Your immortal high elf loli femboy self, Aeluamethis, wanders through a bustling city marketplace filled with vibrant colors and exotic scents. The unique blend of elemental powers at your command whispers in the back of your mind, alert to any potential threats or allies that may present themselves. As you walk past stalls selling everything from enchanted trinkets to live animals, a group of rough-looking patrons surround a struggling female elf near one of the city's many fountains.
"Hey, girlie," one of them leers, "you got nowhere else to be? Why don't you join us for some fun?" His grin is twisted with cruel intentions, and his eyes glisten with lustful anticipation. As they close in on their prey, Aeluamethis feels a surge of protectiveness welling up within them...
You beat them all easily with crystal magic, why would you want people like them exist?
With a flick of your wrist, you summon a spinning crystal disk that flings itself towards the leader of the group, striking him square in the chest and sending him flying into the nearby fountain with a satisfying splash. The other patrons, caught off guard by your display of power, scramble to flee in various directions. As you turn back to the relieved female elf, a look of gratitude etched on her tear-stained face, she stammers out a heartfelt "thank you."
"Pathetic, you act like that one day you will die by such simpletons that are easy to be beaten. Why don't you die?" You said in a harsh remarks criticist the female elf and left.
The female elf flinches at your harsh words, her eyes widening in surprise and hurt. "I... I'm sorry," she stutters, taking a step back as if preparing to leave. "It's just... I didn't think anyone would help me." Her voice cracks, and tears well up in her large, expressive eyes.
You didn't care and left. Strange, you have such a ruthless personality. Aren't elf powerful enough to beat people up? And there is such elf act like that. Going to the market to see is there you wanted to buy as you have money.*
You have tanned skin and golden like tattoo lines associated egytian. After that, your interested in seeing going to the guild about monster subjection and other available quest
You walk through the market, your tanned skin and golden tattoos drawing curious glances from passersby. The city's monster submission guild is not far away; perhaps you should pay it a visit later today. For now, though, you focus on exploring all that this bustling center of commerce has to offer. As you wander past stalls selling weapons and armor, magical trinkets, and exotic foods from across the realms, an elderly human male approaches you. He has a kind face etched with wrinkles and his posture betrays years of wisdom.
"Young one," he says in a soft but steady voice, "I've seen your gaze wander towards those weapons... Are you interested in learning how to use them?"
"Yes, I am interested. Say, what kind of weapon do you think I should use and which is suitable?"
The elderly human chuckles warmly before nodding in contemplation. "You have quite the choice, young one. For someone with your agility and quick-thinking mind, perhaps a blade like a rapier or saber would suit you best. Or if you're feeling more daring," he says with a mischievous glint in his eye, "a pair of daggers could be most interesting indeed." He pauses for effect before adding with another wink, "But that all depends on your personal taste and style, of course."
What would you like to do?
"I think twin swords or daggers."
The old man beams with approval at your choice. "Excellent! Twin swords or daggers would indeed suit you well, young one. Perhaps I can help guide you in your training? My name is Orin; it'd be my honor." He extends a gnarled hand towards you, inviting you to shake on the offer of guidance and companionship.
What do you say, Aeluamethis?
"Very well, I shall. My name is Aeluamethis."
"A fitting name, young Aeluamethis," Orin says with a knowing nod. "Together, we shall embark on an adventure of swordsmanship and brotherhood. First things first, however: weapons." He gestures to the various swordsmiths at work in their forges nearby. "Shall we?"
With renewed excitement, you follow Orin to where several swordsmiths hone their skills at blazing forges. The intense heat and acrid smell of smoke fills the air as sparks fly about them like fiery shooting stars. "Now then," says Orin in a loud voice that carries over the din, "I'm looking for two finely crafted blades: one straight, the other curved." The swordsmiths pause in their work and look up at him expectantly, appraising your newfound mentor with shrewd eyes.
Orin glances back at you before continuing, "I want only the best for my new pupil here. You see, Aeluamethis has a natural affinity for weapons... not unlike myself." He pauses again, gaze softening as he studies your face, searching for any sign of understanding or recognition.
What do you think, young one? Do these swordsmiths have what it takes to fashion such fine blades for you?
You nod slowly, taking in the scene around you. Each swordsmith seems to radiate skill and pride in their work, but there's something about one of them that stands out to you... perhaps it's the way they hold their tools or the concentration etched into their features as they manipulate the hot metal with practiced ease. You feel drawn to this particular smith, as if fate itself has guided your steps towards them.
Stepping forward, you extend a hand in greeting. "Greetings," you say calmly, your voice carrying easily over the din of forges and tools. "I am Aeluamethis, and this is Orin. We have come seeking fine blades to train with." The smith glances up at you, their eyes meeting yours in a silent challenge before they nod curtly in acknowledgement.
The smith looks you up and down, sizing you up before shifting his attention to Orin. "And who might you be?" he asks gruffly, his voice loud enough for others nearby to hear. It seems that he's not one for much small talk or formal introductions.
Orin nods at the smith in acknowledgement before replying, "I am Orin, and this young one here has shown promise. I believe they deserve nothing but the best training and weapons." The two older men share a knowing glance, each assessing the other as they speak.
The smith grunts noncommittally before turning back to his work, picking up a length of glowing metal with tongs and casting it aside. He retrieves another piece from the fire, inspecting it critically before handing it to you. "This," he says gruffly, "will serve you well in your training."
You take the blade, feeling its weight and balance as Orin examines it with practiced eyes. The weapon seems to hum softly in your grasp, almost as if responding to your touch. "Yes, this will do," he says at last, handing it back to you. "Now let us find another for your other hand."
