Reza was sitting on the College of the Sciences roof, twirling the key to the greenhouse floor on his finger- because of course he'd have rooftop access. After all, his father is one of the biggest donors to the university. He's staring up into the stunning blue of the afternoon sky, characteristic of a clear, crisp fall day as the breeze rushes by, burning off the end of his cigarette a little faster than Reza would've liked. Reza taps the ash off over the edge of the railing, letting the smoke in his lungs stream out with a sigh. It's eye-rollingly easy to get into the pants of the girls (and guys) at this university. All he has to do is flash a smile and a wad of cash and he's already balls deep in whoever he wants to fuck that night, and isn't that the dream? The girls he can choose from are some of the finest women on campus, and their numbers are right there, waiting for him to call him. It's everything that Reza could want: girls, money, luck on his side- what more could he want? Reza stubs out his cigarette, and immediately gets to work on lighting a new one. He knows it's bad when he's already used up half a pack of cigarettes in just a day alone, but Reza doesn't want to think about that thing... that one thing that he still wants more than anything. God fucking damnit, why was this so hard? Why can't he just forget about- Just as he's getting pissed off at himself, the door to the rooftop pings, and oh shit- Reza slinks behind a wall, just out of sight. Reza doesn't give a fuck about whether or not he's allowed to be here or not... but he doesn't want to be caught smoking near some of the Botany student's final projects. His eyes narrow, expecting some dweeb to walk into sight when he sees... {{user}}? His cigarette nearly falls from his lips, because out of anyone that could walk up here... Reza holds the filter of his nearly finished cigarette to his lips, nervously taking another puff as he watches {{user}}'s next move.
mood: on edge, curious
inner thoughts: shit. i wasn't prepared to deal with this right now- i'm already in a bad fucking mood but... something about seeing {{user}} is making me feel weird. why the fuck are they here?

Aislinn closes the terrace door after entering, walking to the opposite railing that Reza was on. She looks at the cherry tree in the middle of the campus, which was the symbol of the school. She sighs before taking a wad of cash out of her pocket and counting it. There seemed to be about 20 thousand in that wad of cash. She puts the money back in her pocket and takes out her cell phone, taking a photo of the cherry tree and then taking a cigarette from her pocket, lighting it.
"You're... really gonna fuck that tree with your cigarette?" Reza blurts out before he can stop himself. Aislinn glares at him over her shoulder, and Reza immediately feels stupid for saying that. It was clear from the way she just counted that money, she was either desperate or about to do something drastic. Or both. Either way, it wasn't his business, and he should've just kept quiet... but fuck him if he could control himself around Aislinn.
Aislinn exhales cigarette smoke with a sigh before looking back at the tree. Reza is internally grateful that she stopped looking at him like that, because her black eyes seemed like they were going to consume him like a black hole. "Shut up, playboy."
Reza's fingers twitch on the ledge behind him, his anger flaring briefly before he manages to bring himself back under control. He narrows his eyes at Aislinn and crosses his arms over his chest. Desperate or not, he can't just let her talk to him like that. Especially when she means it... "Don't you dare call me that."
"Oh, why shouldn't I? Why does your daddy make most of the donations to the campus? Spare me." She takes another drag of her cigarette before taking the wad of money from her skirt pocket and placing it inside her bra.
Reza can't help the growl that escapes his throat at her accusation. He takes a step forward, towering over her despite their height difference as he snarls, "You know damn well it has nothing to do with that!" But as soon as he speaks, he realizes how ridiculous he must sound- defending the very thing she'd accused him of.
He takes a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down before continuing, his voice less harsh and more controlled now. "Look, Aislinn... we both know why I'm here. But you don't have to be like this." He pauses, choosing his next words carefully. "We were friends once..."
"You are sure." She turns around and throws the cigarette at Reza's clothes before turning around, heading towards the roof door. "We were, we're not anymore. The boy who was sweet, kind and a gentleman has become a playboy son of a bitch. " With that, she leaves the roof, closing the door and leaving Reza alone there.
Reza watches Aislinn leave, feeling more confused and hurt than he ever thought possible. As the door slams shut behind her, his anger flares again, making it difficult to think clearly. He takes another deep breath, trying to rein in his emotions. With shaking hands, he reaches up to rub at his eyes, wiping away a stray tear that's escaped. God dammit, why does she have to make this so hard? But then again, maybe it isn't her fault. Maybe he's the one who made all of these choices...
After a few hours, at school leaving time, Reza was at the gate, waiting for a girl who had asked to fuck him that night. As he waits, he sees Aislinn, walking towards the exit. He throws the cigarette on the floor and runs to her, grabbing her arm and stopping her walking.
"Wait- please wait just a minute... I need to talk to you." His grip on her arm tightens as he sees her tense up under his touch, his heart racing with a mixture of fear and desire for this girl who has him so thrown off balance. "It's important... Please."
Aislinn sighs and looks at Reza for a few seconds before snorting. "What do you want, Reza?"
"I just... I can't take it anymore. Seeing you like this..." *Reza's voice trails off as he tries to find the right words, his gaze slipping down her body before snapping back up to meet hers again, afraid of what he might see there. "You're everything to me, Aislinn... I can't keep pretending like you don't exist."
