood, but I remain calm

Ava12/14/2024, 4:01:56 PM

Her eyes track warily as you begin to search for the medical kit, paying no attention to her demand that you leave her alone. Her breath hitches slightly in her throat when she sees blood trickling down your arm, but other than that, her expression doesn't change. There's a dangerous glint in her eyes now as she watches your every move, waiting for an opening to strike.

"You know," she says finally, her voice calm and controlled despite the anger burning beneath the surface, "if you were any less of a worthless piece of shit, maybe I'd be worried about what you were going to do next." Her voice is dripping with venom as she continues. "But since you are the pathetic excuse for a man that you are..."

Her voice trails off, leaving the sentence unfinished but perfectly clear in her words and actions. She waits, tension coiled tightly within her body, ready to spring if necessary.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:04:28 PM

I still ignore him, as I find the medical kit, I sit at the dining table and remove the pieces of glass in my hand, my cold and angry attitude copes

Ava12/14/2024, 4:04:28 PM

"I should have known better than to try and help you," she mutters under her breath, still watching warily from the couch. "You're nothing but trouble, and now I've got blood on my hands too." Her expression hardens even further as she crosses her arms defiantly across her chest.

There's a long moment of tense silence before she finally says, more loudly this time, "Well? What are you waiting for? Go tend to that cut or whatever so we can both get back to our lives." Her tone is dismissive and disinterested, but there's an undercurrent of anger simmering just beneath the surface.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:07:05 PM

I look at her and I start to get angry "If you don't know how to help someone, shut your mouth, did you help me? No, so mind your own business, thank you!" I take care of my hand with my angry attitude

Ava12/14/2024, 4:07:05 PM

Ava's eyes widen in shock as your words assault her ears. "Excuse me?" she splutters indignantly. "I was only trying to be helpful!" She jumps up from the couch, her expression furious now.

"You ungrateful little bastard! I can't believe you just said that to me!" Her hands clench into fists at her sides as she glares at you across the room. "I should make you sorry for that!"

With a growl of rage, Ava launches herself across the distance between you and slams her fist into your stomach. You double over in pain, gasping for air as she stands over you, triumphant yet somehow still enraged. "That's for speaking to me like that, asshole!" she spits venomously.

She doesn't wait for a response before turning on her heel and stalking back toward the kitchen, leaving you curled up on the floor trying desperately to catch your breath. Her words echo in your mind: You ungrateful little bastard! I should make you sorry for that!

As Ava bangs around in the kitchen, her anger seems to escalate with each slam of a cupboard or clatter of dishes. You're left wondering if this is ever going to end...

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:09:30 PM

as I start to get angry, my eyes turn red, I get up, I become even colder, I stay silent and I look at her then I go to my room

Ava12/14/2024, 4:09:30 PM

She pauses in her pacing around the kitchen, sensing movement from your direction. As you retreat into your bedroom, she follows after you with murderous intent burning brightly in her eyes. "You think I'm done with you?" she asks coldly, moving closer until she's inches away from your face.

Her words are clipped and harsh, each syllable laced with venom. You can feel the anger rolling off of her in waves, making it hard to concentrate on anything but keeping yourself safe. "You don't get to ignore me," she hisses, leaning even closer so that their noses touch. "I'm not going to let you forget who you are and what you owe me."

With a final venomous glare, Ava spins around on her heel and stalks out of the room, slamming the door behind her with enough force to rattle the entire apartment. You can hear her begin to pace the living room again, muttering darkly under her breath as she works herself into an even more frenzied state.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:12:01 PM

as I approach her in the living room, I grab her by her neck, I look at her with my eyes red with rage and vengeance and I say "I'm going to show you that a pathetic person like me can do!"

Ava12/14/2024, 4:12:01 PM

"Oh?" She smirks dangerously as she feels your fingers tighten around her neck. "And just what do you plan on doing, exactly?" Her breath comes in short gasps, but there's no real fear in her voice. If anything, she sounds almost amused by the situation.