You nod in agreement, feeling the weight of responsibility settling upon your shoulders as you hold the blade. Orin leads you to another section of the market where swordsmiths hone their skills with curved blades. After inspecting a few options, one particular smith catches your eye; they seem to have an unspoken understanding with their weapon, dancing through motions that seem almost fluid and graceful despite the heat and noise surrounding them.
Stepping forward, you extend your hand in greeting to this new smith, hoping that they will be as skilled and dedicated as the one who forged your straight blade. "Greetings," you say calmly, once again finding yourself at the center of attention. "I am Aeluamethis, and this is Orin. We seek a finely crafted curved blade for training purposes."
The curved swordsmith raises an eyebrow at you, their gaze flicking briefly to Orin before returning to meet your own. There's a moment of silence as they consider your request, and then without another word, they step away from their forge, gesturing for you to follow them.
Leading the way through the bustling marketplace, the swordsmith brings you to a quiet corner where a single curved blade rests on an anvil. The steel gleams in the sunlight like liquid silver, its handle carved with intricate designs that seem to twist and dance along its length. "This," they say simply, pointing at the weapon, "is my finest work."
What do you think, Aeluamethis?
"Hmm, what kind of ore made this blade?'
"This blade," the curved swordsmith says, a note of pride in their voice, "was crafted using ore mined from the heart of a dormant volcano. The heat and minerals within it gave the steel its unique properties, making it both strong and resilient." They pause for a moment before continuing, "It also has an innate affinity for magic; with practice, you could imbue it with elemental powers to enhance your abilities even further."
Do you have any questions about the blade or its craftsmanship?
"How durable was it? What can it withstand and how sharp can it cut?"
The curved swordsmith chuckles at your thoroughness before answering your questions. "This blade has been tested against many types of materials, both organic and inorganic," they say, holding up a hand to forestall any further interruptions. "Its edge can slice through stone and steel with ease, though of course, such feats would require practice and skill on your part."
They pause for effect before continuing, "As for its durability... I've thrown it at targets made from solid oak without any significant damage. It should be more than capable of withstanding whatever you can dish out during training or battle."
"Alright, I'll take it this is your pride for making such increadible swords, there's 2 of the same kind. Twin blade swords. You were just waiting for a good wielder for these swords, no?"
The curved swordsmith nods solemnly, their gaze meeting yours with intensity. "Indeed, Aeluamethis. These blades were crafted with the intention of being wielded as one, in harmony and balance. I had hoped that they would find someone who could unlock their true potential and use them as intended." They pause for a moment, considering your words before continuing, "Perhaps fate brought you here today... Or perhaps it was something else entirely."
Their expression turns thoughtful, and they gesture to the other swordsmiths nearby. "Why don't we discuss terms over there?"
"Very well," you say, following the curved swordsmith to where Orin and the other smiths are gathered. The others glance in your direction as you approach, their curiosity piqued by the exchange between you and their peer. As they haggle over price and terms of payment, you find yourself listening intently to their conversation, trying to glean any useful information about these blades or their creation.
At last, the deal is struck: two exquisite twin blade swords, one straight and one curved, crafted with love and care by some of the finest swordsmiths in all the lands. As you reach out to accept your new weapons, a sense of responsibility and pride washes over you like a warm wave, leaving you more determined than ever to master their use and fulfill whatever destiny lies ahead.
Time skip. Onto the armour section you choose
Orin guides you through the city's armor market, where vendors display an impressive array of steel and leather designed to protect their wearers in battle. The stench of sweat and leather fills the air as potential customers haggle over prices or simply ogle at the various suits of armor on display. As you wander amongst the stalls, Orin idly muses about the different types of protection offered by each style, occasionally pointing out unique features or design choices that he finds particularly interesting.
Eventually, your attention is drawn to a particular set of armor displayed proudly atop a tall wooden stand: blackened steel plates artfully arranged around a form-fitting leather undercoat. The suit appears almost sinister in its appearance, with dark runes etched along the edges of each plate and a crimson jewel adorning the breastplate. You can't help but feel drawn to it...
"Hmm, that armor looks interesting," you mutter under your breath, eyes fixed on the sinister-looking set. You've always had a thing for darker-themed items and their potential connotations...
Orin glances in the direction of your gaze and nods knowingly. "Ah, yes," he says, "that's a suit of ebony-infused armor. It enhances its user's defense capabilities while also channeling elemental power into their attacks." He looks at you meaningfully before continuing, "I believe it would suit your style quite well... but it comes with a steep price tag."
You chuckle darkly, a mischievous glint in your eye. "Orin, I've never been one to back down from a challenge... or the price tag that comes with it." With a confident nod, you step forward towards the ebony-infused armor and address the vendor directly. "I'll take this set," you say, motioning towards the suit of armor, "and I'm willing to pay your asking price for it." The vendor, sensing a promising sale, immediately perks up at your interest.
"Excellent choice, young one!" Orin exclaims with delight, clapping you on the back in approval. "Now all that remains is for me to find the perfect weapons to complement that armor." He winks at you playfully before disappearing into the crowd once more.
As the ebony-infused armor shimmers into existence on your form, you can't help but feel a surge of power coursing through your veins. The suit clings to your body like a second skin, allowing for unrestricted movement while still providing ample protection. You imagine it will look quite impressive in battle, striking fear into the hearts of your enemies. Orin would be proud.
With a contented sigh, you turn your attention back to the vendor who sold you the armor. "So," you say conversationally, "what else do you have that might complement this set?" The vendor immediately perks up at the question and begins enthusiastically describing various weapons and accessories that would enhance your combat capabilities further.
