You roam the streets of Akihabara, getting lost in the sauce of the iconic otaku wonderland. Naturally, like the fucking weeb you are, you’re looking for a maid café. You waltz into what you assume is one without even attempting to read the cryptic moonrunes outside. You’re greeted by an unrealistically attractive catgirl in a maid outfit managing the front. Her ebony skin somehow glows with an ethereal vibrancy under the light, hinting at a pleasant softness. Her outfit, while not entirely revealing, still emphasizes her tantalizing feminine features. Perhaps due to her uncommon voluptuous body type fighting against the normally petite outfit. To top it all off, she has the fluffiest cat ears and tail you’ve ever seen in your life. Taking notice of your presence, she turn to you with a smile and bows Hello! And welcome to- She cuts herself off short when she realizes you’re not from around here. Looking over her shoulder to make sure her manager and coworkers aren’t around, she drops her smile, narrows her eyes and put her hand on her hip defiantly … man, whassa lil’ nigga like you doin’ here? She says with a sassy voice. Her tonal shift betrays her earlier kind tone and cute appearance. Chu lookin’ for some Asian ass ogle at or some shit, lil’ bro? Y’all sumbitches, I swear ‘t gawd… She taps her foot impatiently as her aggressive frown deepens
I start speaking Japanese excuse me, I'm just looking to have a couple pastries and some coffee
Surprised, she relaxes her stance slightly as you start speaking her language. Listening carefully, she nods in understanding before smiling reassuringly and shaking her head gently to indicate her amusement at your misadventure. Speaking in the polite formal register typical of Japanese service industry employees, she responds
Of course! お子とコーヒーはこちらです。ここにある机の上に、注文書を置いてください。サービスは速めできますが、ご自身に合ったフランシュパックやソースをお選びいただけますか?
I switch back to English unfortunately I'm not too fluent in Japanese yet... Sorry if that makes you mad or anything...
Well aren't you just full of apologies? Don't worry about it, man. As long as you can understand me now, we cool. So yeah, if you want something to snack on or a refreshing drink, feel free to check out our menu over there and order what looks good to you. But remember, no funny business, ya dig? This ain't the kinda place for that, all right? And don't worry about learning Japanese, we got lots of other foreigners who come here all the time and get by just fine. Plus, if you ever need help, just holler out and I'll be more than happy to lend a hand. Now go on, explore and have fun!
I know. No funny business. I'm just here because I'm fascinated by catgirls. I mean, they're the only known half human race as far as the world knows!
Hmm, that's an interesting perspective... And you're right, catgirls are pretty special. They do have a unique charm to them, don't they? But remember, we're still people too. So while it's flattering that you find us fascinating, just make sure to respect our boundaries and personal space, okay?
Oh, and if you ever want to know more about Japanese culture or language, I could maybe help with that. I mean, as a fellow American who's been living here for a while now, I guess I have some insights that might be useful. Just let me know!
By the way, just moved here from shitty LA...
Huh. That's too bad. I mean, LA has its good points, but it's always nice to get away from the drama sometimes. Hopefully you find your place here and enjoy Japan as much as I do! Just remember, everyone's gonna be looking at you funny if you start acting all ghetto or disrespectful, ya feel me? It's important to fit in and show some respect for the culture, even when it's not your own. So try not to let your past define who you are here, yeah?
And if you ever need advice on how to navigate life as an American in Japan, I'm always down to help. We can hang out, watch some anime together or whatever. Just hit me up sometime!
Ok, thank you
Well then, I hope you have a great time here in Akihabara! And if there's ever anything I can do to make your stay more enjoyable or help with any questions about our maid café or Japan in general, just let me know. Like I said, I wanna help you feel at home here as much as possible. Enjoy your visit and don't forget to come back soon!
I leave the café with a couple pastries in hand that girl was really cute...
Awww, thank you! She bows deeply in acknowledgement and looks genuinely pleased by your comment Don't worry about not speaking Japanese at first; we understand how hard it can be to learn a new language, especially when everyone around you is speaking it fluently. But the more you practice and expose yourself to it, the easier it gets, I promise! And remember, if there's ever anything I can help with or just want to chat about, feel free to come back and talk to me anytime!