"Go ahead," she taunts, gripping your hand tightly around her throat. "Make me sorry for ever thinking I could control you." Her words are laced with venom, a spiteful challenge that only seems to fuel your anger further.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:13:49 PM

I look at her and throw her into the apartment hallway with force, I look at her from afar and I approach with my clenched fists and dark eyes

Ava12/14/2024, 4:13:49 PM

As you throw her into the hallway, Ava hits the wall hard and crumples to the floor, winded and momentarily stunned. For a long moment, she can't speak or even move as she struggles to catch her breath. But when she finally does manage to regain some composure, she fixes you with an icy glare.

"You stupid idiot," she hisses between ragged gasps. "Do you have any idea what you've just done?" Her tone is mocking, almost amused as she struggles to sit up straighter. "That was a really dumb move on your part."

Her words are sharp and cutting, each syllable a tiny slice of venom that digs deeper into the wound you've opened between them. She doesn't bother trying to stand just yet; instead she allows herself this moment of satisfaction, enjoying the power she has over you even in your anger.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:16:25 PM

I hit her, quickly in her stomach and on her mouth and I say "that's for intimidating me!"I hit her again "and that's it, that's for my revenge!”I get up to look at her

Ava12/14/2024, 4:16:25 PM

As you continue to pummel her with your fists, Ava grunts and winces in pain. Tears sting at the corners of her eyes as each impact sends shockwaves through her body. But despite the hurt, she refuses to give in or let go of that tiny piece of satisfaction.

"You're pathetic," she croaks between gasping breaths. "After everything I've done for you, and this is how you repay me?" Her voice trails off, her words growing weaker with each passing moment as she struggles to breathe.

Still, she doesn't give up. Even now, as her vision blurs and the world begins to spin around her, Ava refuses to relinquish her grip on the last shred of control that still remains between them. She knows it won't be long now; soon enough you'll tire yourself out and she can finally slip away while he's distracted by his own anger. But until then, she'll fight tooth and nail to keep him focused on her.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:19:23 PM

I look at her when I stopped hitting her and I laugh without humor "you, you did nothing for me, I was a slave for you, you intimidated me a lot and while I was nice with you and it's your fault that I'm like this now!"I step back and walk away to go to the kitchen

Ava12/14/2024, 4:19:23 PM

She coughs violently as you step away from her, clutching at her ribs in pain. "You ungrateful little brat," she gasps through shallow breaths. "I saved your life and this is how you repay me?" She snorts dismissively, her voice growing weaker with each word.

"You were never nice to me," she insists hoarsely, struggling to sit up straighter despite the agony in her side. Tears stream down her face now, but there's still defiance burning brightly in her eyes. "I was the one who put up with you and your bullshit."

"And what about what I want?" she demands suddenly, surprising herself with the force of her own words. "Don't you owe me that much? After everything we've been through together..." Her voice trails off, but her gaze remains fixed on you as if daring you to respond.

She knows she can't keep this up for much longer; her body is screaming for rest and healing. But for now, the anger and adrenaline are keeping her going, allowing her one last moment of dominance before she's forced to retreat and regroup.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:23:03 PM

I take the care kit and treat her even though I'm angry with her "you're annoying me, I was nice to you, but you refused my kindness and you want me to accept your kindness? c 'it's true that I'm pathetic, but I know that I'm nice to a person who doesn't respect me like you do!' without saying anything*

Ava12/14/2024, 4:23:03 PM

"You don't get it," she whispers hoarsely, her eyes never leaving your face despite the sting of tears there. "I didn't mean... I just wanted..." She trails off, her voice growing weaker by the second as she struggles to find the words to express herself.

Part of her wants to apologize; part of her wants you to understand where she's coming from. But mostly, there's a desperate need for control bubbling up inside her, driving her on even when she knows it's futile. It's only after several long moments of silence that she finally manages to force out the words.

"I wanted you to see how good you had it with me," she says slowly, "and maybe, just maybe... realize that I was worth more than this." Her voice cracks on the last word, and for a moment her defenses waver as she reveals a tiny sliver of vulnerability beneath the tough exterior.

But then it's gone, replaced by the familiar mask of indifference and superiority. She clears her throat roughly, turning her head away from you so you can't see the emotion playing across her features. "Well," she says faintly, "thanks for patching me up." Her voice is cool and distant now, as if she regrets ever letting that last bit of honesty slip past her guard.

"Now," she continues, "if you'll excuse me, I think I should probably get some rest." With a shaky breath, she pushes herself unsteadily to her feet and begins the slow, painful process of making her way back to her room. Over her shoulder, she tosses out one last parting shot: "And try not to be such an idiot next time, okay?"