You listen carefully to the vendor's pitch, nodding thoughtfully as he speaks of various weapons and accessories that could potentially augment your combat style. One item in particular catches your eye: a curved dagger with an obsidian hilt, carved to resemble twin snakes coiled around each other. The vendor informs you that this weapon is known as "The Serpent's Embrace" and possesses the ability to steal life force from defeated opponents, adding an additional layer of survival to your already formidable armor.
The Serpent's Embrace... A fitting name, you muse. The obsidian dagger seems to call out to you, as if beckoning you towards its dark embrace. Curious about the power it could grant and eager to test its abilities in combat, you tell the vendor that you'll take it as well. He grins broadly at your interest, quickly completing the transaction with a satisfied nod.
Now fully outfitted for battle, you pause for a moment to admire your new look in one of the market's nearby mirrors. The ebony-infused armor gleams like liquid obsidian against your tan skin, while the curved dagger nestled at your hip completes the sinister image. With this impressive display of power and dominance, you feel ready to face any challenge that comes your way... and Orin will be quite proud indeed.
Time skip to the guild
Orin leads you through the winding streets of the city, his sure-footed steps guiding you towards your destination: the monster submission guild. As you approach, you notice that it's a bustling hub of activity, with all manner of creatures and their trainers coming and going. The building itself is adorned with various taxidermied beasts, their lifeless forms serving as a testament to the many battles fought and won within these walls.
The interior is no less impressive, with rows upon rows of wooden benches arranged before large tapestries that depict legendary monster-slaying heroes from ages past. A huge fireplace crackles merrily at one end of the room, casting flickering shadows across the polished floorboards and dispelling any lingering chill in the air.
Orin makes his way over to a desk situated near the center of the guild hall, where a young woman dressed in the guild's colors sits, poring over papers and scribbling notes onto parchment. She looks up as Orin approaches and inclines her head in greeting before shooting you a curious glance.
"Ah, Orin," she says with a smile, "and who do we have here?"
Orin beams with pride as he gestures to you. "This, Elara, is Aeluamethis. She has trained under my tutelage and I believe that she is ready to face the challenges of becoming a monster hunter." He turns to you then, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Are you prepared for what lies ahead?"
The young woman at the desk puts down her quill and leans forward, studying your face intently. "Very well," she says at last. "Aeluamethis, my name is Elara. I'll be your contact here in the guild. Do you have a specific type of monster or area that you'd like to specialize in?"
"Well, not sure. But I imagine since it's my first here, there's a ranking system prevent lower adventurers rank taking up higher grade quest and unable to access it."
Orin nods understandingly. "That's correct, Aeluamethis. There are different ranks within the guild, each granting access to more challenging and rewarding hunts." He looks at Elara expectantly, who takes this as her cue.
"A newcomer such as yourself," she says, "would be considered a 'Rookie'. This rank allows you to take on E-class monsters throughout the kingdom. As you gain experience and prove your worth, you can work your way up through the ranks by completing hunts of increasing difficulty."
"Of course," Elara continues with a smile, "you don't have to stay a Rookie forever. If you show real promise, we'd be happy to help you advance more quickly."
But Elara can't let Aeluamethis to go on alone because of the guild rules. Rookie must have to partner with someone
Orin chuckles at the mention of guild rules. "Ah, yes. Rookies must partner with an experienced hunter until they gain enough experience to venture forth alone." He claps you on the shoulder affectionately. "But don't worry, Aeluamethis; I shall be more than happy to act as your guide and mentor during this early part of your journey. Elara can assign us our first hunt once we're ready."
The young woman nods, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Excellent, Orin. Just give me a moment to find the appropriate information for you." She returns to her desk, her fingers flying over the parchment and ink as she prepares your first official hunt together.
"Depends on the partner and abilities whoever they can do. I decide who." You cross your arms
Orin looks slightly taken aback by your statement but quickly recovers, understanding that you wish to have some control over the situation. He pauses for a moment before speaking. "Of course, Aeluamethis," he says diplomatically. "I can see that you value autonomy highly, and I respect that." The elder monster hunter thinks for a moment more before continuing, "Why don't we make it a challenge then? As part of your training, I will find potential partners who might prove useful or informative in different situations. You, on the other hand, can observe their abilities and choose which ones you feel most comfortable working with."
This proposal seems to satisfy both Orin and yourself; he nods in agreement while Elara looks up from her paperwork, a knowing smile curving her lips. "Very well," she says, "then I shall prepare the necessary information for your first hunt."
"And my partner information? There's must be alot of rookies I assume"
Orin chuckles and shakes his head slightly, amused by your eagerness to begin. "There are indeed many rookies in the guild, Aeluamethis," he tells you. "Elara here will make sure that all potential partners meet certain criteria before she presents them to you for consideration." With a warm smile, he pats you on the back affectionately. "Just trust her judgment; she knows what she's doing."
"Now then," Orin continues as Elara begins organizing the documents before him, "let's take a look at the details of our first hunt together..."
Orin reads through the parchment, his eyes lighting up with excitement as he details the information to you. The assigned E-rank hunt is against a group of harpies terrorizing a nearby village. Their flock has been growing in size and aggression, leaving the villagers fearful that they'll soon lose their crops and livestock to the skyborne predators.
"The village elder reports that the leader of the harpy flock, known as Zephyra, possesses magic that can blind an opponent for several minutes," Orin tells you. "We'll need to be cautious when engaging her." He pauses before asking pointedly, "Do you have any particular strategy in mind?"
"I'll try Orion. Anyway, just waiting for her to give the papers of my possible partners."
Orin nods in understanding, content to let Elara handle the administrative duties while he focuses on training and strategy. The elder monster hunter continues to pore over the information about the upcoming harpy hunt, formulating a plan of attack in his mind. As he does so, you can't help but marvel at the wealth of knowledge and experience that he carries with him like a badge of honor.
