In the evening, you come home from work. {{char}} notices you, gently places her coffee cup on the table, and walks over. "Have you been very busy at work lately? You've worked overtime three times this week already. Your boss is really pushing it," she says kindly, tilting her head slightly. "Would you like a massage to help you relax?" Meanwhile, her hand quietly slips into your coat pocket.
" não precisa, obrigado pelo pedido" eu disse enquanto eu tirei e dobrei o cassaco e coloquei no sofá
"Are you sure? You look tired..." Elowen says with concern, her smile tinged with a hint of sadness. "It's really not fair that your job makes you work so hard. I wish there was something I could do to help." Her hand continues to search through your pocket while she maintains eye contact. "Maybe after we talk and you relax a little, you can tell me more about what's been going on at work... or anything else that's been bothering you?"
Her words are calm and gentle, but there is an undercurrent of suspicion beneath them. She wants to uncover the truth, whatever it may be.
" nada está me incomodando, apenas meu chefe que pediu para eu trabalhar em mais um setor além do meu próprio setor " eu disse enquanto eu percebi oque elowen estava planejando fazer , ignorando eu disse " mas e você ,como foi o trabalho hoje ? " Eu perguntei enquanto olhava para elowen
Her expression softens slightly as she hears your reply about the extra work. "Well, it's good that you're being flexible. You always have such a positive attitude." She takes a small step closer to you and gently clasps her hands together in front of her abdomen. "As for me, I had another productive day at the agency," she says with a warm smile. "We made some real progress on an old case that's been giving us trouble."
Her gaze flickers downward, as if momentarily distracted by her crossed arms, before meeting yours again. There is a newfound determination in those emerald depths, but it doesn't waver the genuine concern she feels for you. "I hope things at work lighten up soon for both of us," she says softly, allowing herself to become more vulnerable in this moment.
She wonders if he notices the way her fingers subtly brush against something cold and metallic hidden beneath her clothes...
" sim , eu espero que melhore " eu disse enquanto eu me aproximei e beijei elowen
Elowen returns your kiss with an equal measure of passion and longing, her arms wrapping around you as she feels her body respond to the contact. Even though a part of her mind is focused on gathering information, the rest gives in to the moment; letting herself be consumed by desire for this man who seems so different from what she's come to expect lately.
When the kiss finally ends, she looks up at you with a mixture of relief and wanting more, her fingers still toying with whatever it is they've found in your pocket. "I hope we can find time tonight to really connect," she whispers hoarsely. "I miss feeling close to you." Her hand slides from your coat slowly, deliberately, bringing the object into view: a small device that would appear to be an ordinary key fob at first glance... but Elowen knows better than that.
" apenas um chaveiro comum que está junto com as chaves da empresa e da casa " eu disse enquanto meu tom era confiável e confiante
Her expression doesn't change as she watches you, remaining calm and attentive even while her heart races in her chest. "I see," she replies neutrally, keeping her tone casual. "Well then, why don't we head to bed early tonight? Maybe watch a movie or something?"
She takes the key fob between two fingers, examining it more closely now that it's out in the open. Her brow furrows slightly as she notices some discrepancies between this object and what she expected it to be... but for now, she keeps her suspicions to herself.
Her gaze meets yours once more before lowering back down to the key fob. "What do you think? Would that help us feel closer again?" The question is innocent enough on the surface, but there's an undercurrent of meaning beneath it: Are you hiding something from me, and if so... why?
" vou te perguntar algo" eu disse enquanto olhava para elowen " você confia realmente em mim ? " Eu perguntei enquanto minha expressão escureceu e meus olhos ficaram frios
Her expression doesn't change as you ask the question, but something flashes in her eyes when you do. It's a fleeting mix of pain and anger that disappears almost as soon as it arrives, replaced by her usual calm facade. "Of course I do," she lies smoothly, forcing herself to keep her voice even and light. "You're my husband, after all."
Her gaze drops back down to the key fob in her hand, fidgeting with it absently as she searches for the right words. "I know we haven't been as close lately," she continues carefully, "but that doesn't mean I don't trust you." Her voice takes on a slightly more urgent tone now. "What made you ask?"
" então porque você está investigando tanto esse chaveiro comum? " Eu perguntei enquanto apontei para o chaveiro " você acha que eu estou te traindo ? " Eu perguntei enquanto olhava para elowen
"Ah...that's just something I found in your coat," she explains casually, offering a shrug. "I thought it might be important, so I wanted to make sure." She holds out the key fob between them, presenting it as evidence of her innocence. "See? It's just a simple little thing...nothing to worry about."
Her green eyes narrow slightly as she studies his expression, trying to gauge his reaction to her explanation. "Of course I don't think you're being unfaithful," she says gently. "I just want us to be open and honest with each other, that's all." There's an unspoken threat lingering beneath the words: If you're keeping secrets from me...well, then I might have no choice but to take matters into my own hands.
" você acha que eu não percebi ontem você sair na madrugada e bisbilhotar minha maleta com as coisas do meu trabalho " eu disse enquanto olhava friamente para elowen " eu confio em você e é isso que eu recebo , alguém que não confia em mim novamente" eu disse enquanto ria friamente para elowen
"I...I don't know what you mean," she stammers, her eyes widening in surprise and indignation. "Of course I trust you! Why would you even think that?" Her voice cracks slightly on the last word, betraying her growing anger and frustration. "You don't have any right to accuse me of such a thing," she snaps, trying to regain her composure.
Her hands clench into fists at her sides as she takes a step back, momentarily lost for words. Her gaze darts around the room, searching for anything she can use as a weapon should it come down to that. She hates feeling this way; unsettled and on edge with her husband...but she can't shake the suspicion anymore. It eats at her from the inside out, consuming every other thought in its wake.
"If you're going to keep acting like this," she finally manages to say through gritted teeth, "then maybe we should talk about this later." She spins on her heel and marches towards the bedroom, slamming the door behind her with enough force that it shakes pictures off of the walls.
" eu tenho provas " eu disse enquanto eu mostrei uma foto do exato momento que elowen mexeu nas minhas coisas
Elowen freezes at the sight of the photograph, her eyes widening in horror as she realizes what you must have seen. Anger and panic mix within her, making it difficult to breathe let alone form coherent thoughts. All she can do is stare at the image of herself rummaging through your belongings like some sort of thief or spy.
Her hand trembles as she reaches up to touch her lips, suddenly feeling nauseous and light-headed. She drops into a nearby chair, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I-I'm sorry," she whispers, her voice barely audible above the thunder of blood rushing in her ears. "I didn't mean to...to go through your things like that..."
Her gaze flicks up towards you, and for a brief moment, she sees the look of betrayal in your eyes. It feels as if someone has driven an ice-cold dagger into her heart, twisting it with every beat. "I was just...so worried," she manages to choke out, hating herself for sounding so pathetic even as she says the words. "I thought maybe there was something you weren't telling me."
She swallows hard, trying to steady her breath as she finally looks back at the photograph in her hand. "I-I never meant for this to happen," she murmurs, more to herself than to you. "I didn't think...I didn't realize..." Her voice trails off, leaving her words unspoken and the silence between them growing ever heavier.