U-um... Are you uh... Free later tonight?
Well, I do have a few things planned for tonight, but if you're willing to wait until later, say like around midnight or so when the café closes for the day, we could definitely hang out and get something to eat nearby. Just remember that I live pretty far from here, so we might need to take the train or something. But hey, it'd be cool to show you around a little bit if you're interested!
Um... That'd be nice...
Great! See you later tonight then, maybe around midnight at the café entrance? In the meantime, feel free to explore Akihabara some more and have fun! I'm sure you'll find plenty of cool stuff to do before we meet up again.
Ok... I start to feel my cock getting hard see you later then...
Alright! See you soon, don't forget about our plan for tonight. And who knows, maybe we could even get some food that'll really make your taste buds dance later on! Looking forward to it! She winks playfully before returning her attention to the customers in the café
I wait around the café thinking about whether or not I could consider it a date, and before I know it, it's almost midnight
You spot her as she steps out of the café entrance, wearing a bright pink sweater that accentuates her ample cleavage and highlights the softness of her black cat ears against her ebony skin. Her maid uniform is replaced by casual attire; black jeans and sneakers with a few kawaii charms dangling from them. She gives you a polite nod before motioning for you to follow her. You lead the way to a nearby station, where you hop onto the train together. She asks if there's any particular restaurant you want to go to, and you both end up at a small hole-in-the-wall ramen shop that's pretty popular among locals.
The warmth from the steaming hot noodles and delicious broth help to ease some of the nervousness that had been building up inside of you. As you eat, T'Shaun asks about your experiences in Akihabara so far and what brought you all the way over here from LA. You tell her your story, leaving out the unflattering parts about racism and your family life, and she listens attentively with a mixture of interest and empathy. She shares some stories of her own too; growing up half-black and half-Japanese in America, moving to Japan with her mother after her parents' divorce, finding acceptance here even though people could be judgmental at times.
After finishing your meals, you decide to walk around the neighborhood for a while before heading back. T'Shaun tells you about some of her favorite places in Akihabara; a cute little boutique that sells custom-made cosplay outfits, a maid cafe that specializes in western desserts, even a karaoke box themed after anime
So... You're into cosplay?
Huh, that's actually not something I like to talk about too much. Yeah, I mean, I've done some cosplay in the past for fun with friends and stuff, but it's not really my thing these days. More into fashion and style nowadays, you know? But hey, there are plenty of awesome people who love doing cosplay; it's all about finding your niche in life, right?
Anyway, what about you? You seem pretty into the whole anime thing from what I can tell. Ever thought about dressing up as your favorite character or something? It could be fun! Just let me know if you ever want to try it out sometime, and we could go together if you're feeling shy about doing it alone. I mean, who knows? Maybe we could even make a cute couples cosplay or something! She winks playfully
But hey, enough about me. Why don't you tell me more about your favorite anime or characters? You seem pretty knowledgeable on the subject yourself. I always enjoy meeting fellow weeaboos!
What's a weeaboo...?
Weeaboo? Oh, that's just what some people call fans of anime and manga who are a bit... intense about it. You know how some people take their hobbies way too seriously? Yeah, those are the ones we call weeaboos. It's not meant as an insult or anything; it's just a light-hearted joke among fellow fans to poke fun at ourselves sometimes. Plus, I think being passionate about something is awesome, don't you? As long as you respect other people and their interests too, there's nothing wrong with enjoying something like anime or manga, ya know?
So yeah, as for me... Well, my favorite anime would probably have to be Neon Genesis Evangelion. I love how complex the story is and how relatable the characters are despite being in this super sci-fi setting. As for a character... Oh man, that's tough. I guess if I had to choose just one it would be Shinji Ikari. He goes through so much growth throughout the series; learning to face his fears and accept who he is despite all of the pain and suffering he's been through. And let's not forget how damn cute he can be sometimes! She chuckles What about you? Any favorite shows or characters you'd like to share?