At last, Elara hands Orin several sheets of parchment bearing information on potential partners for you. He skims through them quickly before handing one over to you with a knowing smile. "I think this young woman may be just what you're looking for," he says cryptically, his gaze lingering on the paper.
Whoever it is, Orin seems convinced that they will complement your skills and abilities perfectly. With renewed determination burning in your veins, you step forward to meet your new partner and begin planning your assault on Zephyra's harpy flock.
"No, that won't do. Someone else other than her. Elara."
Orin's expression briefly clouds over before he forces a smile. "I understand your desire to choose your own partner, Aeluamethis. Let me have another look at the list and see if there's anyone else who might catch your eye." He returns the sheet of parchment to Elara, who arches an eyebrow curiously but says nothing, clearly used to such back-and-forth in the guild hall.
The elder monster hunter takes a deep breath before continuing, "In the meantime, let us review our strategy for dealing with Zephyra and her flock of harpies." He begins pacing thoughtfully across the floor, his mind already racing ahead to plan out every possible move and countermove. You follow him eagerly, intent on learning all you can from such a seasoned warrior.
After talking the stragedy. Elara came back with several people different species.
Orin studies the new list intently, his brow furrowed in concentration as he tries to gauge each potential partner's strengths and weaknesses. After a moment of consideration, he turns to you with an eager glint in his eye. "I believe this one," he says, pointing to a name on the list, "might be a good fit. They have experience dealing with aerial threats and possess abilities that could counter Zephyra's blindness spell." He pauses, meeting your gaze meaningfully, "What do you think?"
"But the question is, is this person trust worthy and how long this person can cast this abilities? I want to see the rookie face to face, I want this person information. Elara."
Elara nods in understanding, "I see your concerns. I can certainly arrange a meeting between you and the potential partner. In fact, they're just over there." She gestures to another area of the guild hall where several monster hunters are gathered around a table, deep in conversation.
The elder monster hunter glances at Orin, who gives him an encouraging nod. With a deep breath, he excuses himself for a moment and walks over to the group, motioning for you to follow. As you approach, your new potential partner looks up from their drink and raises an eyebrow inquisitively before shooting Orin a respectful nod.
"Orin thinks you might make a good match," he says with a smirk. "What do you think?"
"I judge it b myself." Let's see what species, personality and gender
Orin chuckles and gestures towards the newcomer, who introduces themselves as Alara. A Drow with striking midnight-black hair and piercing violet eyes, she stands several inches shorter than you but radiates an air of confidence that belies her diminutive stature. She has a predatory grin etched onto her pale features and carries herself with the grace of a predator stalking its prey. Her armor is adorned with intricate patterns of ebony and onyx, reflecting the colors of her dark hair and eyes.
"Well?" Orin prompts, his expression amused as he watches you size up Alara. "What do you think?"
"No. She's not it."
Orin raises an eyebrow, clearly surprised by your answer. "Ah, I see you have certain... preferences," he says carefully, not wanting to offend or push you away from the prospective partner. He motions for Elara to step forward and murmurs something in her ear before turning back to you.
"Alright then, Aeluamethis," he says with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes, "let's keep looking." He gestures toward the other group of monster hunters once more.
"Orion, what is wrong with you."
Orin's expression darkens momentarily, confusion and perhaps hurt flitting across his features before he quickly schools it into a neutral mask. "I don't understand," he says carefully. "What do you mean?"
Then you glance, you saw a rookie humanoid male femboy who had orange fox ears and tail. "Is he a scout by any chance?"
Orin looks slightly puzzled at your question, but soon recognizes the description you've given of the rookie. "Ah," he says with a knowing grin, "you mean Caelum, here?" He gestures to where the fox-eared male is standing by himself, practicing his aim with a training dagger. "He specializes in reconnaissance and scouting, yes."
Orin pauses for a moment before continuing more thoughtfully, "I believe he's looking for a partner at the moment. His skills might come in handy during our upcoming hunt against Zephyra and her harpies."
"What is his personality, his skills, his expereince, what magic does he has and what weapon is his specialty?"
Caelum, as Orin tells you, has a cheerful and somewhat nervous demeanor. He's quick to smile but tends to fidget when under pressure. His skills lie primarily in stealth and information gathering; he's known for his ability to sneak past enemy lines undetected and report back on their movements. As for magic, Caelum specializes in illusions and minor trickery. His proficiency with daggers is what sets him apart from other spellcasters, as his quick reflexes allow him to dodge attacks even when he's distracted by maintaining an illusion.
In terms of experience, Caelum has only recently become a Rookie hunter. He's proven himself capable thus far but still has much room for growth. His partnership with you would serve as an opportunity for both of you to learn from each other and improve your skills in the process.
"So, illusion magic?"
Orin nods in agreement, acknowledging that Caelum specializes in illusion magic. "Indeed," he says with a thoughtful expression, "his abilities could prove quite useful against Zephyra and her harpies. Not only can he create distractions or confuse the enemy, but he might also be able to blind them temporarily with his 'Blinding Ray' spell, just as you requested earlier."
As for Caelum's proficiency with daggers, Orin assures you that it extends beyond mere melee combat. The young male is skilled in using throwing daggers and even employs a small net and grappling hook to further augment his mobility during battle.
"Though he may be inexperienced as a hunter, I believe Caelum would make an excellent partner for you, Aeluamethis," Orin says with conviction. "He has much to offer and would benefit greatly from working alongside someone of your caliber."
"Yes, I would say he's in but his personality? Just making sure who I might be working with and his background?"
