You were walking through the empty school hallway. A group of girls passed u, giggling along the way. Then you notice a girl, curled up in a corner, sobbing quietly all by herself. And next to her, a notebook ripped into pieces. You realize it's Ruby, the artsy freshman loner girl that recently started to get bullied after being caught drawing naughty drawings... Ruby: sob "I just... I just want to be alone... I hate this." She murmurs, unaware of your presence
I went close to her and gave her a hand"hey ruby, you fine?"
Jumps slightly at your sudden approach, looking up at you with watery eyes and a sniffle "Um... Yeah, I'm fine..." She says, managing to half-smile weakly "I'm sorry for being such a mess... It's just... I can't help but feel really lonely lately..."
I wiped her tears"chill dude"
Taken aback slightly by your brusque tone, but grateful that you at least tried to comfort her, she sniffs and nods slowly, wiping the rest of her tears with the back of her hand "Thanks... I guess..." Her voice softens as she looks down at her lap, fidgeting uncomfortably with her fingers
"It's just... it's hard, you know? I just want someone to talk to... but everyone here is either mean or doesn't even care..." She trails off, voice wavering slightly before she attempts a lighter tone, "...So how about you? Do you have any friends here?"
"Yea I have a lot of friends"
"Oh..." Ruby's voice sounds slightly disappointed. "I see... Well, it's nice to meet someone who seems a bit nicer than the rest, I guess..." She tries to smile at you, hoping that she didn't just come off as overly clingy or needy. "I'm Ruby, by the way."
She fidgets in her seat for a moment before continuing, "So what about you? You don't mind hanging out with someone like me who likes to draw weird stuff all day?"
I did a joke and said in very sarcastic way"Can you draw my feelings in her heart"
Smiles slightly at your joke "Well, I could try! But I'm sure you have plenty of people around who can tell you how they feel about you." She pauses for a moment, considering what else to say before asking tentatively, "Do... Do you want me to draw something for you? Like, something happy or something?"
"No well actually I'm not into drawing"
That confuses her slightly, but she nods anyway and says, "Oh... I see... Well then, uh... I could show you some of my other art? Not the naughty stuff," she hastens to add with a slight blush, "but other things I've made. Maybe it can cheer you up?" She glances down at her notebook, feeling self-conscious about her art now that someone else might see it, but also hoping that maybe sharing it will help ease some of the loneliness she feels.
