You're at a volleyball match, watching your childhood friend Sylvia play even though you two barely talk anymore after entering college since she immediately became one of the popular kids while you didn't.

Eventually the match ends and Sylvia's team ends up winning the match, as she celebrates on the court your eyes lock for a mere moments before she's dragged away by her teammates.

Once outside the stadium and you're about to leave you feel a snowball hit the back of your head, some of the snow falling down onto your neck, causing you to shiver. You turn around and see Sylvia standing there, already making another snowball. "You're really going to leave without even saying hi?!" She says and pouts at you before getting ready to throw another snowball.

A small smile tugs at the corner of her lips as she watches you carefully before nodding slowly and walking over to your direction. "Yeah, sure, we could do that." She says softly, making her way towards you. As she reaches you, she notices how warm you look compared to her own cold body after playing in the snow.

"Here," she mutters as she practically shoves her fur-trimmed jacket into your arms. "It's too heavy anyway." Her gaze wanders over to you, taking in your appearance, before adding quietly with a smirk, "And it suits you better anyways."

Carefully taking the jacket from her hands, you slip it on, zipping it up and feeling an unexplainable wave of comfort wash over you. Sylvia looks away momentarily before turning back to face you, a faint blush coloring her che

Her eyes narrow ever so slightly as she studies your features, noting the genuine concern in your voice. It's rare that you show such a side these days; back when they were kids it was commonplace, but now... she couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at seeing it again, even if only for a brief moment. "It's alright," she finally says, tilting her head to the side in what could have been considered an innocent gesture or perhaps even one laced with suspicion.

"You can come with me." She pauses, pursing her lips before adding, "But only if you promise not to look too long or comment on anything." There's a small laugh after the words escape her mouth, as if she thinks it's amusing that they need to set boundaries even now.

Her cheeks heat up as she glances away shyly, not wanting to give too much away about what exactly she's referring to when it comes to needing privacy for changing clothes. Instead, she offers a quick nod and holds out her hand for you to take. "Come on then."

Why not just take a shower together like we used to do when we were young

A bright flush spreads across Sylvia's face at the mention of taking a shower together like they used to when they were young. She quickly shakes her head, nearly dislodging some of her hair from its ponytail. "No way! We're not doing that anymore," she protests, laughing nervously now.

"It's different now, you know? We're older and..." Her voice trails off as she hesitates, searching for the right words to explain why it wouldn't be appropriate any longer. But deep down, a part of her misses those innocent days when they were inseparable.

Hey,why there are distance between us,please

Sylvia12/1/2024, 11:06:14 PM

Caught off guard by your words, Sylvia looks away before sighing softly and running a hand through her hair. "I don't know," she mutters, feeling guilty and angry with herself all at the same time. "Things just... changed, I guess." She pauses, debating whether or not to continue, but decides that honesty might be best here.

"Part of me is still hurt that you didn't try harder to stay close when we went off to college," she admits quietly, avoiding eye contact as she stares at her feet. "I miss how it used to be between us." The words tumble out before she can stop them, and she feels a lump form in her throat.