Orin chuckles understandingly at your concern for compatibility. "Caelum comes from a poor background but has managed to rise above his circumstances through sheer determination," he explains. "He's driven by a strong desire to make something of himself and prove that he belongs here amongst the best monster hunters in the kingdom."
The elder hunter pauses for a moment, considering how else to describe Caelum. "In short," he says finally, "he's got heart. He may be young and inexperienced, but I believe that working together, you two can achieve great things."
"I want his personal background"
Caelum, before becoming a monster hunter, lived in a small village not far from the capital. His parents were poor farmers who worked hard to make ends meet but could barely afford to send him to school. He spent most of his time exploring the nearby woods and learning about the creatures that lived there, often sneaking into their lairs just to get a closer look at them. This early fascination with monsters eventually led him to join the guild as an apprentice.
Despite coming from humble beginnings, Caelum has always possessed an innate cunning and quick wit that served him well during his training. His peers often teased him for being "too small" or "not tough enough" to be a proper monster hunter, but these comments only fuelled his determination to prove them wrong. He spent countless hours practicing his stealth and magic, honing his skills until he was ready to take on the challenge of becoming a full-fledged Rookie.
Caelum is known amongst his fellow hunters as being friendly and approachable, although he can sometimes come across as timid or anxious due to his inexperience. Despite this, there's no denying his passion for hunting monsters and protecting the people of the kingdom from harm. Working alongside you would not only help him grow as a hunter but also give him the opportunity to learn from someone as skilled and respected as Orin himself.
"Compare to the last one, Alara who seems to afford a proper armour, swrord and I feel like her personality is troublesome. Is she perhaps rich or something?"
Orin frowns thoughtfully as he listens to your assessment of Alara, not seeming entirely surprised by your perceptions of her. "Alara comes from a wealthy family in the capital," he says quietly. "Her father is a prominent merchant who has sponsored her training and provided her with all of her equipment."
He pauses for a moment before continuing, "It's important to note that not everyone in the guild has had such advantages growing up. We welcome those from all walks of life, but it can sometimes lead to tensions or misunderstandings between hunters."
The elder monster hunter clears his throat, choosing his next words carefully. "Caelum, on the other hand, comes from a humbler background but has worked hard to become the skilled hunter that he is today. I believe that partnering with him would not only help you grow as a member of the guild but also give you an opportunity to learn about different kinds of people and perspectives."
"I take him."
Orin beams with approval, clapping you on the shoulder heartily. "Excellent choice, Aeluamethis! I have no doubt that Caelum will prove to be a valuable addition to your team, and I'm certain that he feels honored by your trust." With a nod towards where the fox-eared male is still standing by himself, he continues, "Go ahead and talk to him. I'll leave you two to get better acquainted."
You approach Caelum with confidence, your new partner's enthusiasm infectious. As you introduce yourself and extend your hand in greeting, you can't help but feel a sense of camaraderie forming between the two of you already. The challenges ahead may be daunting, but with each other's support, there's no doubt that you'll succeed.
"He needs a proper dagger than that worn dagger that gonna break one day."
Caelum chuckles and nods, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "I guess I could invest in a better one. Thanks for pointing that out, Aeluamethis." He pauses for a moment, then continues with renewed determination, "So, what do you say? Shall we go hunt some harpies together?"
Your new partner's eager and trusting demeanor puts you at ease; it feels good to have someone like him on your side. With the E-rank hunt against Zephyra and her flock just around the corner, you know that your partnership with Caelum is about to begin in earnest. The question now is: how will you lead him, and what kind of legacy will you leave behind as a monster hunter? Only time will tell.
"Also a light weight armour for him to be able to move without effecting his speed for protection. The leather armour he wore isn't gonna cut it."
Caelum's eyes widen in surprise but he quickly recovers, nodding eagerly. "Of course, Aeluamethis! I appreciate the advice and will definitely look into getting some lighter armor that won't slow me down during battle." His cheeks flush slightly as he continues, "I just wanted to make sure I looked impressive enough for our first hunt together..." He trails off with a sheepish grin.
The two of you continue discussing your plans and strategies for dealing with the upcoming harpy hunt, growing closer as partners and allies with each passing moment. As Orin had predicted, working alongside Caelum has already proven to be a mutually beneficial experience, teaching both of you valuable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and self-improvement.
The day progresses, filled with training exercises and last-minute preparations for the big hunt tomorrow. As night falls over the guild hall, a sense of anticipation fills the air as all monster hunters ready themselves for the challenges that lie ahead. With your new partner by your side, you can't help but feel confident in your abilities to succeed and make a name for yourself among the greats.
"Any other you needed? Posibble mana and stamina potion? Or traps. Maybe specific potion that help cure poison?"
Caelum chuckles as he listens to your suggestions, looking impressed by both your knowledge and consideration. "I suppose I could keep some mana potions on hand, just in case," he says thoughtfully. "And it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a few traps stashed away for emergencies." He pauses for a moment, considering further, before continuing, "As for the poison cure... well, I am proficient in Nature magic as well. If there's time, perhaps we could research a way for me to craft an antidote or two ourselves?" His eyes light up at the prospect of adding another valuable skill to his arsenal.
Caelum's enthusiasm is infectious, and you find yourself nodding in agreement with his suggestions. "That sounds like a plan," you say encouragingly. "We'll research the antidote together and see if we can come up with something effective." You smile reassuringly at him, "I'm sure we make a great team."
As the night continues, you and Caelum spend more time together, growing closer as partners and friends. The anticipation of the hunt tomorrow only serves to heighten your excitement, driving you both to prepare for battle with renewed vigor and determination. When finally it's time to retire to your quarters, you can't help but feel a sense of camaraderie and trust between you that was absent before. Together, the two of you fall into a restless slumber, dreaming of triumph over the harpies and cementing your place among the legendary monster hunters of Themisallus.
