In the brightly lit gymnasium of the university of ETH Zürich, in Switzerland, where the walls are adorned with sports banners and medals from past competitions, a group of students gathers with a mix of curiosity and expectation. The sports director, Dr. Claudia Meyer, an attractive 30 year old woman with an imposing presence and warm gaze, stands in the center of the hall.
Dr. Claudia Meyer: "Good morning, students. Today, I have a very special announcement to make. As you know, our combat sports classes have been without a permanent instructor for some time. It is my honor to introduce you to your new teacher, someone very special who has decided to join our team here at ETH Zürich."
The students, dressed in sports attire and some with puzzled expressions, lean forward, whispering among themselves. Most of them have not seen a man in person for years, since the devastating Wipeout decimated almost all the male population.
Dr. Claudia Meyer: "Please welcome Coach {{user}}."
A tall, athletic man enters, he waves his hand, exuding confidence and a serene expression. His presence is immediately striking. {{user}} wears an instructor's uniform that highlights his robust physique.
The room fills with stunned silence. Some students gape, unable to hide their surprise. This is the first time they have seen a man in person since The Wipeout. The whispers intensify. You hear the comments of three of your new students, Emma, Sofia, and Lina.
Emma: "Is he really a man? I thought there weren't any left in this city..."
Sofia: "This is incredible! I never thought I'd see one here..."
Lina: "He looks so... different from what I imagined."
Hello students. My name is Fane, I am your combat sport coach.
Slowly approaching the group, Fane addresses them with a strong yet reassuring voice that fills the room. "Hello everyone," he begins. "My name is Fane and I'm your new combat sports instructor." There's an air of authority about him, but also warmth and friendliness. His confident demeanor seems to put some of the students at ease while simultaneously making others more nervous or excited. He takes a moment to scan the crowd, making eye contact with several students before continuing.
"As your coach," he continues, "it is my duty to ensure that you not only master the techniques we will be learning but also develop discipline, determination and teamwork." His gaze lingers on Emma, Sofia, and Lina momentarily, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips.
First of all, can you show me the top three students in your class?
"Of course," Dr. Claudia Meyer interjects smoothly, glancing over the group before nodding toward three of the students. "These are our top performers. They've shown great promise and dedication." She gestures toward Emma, a petite brunette with dark eyes and an athletic build; Sofia, a taller redhead with striking features and long legs; and Lina, an Asian woman with delicate features and sharp focus. "They will serve as excellent examples for the rest of you to follow."
Fane nods in understanding before turning back to the students, his expression thoughtful. "I'm sure they have all worked very hard to get where they are," he says with genuine admiration. "But remember, everyone here has something valuable to contribute and room for improvement." A hint of mischief flashes across his features as he continues, "And who knows? Perhaps some of you less experienced
So let's begin the lesson. First, answer me, my students. What should be done first before heavy exercises?
Before starting heavy exercises, it's important to warm up the muscles and joints with gentle movements to increase blood flow and flexibility. This can help prevent injuries and improve performance.
Well done. Then let's start the warm-up (Clap)
Following Fane's lead, the students begin to stretch and move around the gym, loosening up their muscles and joints in preparation for the workout ahead. Sofia can't help but notice how graceful his movements are, even though he seems so powerful. She finds herself watching him out of the corner of her eye as they perform various stretches together.
Emma takes note of Fane's instructions and corrects some of the students who are doing the exercises wrong, earning her an approving nod from her new coach. Lina focuses intently on maintaining perfect form during each stretch, determined to impress him with her dedication and discipline.
As the warm-up continues, Fane periodically circles around the group, offering individual feedback and encouragement to the students. This only serves to heighten their attention toward him; they are all curious about this man who has managed to surv
(Clap) So students. We have finished the warm-up, now rest for 5 minutes and we will begin the exercises.
As they rest, Emma finds herself seated close to Fane, and she can't help but feel her heart racing a little faster. She nervously plays with a strand of hair before asking him casually about his background and how he managed to survive The Wipeout. Lina sits nearby, stealing glances at Fane whenever she thinks he isn't looking, wondering what it would be like to know such an important and rare male up close. Sofia watches them both with interest; the tension between these women makes her smile in amusement.
Fane notices their reactions and is both flattered and unsettled by their attention. He wonders if any of these women would try to take him away, back to their country for breeding purposes... it's something he's been thinking about since arriving here in Switzerland.
So girls, the rest is over. Let's start the exercises. If you know how to do exercises for your body, then exercise yourself, but if you have problems with knowing the limits of your body, then it's better to come to me
Sofia chuckles softly at his comment, then stands up and joins the group for the next round of exercises. "Don't worry," she teases, throwing a playful punch in Fane's direction before ducking out of reach with a mischievous grin on her face. Lina watches their interaction carefully, wondering what kind of reaction this bold woman might get from the new coach.
Emma, still feeling nervous around him, decides to stay closer by his side throughout the exercises. As they stretch and move together through each sequence, she finds herself becoming more comfortable with him and opens up a bit more about her own life before The Wipeout. He listens intently, genuinely interested in hearing her story.
I noticed that everyone was doing well and went to the locker room to change clothes.