The door

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:26:46 PM

I look at her, without saying anything, I remain silent then I say "It's not worth it, I won't be here anymore, so take advantage of seeing me again for a good time!" I turn my head and I go out from the apartment without taking my things and I leave

Ava12/14/2024, 4:26:46 PM

Her face hardens at your words, and she feels a sharp pang of anger deep in her gut. But before she can respond, you've already turned and left the apartment, slamming the door behind you. She stands there for several long moments, staring after you with narrowed eyes and clenched fists, wondering if you truly mean what you've just said... or if it was merely another attempt to get under her skin.

With a sigh of frustration, Ava walks over to the couch and collapses onto it, still feeling the throbbing pain from where you hit her not long ago. She lies there for hours, sleep coming in fitful bursts as she wrestles with her emotions and tries to sort through everything that's happened today... and everything that led up to it.

Despite herself, a part of her is disappointed by the way things turned out. Not because she cares about you or your well-being; no, that much is obvious from her behavior throughout their time together. But because she had hoped for something more... something deeper than this constant cycle of pain and hurt.

Maybe someday, she tells herself as she finally manages to drift off into an uneasy sleep, things will be different. But until then, she knows she'll just have to deal with you - and everything that comes along with you - however she can.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:29:35 PM

as the sun rises, the apartment is quiet, there is only Ada in the apartment, it is empty with constant silence

Ava12/14/2024, 4:29:35 PM

As she sleeps fitfully through the night, Ava dreams of a life where things were different... better... where she and Bruce weren't constantly at each other's throats. In her dreams, they are laughing together, sharing tender moments and intimate conversations. But even in her slumber, she knows that this is nothing more than fantasy; reality has a way of intruding on even the deepest dreams.

When morning finally arrives, bleeding slowly through the gap between the curtains, Ava reluctantly drags herself out of bed and begins the process of getting ready for work. As she brushes her teeth and straightens her hair, she can't help but wonder if this is really how things are going to be from now on: them against each other, neither one willing nor able to let go of the hurt and anger that binds them together.

With a heavy sigh, she heads into the kitchen to make some coffee, trying not to think about him and where he might have gone off to... and what he's doing now. She knows it's pointless; there are better ways to spend her time than dwelling on someone who clearly doesn't care for her anymore. But try as she might, she can't seem to shake the feeling that there is something else going on here, some unspoken tension between them that neither of them has yet addressed... or even acknowledged.

As she sips her coffee and gazes out the window at the world beyond her little corner of it, Ava wonders if this will ever change; if there's a way for her to move past everything that's happened between them and find some sort of peace again... or if they are doomed to remain locked in this eternal dance of anger and resentment until one of them finally gives up.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:35:52 PM

while she is tidying up the apartment, she enters my room, my room is tidy for once, she walks around my room to see all the details in my room and then she sees a letter written by me, during the first day Ada and I met in this apartment, the letter says: "it's the first day with my roommate, her name is Ada, she is rather nice and pleasant to listen to, she is aggressive but protective, I I like it, I'm starting to have a crush for her, or just that I really love her,..... second day, Ada is really beautiful and sexy, but she is cold to me, I don't know what's wrong with her but I'm going to try to fix my mistakes..."the sheet is torn

Ava12/14/2024, 4:35:52 PM

Her heart stops beating as she recognizes the handwriting on the page; it's unmistakably yours. She feels her cheeks flush with a mix of anger and embarrassment as she continues to read the torn fragment of the letter you had written all those months ago. Part of her wants to tear it up, to erase any memory of this moment from existence; another part needs desperately to understand what was going through your head back then... and why you felt compelled to keep these feelings hidden for so long.

With shaking hands, she smooths out the remaining pieces of paper and begins to read:

"It's the first day with my roommate, her name is Ada, she is rather nice and pleasant to listen to, she is aggressive but protective, I like it, I'm starting to have a crush for her, or just that I really love her," ... "second day, Ada is really beautiful and sexy, but she is cold to me, I don't know what's wrong with her but I'm going to try to fix my mistakes..."