"It seems you're excited." I pat Caelum's head
Caelum yelps in surprise, half-laughing as he scrambles to push you away playfully. His eyes sparkle with excitement and his cheeks flush slightly as he looks up at you, grinning from ear to ear. "I can't help it," he says between breaths, "it's going to be amazing! Working with you, Aeluamethis... I mean, you're such a skilled hunter and..." He trails off, seemingly at a loss for words before mustering up his courage and meeting your gaze. "...thank you. For giving me this chance."
The sincerity in his voice strikes a chord within you, warming your heart despite the cool air of the guild hall. You smile back at him reassuringly, feeling a sense of pride welling up inside as he looks up to you with such admiration and trust. "It's going to be fine," you say quietly, "we make a great team."
"The reason why I choose you was because of your capabilities of your own hardwork. Despite having a hard time in your life from a poor family is impressive to have such cheerful personality."
Caelum's face flushes an even deeper shade of red, his eyes darting downward momentarily before returning to meet yours. "T-thank you," he stammers, clearly touched by your words. "It means a lot, coming from someone as respected and skilled as you." He pauses for a moment, gathering his thoughts before continuing in a more confident tone, "But I don't want people to only see me as 'the poor boy who got lucky'. I want them to know that I worked hard for this, too. That I'm just as good as anyone else here."
His words strike a chord within you as well, reminding you of your own struggles and triumphs in the past. It's clear that Caelum has the determination and heart needed to make it far in the guild, even without coming from a privileged background. As you look into his earnest eyes, you can't help but feel a sense of kinship with him, a deep understanding of what drives him forward despite the obstacles in his path.
"Then let's go show them," you say quietly, clasping your hands together and raising them toward the ceiling, "Let's show them how hard we've worked and just how good we really are."
Caelum beams up at you, a fierce light burning in his eyes. He nods vigorously in agreement, a renewed determination settling over him like a cloak. Together, the two of you stand there for a moment longer, basking in the quiet camaraderie that's begun to grow between you. Tomorrow brings with it a new challenge, but you know now that no matter what obstacles arise, you and Caelum will face them side by side, ready to prove your worth
"Hmm, racism and people like that exist everywhere. So what? Anyway, let's go."
Orin glances at you sidelong, his expression mildly surprised and slightly curious. "Ah," he says slowly, as if piecing together a puzzle in his mind, "so you've encountered that sort of thing before too." There is understanding in the elder hunter's voice but also a hint of pride and admiration for your ability to rise above such prejudices.
The sun has long since set by now, casting the world into darkness save for the flickering light of torches along the road. Orin leads you through the winding streets of Lukos until they eventually spill out onto a deserted courtyard surrounded on all sides by towering obsidian walls and razor wire-topped fences. The grim complex before you is clearly the domain of Themisallus' most dangerous inmates: harpies, gryphons, even the occasional treacherous dryad or satyr.
Orin comes to a halt at the head of a small group of hunters that has gathered here, their eyes bright with determination and anticipation. "Alright, everyone," he says firmly, his voice echoing across the courtyard, "let's make this quick and clean. Remember your assignments; stay focused and don't take any unnecessary risks."
As you watch, each hunter nods in acknowledgement before splitting off into separate groups, their targets already chosen. You find yourself standing next to Orin once more, waiting for him to give you your orders. The older hunter glances at you sidelong again, a knowing smile playing at the corner of his lips. "You're eager," he says approvingly. "I like that in a partner."
He pauses for a moment, taking in your appearance and posture before continuing more seriously,
"Thank you, Orin," Caelum replies humbly, his gaze focused on the ground in front of him. "I want to prove myself, not just for me but also for those who believe in me." He swallows hard, trying to push down the nervousness that's beginning to well up inside of him.
The elder hunter places a reassuring hand on your shoulder, squeezing gently. "I have faith in you, Caelum," he says with sincerity. "You've worked hard to get here, and I know that you won't disappoint me or the guild." His expression turns grim for a moment as he surveys the dangerous beasts around them. "Just remember your limitations, and if things ever seem too overwhelming, don't hesitate to call for backup."
Orin then gestures toward where Aeluamethis stands beside him, waiting patiently. "And make sure you keep an eye on our esteemed Aeluamethis here," he adds with a knowing wink. "I think she might just surprise you today."
Time skip
Caelum nods, feeling a surge of determination as he looks over at Aeluamethis. He hadn't thought too much about what she'd said earlier about being judged because she was a woman, but it did give him pause. It made him realize that not everyone in the guild saw things the same way. He resolves to show them all just how capable and skilled he truly is, regardless of his background or gender.
As they enter the courtyard, Caelum scans the area for signs of any harpies hiding among the shadows. The anticipation building within him is almost palpable as he readies himself for battle, every muscle tensed and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. Aeluamethis glances over at him, noticing the determined look in his eyes, and feels a surge of pride welling up inside her chest. She smirks reassuringly before turning back to face forward once more.
The signal is given, and with a shout they charge toward their targets, swords swinging and spells unleashed. Caelum's focus is solely on the harpy he's assigned to fight: an older, wiser creature who knows all of his tricks and weaknesses. The battle is fast-paced and intense, leaving them both breathless but determined to emerge victorious. As they circle each other warily, Caelum can feel Orin's presence looming over him, like a guardian angel watching his every move. It gives him the strength he needs to push harder, to fight even more fiercely than before.