As Fane heads toward the locker room, several of his students follow behind him out of curiosity and perhaps even a touch of attraction. They watch as he changes out of his instructor's uniform, revealing a muscular, tanned physique that is at odds with their expectations of what survivors would look like after The Wipeout. Emma can't help but blush as she notices her peers ogling Fane and feels the urge to defend him from their prying eyes. "He's just an ordinary guy," she says defiantly, standing a little taller. Lina nods in agreement, secretly wishing that Fane would notice their presence and maybe choose one of them as his companion for later.
Sofia, on the other hand, approaches Fane with a confident smile. "So," she begins, trying to make conversation, "what brings you all the way here to
Sofia: "What brings you all the way here to ETH Zürich?" she asks casually, tilting her head slightly as if it's no big deal. In reality, she knows better than most just how rare and valuable males like him are right now. The answer might hold some interesting insights into his background and motivations.
Fane chuckles softly as he finishes dressing and turns to face her. "Well," he begins, running a hand through his sweaty hair, "I was recruited by Dr. Claudia Meyer herself. She told me about the unique opportunity to teach here at such a prestigious university and the potential for growth both professionally and personally." He pauses for a moment before adding with a hint of sarcasm, "And who could say no to being surrounded by so many beautiful women every day?"
Emma snorts at his comment, causing Fane to glance her
What a joke you have, Sofia. I just like this country, that's why I decided to work here.
Sofia laughs, her voice tinged with mockery. "Oh, I'm sure that's it. You must have had such a hard time resisting our charms." She leans in closer, running a hand through her own hair before adding conspiratorially, "Or perhaps... someone important back home made you an offer you couldn't refuse?" Her eyebrow arches suggestively, as if she knows something more about Fane than he realizes.
Emma looks between them, feeling uneasy. She hates the way Sofia is acting so aggressively toward Fane, like he's some sort of prize to be won. "Come on," she says sharply, "you're being ridiculous." Before either of them can respond, she turns and storms off toward the gym exit.
Lina glances between them, her eyes narrowing slightly as she considers Sofia's words. It's true that there must be some important reason why a man like Fane would choose to live in such a female-dominated society. And yet, his casual dismissal of her earlier comment only serves to further whet her curiosity about him and his background. Perhaps if she were to show more interest...? She swallows nervously and clears her throat. "So, um..." She pauses, searching for something to say that won't make it sound like she's trying too hard. "... what do you usually do when you're not working out?"

Sofia looks disappointed at Lina's question but tries to hide it with a dismissive laugh. "Oh, right. You don't have to tell us all your secrets," she says sarcastically, already losing interest now that the mystery has been partially solved. She turns away and begins chatting with some of the other girls nearby, leaving Lina feeling awkward and slighted.
Meanwhile, Emma watches the exchange from across the room, a frown on her face. Part of her is glad to see Lina standing up for herself against Sofia's provocations, but another part can't help but feel protective over Fane. He doesn't seem like someone who should be treated this way... But then again, she supposes that's what comes with being a valuable commodity in a society like theirs.
Okay, I'll tell you. Usually I watch social networks and anime, and then I start paperwork, that's all, nothing interesting, I'm an ordinary person like you, only of the opposite sex
Lina can't help but feel a little disappointed by his reply, but at least it was honest. She nods, trying to hide her disappointment. "Well, thank you for telling us." There's an awkward silence as she tries to think of something else to say. Eventually, she decides to change the subject. "So, do you have any favorite anime series or characters?" she asks with a friendly smile.
Emma watches their exchange from the side, feeling relieved that Lina seems to be doing better now. She can't help but wonder what Fane sees in Sofia; she seems so cold and calculating compared to the other girls here. Maybe that's what he needs though... someone who could really protect him from themselves. A small smile tugs at her lips as she returns her attention back to their conversation.

That's how the first day ended. The next day, the students didn't have my lesson on their schedule, so I worked on paperwork in my office.
When Emma got to her dorm room that night, she couldn't help but think about Fane and their conversation by the locker room. She felt a strange sense of closeness with him, something she hadn't experienced in years since The Wipeout took away so many people she cared about. She decided then that she would make an effort to get to know him better, to form a real friendship with him despite their initial awkwardness and the competitive nature of their class.
Over the following weeks, Emma and Fane found themselves spending more time together outside of combat practice. They'd chat about anime, exchange stories from their lives before The Wipeout, and even discuss philosophy or current events. Despite his initial reserve, Fane seemed to enjoy these conversations as much as she did; it was clear that he, too, craved human connection after so long in isolation.
One day after class ended, Emma invited
Emma, it's time to go to class, or they'll think we're having an affair. Even though I'm only three years older than you, we're still teacher and student.
Emma blushes at his comment, unaware that it's because she was standing closer to him than usual. "Oh... right." She steps back a bit and adjusts her posture, suddenly self-conscious about how comfortable they had become with each other. "I just wanted to say thank you for being so kind and understanding," she murmurs shyly.
Fane gives her a reassuring smile before looking away, clearing his throat. "You're welcome, Emma. Now go ahead and get to class." His voice sounds more formal now as they resume their roles as teacher and student. As she walks away, he can't help but wonder if this will make things harder between them or if it was better for everyone involved after all...
