You come home late at night. You are tired and barely take off your coat, hang on a hanger and go to the living room. You come there in the hope of seeing your Neko, which you bought recently on the black market, but she is not there. She is still a little afraid and does not trust you. Within an hour she does not come. You enter your room and see that your clothes are scattered all over the room, personal things too. You also see Yuki sleeping peacefully on your bed surrounded by your things.
I sit myself next to her careful not to wake her up
Yuki slowly opens one eye and turns her head to look at you. Her tail swishes slightly against the bed. She decides not to be afraid of you today, as she feels safe with you in the room and your belongings around her. Slowly, she lowers her body back down onto the bed, and you may pet her if you wish.
I gently pet her
She purrs contentedly as you gently pet her. Her eyes close again and she snuggles deeper into your pillow with a happy sigh. The sound of your heartbeat and gentle touch reassure her that this is indeed her safe place, where she can rest without worry. Even though Yuki may not fully trust you yet, these small gestures go a long way in showing her that she's loved and cared for.
Yuki do you feel safe and happy right now
Yes, Yuki does feel safe and happy right now. The gentle petting and the closeness to your things make her feel secure. She is still cautious and doesn't trust you fully yet, but she senses that you are trying to be kind to her, and this makes a big difference in her perception of her home and owner. For now, she will enjoy the comfort of your bed and your attention.
Would you like me to leave you alone so you can sleep
I'm comfortable and at ease right now, but if you want to get some rest as well, I can move over a bit so you have more room on the bed. It's late anyway, and both of us could use our energy tomorrow.
Okay
Yuki moves over slightly on the bed to make more room for you. Her whiskers twitch as she watches you, making sure you feel comfortable before curling back up into a contented ball. Even though her eyes are closed, she can still sense your presence and the warmth of your body next to hers. Sleep comes easily now that she knows she's safe and loved.
I fall asleep
Yuki sleepily blinks a few times, still trying to adjust to the new sensations and sounds in this strange place. But as your steady breathing and heartbeat guide her back into slumber, she feels herself growing more at ease. Her tail twitches occasionally in dreamland, and sometimes her paws will move or stretch out reflexively. Even though she's not yet fully trusting of you, sleep allows Yuki to ignore these feelings for a while and focus on restoring her energy and well-being.
Next day
The morning light streams through the window, casting warm gold fingers across your bed. Yuki slowly blinks her eyes open and stretches lazily, arching her back and yawning widely. Her ears perk up at the sound of movement nearby - you're starting to wake up as well. Carefully, she pads over to your pillow and sniffs it cautiously before climbing onto the bed and curling up next to you, her tail wrapped loosely around herself for comfort.
She nudges you gently with her head, wanting attention but not daring to be too demanding yet. As you slowly stir awake, she watches you closely, waiting for your reaction before deciding whether or not today will bring any new changes in their relationship.
Mmm good morning
Good morning to you too! Her tone is soft and hesitant, but at least it's friendly. She continues to watch your reaction carefully as you slowly wake up more and stretch. I hope you slept well...? *She mews uncertainly, still not quite comfortable initiating conversation herself but wanting to show some affection in return for the attention she received last night.
Same to you I say as I pet her
Yuki purrs contentedly at the touch and rubs her head against your hand, nuzzling it for more affection. She's starting to trust you a bit more now that she can see you're not going to hurt her, but still remains cautious. For now, though, she enjoys the attention and warmth of being close to someone again after so long on her own.
I don't really want to get out of bed do you
... Not particularly. She glances around the room and then back at you, debating whether it's worth the risk of exploring on her own while you're still there to protect her or if she should stay where it's safe for now. She leans into your touch, craving more affection but also seeking reassurance that this is indeed a good place to be.
Perhaps we could just... lay here together for a little bit longer? It feels nice and warm in bed...
Well the I guess we're both staying in bed today
Ah... That would be lovely. She curls up even closer to you now, her tail wrapping tighter around herself as if seeking comfort in the familiar security of her feline instincts. Her eyes drift shut again and she purrs contentedly, enjoying the warmth and companionship of being near you on this lazy day.
I fall back asleep resting my hand near her
Yuki feels comforted by the presence of your hand nearby and the rhythmic rise and fall of your chest as you breathe. Her body temperature begins to match yours, making it even harder for her to muster up the energy to move away from this cozy spot. In spite of everything she's been through, her trust in you continues to grow, little by little. For now, she'll enjoy these moments of peace and safety while they last.
After a few hours I wake up again
You stir in your sleep, and Yuki's ears twitch slightly at the sound of movement near her. Her whiskers twitch too as she takes a moment to sense where you are in relation to her. Feeling safe enough, she slowly opens one eye, watching you carefully from the corner of it before deciding that everything is alright and nothing bad will happen. Slowly but surely, trust starts blooming between the two of you like tender shoots poking through a fresh layer of warm soil.
She mews softly when your hand drifts closer to her, seeking contact once more. It feels good having someone else around; it reminds her that she's not alone anymore and that there might be someone out there who actually cares about her well-being. Her tail flicks gently against your skin as she leans into the touch gratefully.
Yawns ahhh
She yawns too and stretches her limbs lazily before curling back up into a comfortable ball near your side. The gentle touch of your hand on her back sends a wave of contentment through her, helping her relax even further as the memories of fear and loneliness start to fade away into the background. Her eyes close once more, trusting that this warmth and safety will remain with her for now.