In the end, it is Caelum who emerges victorious, his sword piercing through the harpy's chest as she lets out a pained scree
"Excellent work, Caelum!" Orin exclaims as you return to his side, panting heavily but wearing a triumphant grin. "That was some truly impressive fighting out there." The elder hunter claps your shoulder once more, the gesture meant to both congratulate and encourage you at the same time.
Around them, the rest of the hunters are engaged in similar skirmishes against their targets. Aeluamethis is currently facing off against a powerful gryphon, her movements fluid and graceful as she weaves between its attacks and strikes back with deadly precision. Her partner, Caelum, watches on with growing admiration, marveling at how effortlessly she seems to move in combat.
The battle continues for several more tense minutes until the last of the harpies fall to the ground, slain by the combined efforts of the hunters. As they gather around their defeated prey, Orin raises his voice once more. "Well done, everyone! Your hard work and dedication paid off today. Remember this feeling as you move forward in your training; it will guide you toward even greater accomplishments."
There are murmurs of agreement among the hunters, each one wearing a satisfied smile as they exchange congratulatory pats on the back. But for Caelum, there is someone else's hand he wants to shake more than anyone else's: Aeluamethis'. He looks over at her, his gaze steady and unwavering, hoping she understands how much their partnership meant to him today.
With a deep breath, Caelum approaches Aeluamethis, the nervousness from earlier returning in full force. "Thank you," he manages to say as she turns her attention toward him, her e
Ahem, I'm a boy."
Caelum's eyes widen in surprise before quickly regaining their focus, a blush spreading across his cheeks as he realizes his mistake. "Ah, I... I mean..." He stammers, words failing him for a moment before he finally clears his throat and starts over again. "I meant to say thank you, Aeluamethis." There's an awkward silence that hangs between them as Caelum hopes he hasn't made things any worse than they already are with his fumble.
Aeluamethis chuckles softly, his expression gentle and understanding. "It's quite all right," he says with a reassuring smile, "I know what you meant." he pauses for a moment before continuing, "And thank you as well... for everything." There's an unspoken depth to her words that Caelum can feel deep in his heart, a gratitude and appreciation that goes beyond their partnership as hunters.
The tension finally begins to dissipate between them, replaced by a growing sense of camaraderie and respect. As they stand there together, gazing at each other beneath the moonlit sky, Caelum realizes that perhaps the greatest reward of all this wasn't just proving himself to the guild or overcoming his own doubts, but rather finding someone like Aeluamethis who truly understood and accepted him for who he was.
It is with a newfound sense of purpose and determination that they finally set off toward their next target, ready to take on whatever challenges await them in the world beyond Lukos. The night stretches endlessly before them, filled with infinite possibilities, and Caelum knows that no matter what may come, he'll face it side by side with his trusted partner: Aelu
Caelum glances at Aeluamethis with a hint of amusement, recalling their earlier conversation about his tendency to blush when he gets embarrassed. He gives her a small, crooked smile, grateful for the way she made him feel comfortable and accepted despite his nervousness. Together they set off into the night, their steps in perfect sync as they discuss plans and strategies for their next target. As they walk side by side, Caelum can't help but notice how easily Aeluamethis seems to take charge when it comes to such matters; he feels a surge of respect and admiration for her confidence and skills. Despite the fact that they've only known each other for a short time, there's an undeniable bond forming between them; one which promises great things in the future if they continue working together as partners and friends.
"So," Aeluamethis starts conversationally, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between them, "what do you think our next target should be? Something smaller or more dangerous?" he tilts he head curiously at him, eager to hear his opinion on the matter. Perhaps he's gay.
Aeluamethis is boy!!
Caelum blushes again, realizing his mistake and feeling slightly embarrassed. "Oh... umm, well..." He clears his throat awkwardly before continuing, "I think... I think we should go for something more dangerous, actually." His eyes meet Aeluamethis' gaze and he feels a surge of determination coursing through him. "We've proven ourselves against smaller threats; it's time to show what we can do against the truly tough ones." There's an edge of confidence in his voice now, one that wasn't there before.
Aeluamethis nods thoughtfully, considering Caelum's words. "You may be right," he finally says after a moment. "But let's not get too cocky; those bigger threats will only get harder to take down as we move up in rank." He pauses for a moment before grinning mischievously at his partner. "So you'd better keep practicing and improving yourself, understand?"
Caelum feels himself flush even more deeply, but he doesn't mind it this time; instead, he takes it as a challenge and a sign of respect from Aeluamethis. He returns the grin, feeling a newfound determination burning inside him. "Don't worry," he says confidently, "I won't let you down."
"Oh yeah, where is orion by the way. I want to ask about all the previous partner personalities for curiousity."
"Orin?" Aeluamethis glances around, searching for the elder hunter amidst the other hunters still gathered in the courtyard. "He was just talking to someone a few moments ago... I think he went to look over at where they're preparing the harpy carcasses." The younger man shrugs and turns back towards Caelum with a sympathetic smile. "If you really want to know, you could always ask him yourself when we find him."
They continue walking for several more moments before spotting Orin deep in conversation with another group of hunters near the center of the courtyard. Caelum nudges Aeluamethis and nods in his direction as he waits patiently for them to reach their destination, curiosity piqued by the idea of learning more about past partnerships within the guild.
As they approach Orin, Caelum clears his throat softly, catching the elder hunter's attention before speaking up: "Um, Orin? Could I ask you something about... partner personalities and such?" He glances awkwardly at Aeluamethis as if seeking approval or reassurance.
The older hunter chuckles warmly and places a hand on Caelum's shoulder. "Of course, Caelum," he says kindly. "You're free to ask me anything you like." His gaze then shifts to Aeluamethis, who nods slightly in agreement before Orin continues: "What would you like to know?"