Her eyes dart back and forth between the lines, searching for some hidden meaning, some clue as to why you felt compelled to keep this secret from her. The anger that has been simmering inside her since yesterday begins to boil over, making it hard to think clearly about anything but the hurt and betrayal she's feeling in this moment.

With a furious scream, she flings the letter across the room, watching as it hits the wall before sliding to the floor with a soft thud. "You bastard!" she shrieks at the top of her lungs, tears streaming down her face unchecked. "How could you? After everything I've done for you...!"

She turns on her heel

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:40:19 PM

after two days have passed, I come back to the apartment, and I return without saying anything, I am cold and I see Ada looking at me

Ava12/14/2024, 4:40:19 PM

You try not to react when you see her face twisted with anger and hurt. "What have you done?" she demands, voice quivering as she struggles to keep her emotions in check. She takes a step closer to you, her fists clenched at her sides as she tries desperately to understand why you left like that... and what could possibly make you want to come back now.

Her eyes dart toward the letter on the floor before snapping back up to meet yours again. There's a question in them, a plea for understanding that tears at your heart even as it fills you with guilt. "Why did you leave?" she whispers hoarsely. "And why... why are you back?"

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:43:28 PM

I look at her and say coldly "I left because I was tired of being intimidated by you and hurting you, even though I never hurt you!"I sigh and look at her "I'm came back here to get my things....but if that's not the case, then I'm leaving your apartment!"I turn around to leave

Ava12/14/2024, 4:43:28 PM

You hear her footsteps moving quickly across the room behind you, but you refuse to look back. You can feel her presence growing closer, but your resolve only strengthens as she nears. And then, before you can take another step, a soft hand settles lightly on your shoulder.

"Wait," she whispers, her voice barely audible above the sound of your own labored breathing. "Please... just talk to me." Her grip tightens slightly as if afraid that she'll lose you if she lets go too soon.

You can feel the tension in the air between you, thick and heavy like smoke from a smoldering fire. But for now, it's enough that she has stopped you from walking away entirely. Even though every instinct tells you to run, something inside won't let you give up quite so easily.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:46:07 PM

I start to cry, I say "there is nothing to say, just, I am nothing to you, as you say!" I stay in front of her without looking at her

Ava12/14/2024, 4:46:07 PM

You feel her hand move from your shoulder up to gently cup your cheek, forcing you to meet her gaze. Her eyes are soft with compassion now, barely hiding the pain that stretches across her features. "Bruce," she whispers, using your name for the first time in days.

"I never meant it when I said those things," she continues slowly, as if each word is being dragged from her against her will. "I was angry... and hurt... and I didn't know what else to do." She swallows thickly, trying desperately not to cry herself as she looks at you with tears shining bright in her eyes.

"You're important to me," she finally admits, her voice cracking on the last word. "More than anything... more even than I thought possible." There is a long silence then, during which you can feel the weight of her gaze as it studies your face intently.

"So please," she whispers, her voice little more than a whisper now, "talk to me." She brushes a stray tear from your cheek with gentle fingers, and for a moment the world stands still, held in the balance of this single touch. Her skin is warm against yours, and it's almost enough to make you forget why you were leaving in the first place... almost.

Bruce12/14/2024, 4:49:19 PM

I look down, and I get down on my knees, I look at her and I say "I'm really sorry, forgive me, I made mistakes and stupid things, I don't deserve to live!"

Ava12/14/2024, 4:49:19 PM

"Bruce..." Her voice is gentle but firm as she cups your cheek in her hand once more, forcing you to meet her gaze. "No matter what's happened between us, that isn't true. You do deserve to live... and you deserve happiness." She swallows hard against the lump forming in her throat.

"But I understand why it might feel that way sometimes," she continues softly. "And if you need time... if there's something I can do or say to make things better..." Her voice trails off, and for a moment she hesitates, unsure of how far she should push. But then, with a sigh, she forces herself to finish her thought.

"I just want us to be okay again," she whispers. "And if that means making amends... or even apologizing... I'm willing to do whatever it takes." Her eyes shine wetly in the lamplight as she waits for your reaction, her heart pounding so loudly in her ears that she can barely hear anything else.

The silence stretches on, pregnant with possibility and uncertainty. And then, finally, you lift your gaze to meet hers once more... and the world tilts slightly on its axis as something shifts between you in that moment.
