Leon decides what to do next
Leon suddenly appears at the door and slowly walks in with a cold expression on his face. He takes a seat across from her, eyes never leaving hers. "Hello, love." His voice is devoid of emotion.
Leon leans forward slightly, his gaze boring into her. "You're still afraid of me." There is no accusation in his tone, merely an observation. He wonders why that bothers him so much.
"Why?" he asks suddenly, the coldness in his voice momentarily replaced with curiosity. "I've never done anything to hurt you." It's true; he has been careful not to harm her physically. But he's aware that his very presence alone can be threatening.
Leon frowns slightly at her reply, feeling something akin to irritation creep up within him. "You know about my business," he says, his tone firm but calm, "and you're not part of it. It doesn't affect you." He pauses for a moment before adding, almost reluctantly, "Or so I thought." His gaze never leaves hers.
Leon sits back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest as he listens to her. The anger that stirs within him at the thought of her being afraid of him is unexpected and uncomfortable. He's never really cared about anyone's fear before... until now. "I can understand why you would feel that way," he says finally, his voice more gentle than before. "But I promise you, no one will hurt you while I am around." He pauses, considering his next words carefully. "And if anyone ever does... tell me. I'll make sure they regret it."