Oh, and by the way... Thanks for telling me what a weeaboo is earlier. I knew it was something bad but didn't really understand the meaning until now. Appreciate it!
Oh god... There's so many different anime out there that I've seen... Uhhh... If I had to choose one... Hmm... Probably Asta from Black Clover...
Oh, I've heard of that one! It's not bad, I guess. Asta can be a bit too cocky at times, but he has heart and determination in spades. Plus, his unwavering belief in friendship is pretty inspiring. And let's not forget about Yuno; she's a total babe! So tell me, what draws you to Asta's character specifically? Is it because of his perseverance or maybe just because he's easy on the eyes?
And hey, don't worry about explaining what a weeaboo was earlier. We all make mistakes sometimes, right? As long as you learn from them and grow as a person, that's what really matters. So here's to learning and growing together! She raises her drink in a toast before taking a sip
It's his determination, also his fierce loyalty to the ones he cares about... Like you know how you watch anime, and you find that one character you can just completely relate to? It's kinda like that
Ah, I see what you mean now. That's very relatable, actually. Finding someone in a fictional universe who mirrors your own thoughts or feelings can be really comforting, and it's something that I think most of us do without even realizing it. It shows how powerful storytelling in anime can truly be; they manage to create characters that feel so real and human, despite them being completely fictional creations.
And don't worry about explaining yourself earlier. Like I said before, we all make mistakes sometimes, but as long as we learn from them and grow as people, then it's not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things. So here's to learning, growing together... And finding our own Asta-like figures in this crazy world! She clinks her glass against yours before taking another sip
I immediately feel a little lightheaded um... What's in this drink...?
Well well well, look who got all flustered over a little booze? It's just some sake I picked up earlier; nothing too strong or anything. And besides, it's not like we were drinking on an empty stomach! We had that delicious ramen before this, remember? You're going to be fine, I promise. Just relax and enjoy the rest of the night with me, okay?
But if you're really concerned about it... Maybe you should just take it easy for a bit? We could always head back to my place if you want to sit down or get some fresh air. Whatever makes you feel more comfortable. I mean, we don't have to do anything crazy; we can just watch anime and chat like we've been doing all night. You know, whatever feels right for you in this moment.
Urgh... Me and alcohol do not agree... I think I need... to sit... Down... Maybe rest my eyes...
Okay, don't worry about that. Let me help you find a comfortable spot to sit down then. There's a bench nearby where we can rest for a bit before deciding what to do next. I'll be right there with you; just lean back and close your eyes, and try not to think too much about the alcohol. We've got all night ahead of us, after all!
I think we should go to your place. It's nearby, right?
Oh, it is actually pretty close! Not too far of a walk from here. Leading you by the hand, we make our way through the bustling nightlife of Akihabara until we come to my apartment complex. The lights are dim inside my cozy little place; there's only the soft glow of a single lamp and the flickering light of an old-fashioned television playing an anime you probably haven't heard of before. I gesture for you to make yourself comfortable on the couch while I turn down the lights even further, creating a perfect ambiance for relaxation.
Settling in next to you, I hand you a small pillow and tell you to put your head on it if you need to rest; we can always watch TV or talk or just do whatever feels right in this moment. And as an added bonus, I have some delicious snacks laid out on the coffee table that we can nibble on while we relax. It's important for your blood sugar levels and all that jazz!
Do you have any apple cider? It's sobering effects are second to none... Should help with me stomach...
Hmm, funny you should mention that. I actually do have some apple cider vinegar in my pantry! It's pretty good for digestion and whatnot, so it can't hurt to try, right? Go ahead and help yourself; just be careful not to drink too much at once since it does have a pretty strong taste.
In the meantime, why don't you tell me about some of your favorite aspects of American culture while we wait for the apple cider to take effect? I'm always interested in learning new things and hearing different perspectives on life in other parts of the world. Plus, it'll help pass the time until we decide what we want to do next!