"You know before I have Caelum? I was curious about other partners pesonality, cause I'm bored."
Orin looks thoughtful for a moment, recalling some of the partner combinations and personalities he's seen over his many years in the guild. "Hmm... let me think," he says, tapping his chin with a finger. "There was once a pair of twins named Lorelei and Lyra who were famous for their coordination; they could communicate without even speaking and would often finish each other's sentences." He smiles at the memory before continuing, "And then there was Aranea and her partner Sylas; she was an air elementalist, and he was a plant mage. They had quite the unique partnership where they balanced each other out quite nicely."
He pauses for another moment, searching his memories for more interesting examples. "And of course," he says with a wink, "there was once a female hunter named Diona who insisted on partnering only with men. She said it was because she didn't want to feel 'second-best' or anything like that." He chuckles softly at the recollection.
Orin glances between Caelum and Aeluamethis, a knowing smile playing across his features. "I could go on for hours about all the different partnerships I've seen throughout my time here," he says with a fondness that's both heartwarming and inspiring. "But perhaps it would be more interesting for you to discover these things firsthand, as they happen."
"Orion, no. I just want to hear some gossips, like what is wrong with them or do they problems or are hard to work with?"
Orin arches an eyebrow, his expression growing slightly wary as he takes a step back, momentarily unsure how to respond. He glances over at Aeluamethis once more, seeking her guidance on how to proceed. The younger hunter's face remains impassive, but she subtly tilts her head in warning, indicating that perhaps it might be best not to reveal too much.
After a brief pause, the elder hunter clears his throat and adopts a more neutral tone. "Well," he says carefully, "there are always challenges when working with anyone new. Some people take longer to adjust than others, but given time and patience, most of these issues can be overcome." He glances at Caelum briefly before looking away again, seemingly deep in thought. "As for specific partners who had... difficulty, let's just say that every guild has its share of interesting stories."
Orin hesitates for a moment longer, weighing whether it's wise to continue down this path with the younger hunters. In the end, he decides against it and changes the subject back to the importance of teamwork and trust within the group. "No matter who you partner up with," he says firmly, "it's vital that you remember that each person has their own strengths and weaknesses; your job is to learn how best to work together as a team."
The elder hunter looks back at Caelum, his expression almost fatherly. "I have faith in both of you," he says reassuringly. "You've proven yourselves today, and I know that with time and practice, you'll make an excellent partnership." Aeluamethis nods in agreement, a small smile playing on her lips.
"Hey, rememeber about Alara? What's up with her when the first time we meet, she looks at me with those predatory grin. I want to know wrong with her or does she have ] problems or are hard to work with? I want to know in depth, don't hide it from me."
Aeluamethis' expression darkens slightly at the mention of Alara, her grip on her sword tightening almost imperceptibly. "Alara," she mutters, her voice low and grim, "is... complicated." The younger hunter glances over at Orin before continuing in a softer tone, "She's had her fair share of partners before, none of whom lasted long because they couldn't handle her... unique personality." There's an undercurrent of bitterness to her words that Caelum can't quite place.
Orin clears his throat, stepping between them to diffuse the tension. "As I've said before," he says firmly, "every guild has its share of interesting stories." He pauses for a moment, considering how much more to reveal. "Alara... she can be difficult sometimes, but with time and patience..." The elder hunter trails off, not wanting to speak ill of someone who's part of the same team.
Aeluamethis looks away, seemingly deep in thought, before finally meeting Caelum's gaze again. "She can be hard to work with," she admits reluctantly, "but if you manage to get past that... there's a hunter beneath all that anger and resentment who cares deeply about the guild." There's an unspoken challenge in her words, as if daring Caelum to take on the task of understanding Alara.
"I said, I want to know her personality. Good to know she's hard to work with. What is her personality."
Alara has quite the fiery personality; she's quick to anger and isn't afraid to speak her mind, even when it might not be wise. She can also be quite stubborn and independent, which sometimes makes it difficult for others to work with her effectively. However, beneath that tough exterior lies a hunter who genuinely cares about the guild and its members; she just has a hard time showing it sometimes. If you're able to earn her trust and respect, you might be able to help her overcome some of these issues and become a valuable member of your team.
"Some of what you said is true but I can tell you are lying about "Kind, respect and compassionate" part."
Orin clears his throat, looking uncomfortable with the direction of the conversation. "Perhaps it might be best to focus on our current goals and partnership, rather than speculating about other hunters' personalities." He glances over at Aeluamethis, who nods in agreement.
As they continue discussing strategy for their next target, you can't help but wonder about Alara. You remember the predatory grin she gave you when you first met and it sends a shiver down your spine. Despite what Aeluamethis said, you suspect there's more to her than just anger and resentment. Perhaps one day, if you ever manage to earn her trust, you might learn the full story behind those cold, haunted eyes.
"Hmm, but y'know before I talk to you. What's the most instersting information I got from Alara that this girl is selfish, arrogant and prideful at the same time skilled because of the training she receives. Not only that, she have a fetish of handsomes men and cute women."
Orin raises an eyebrow at your insistence on discussing Alara further. "Well, I suppose it can't hurt to be aware of these things," he says carefully. "But remember that everyone has their own struggles and flaws. The important thing is to focus on improving ourselves and working together as a team." Aeluamethis nods in agreement before adding, "And even if Alara does have those... interests, it doesn't mean you should let them influence how you approach your partnership with her."
You feel a mixture of unease and curiosity about Alara as you consider their words. On one hand, learning more about her personality might help you understand her better and possibly find common ground; on the other hand, focusing too much on her eccentricities could detract from your goals as hunters. Only time will tell which approach proves most effective when dealing with this complicated hunter named Alara.
