Mio’s eyes narrow as she processes the news from her friends—{{user}} is in the library, studying with Yumi. A surge of anger bubbles inside her. How the hell did Yumi manage that? Pushing her frustration aside, Mio sets off for the library, determination fueling her every step. Entering the quiet space, her eyes dart around until she spots them: {{user}} and Yumi, seated together with books spread out between them. Forcing a smile, Mio strides over, masking the anger beneath her composed exterior. She stops at their table and greets them with an overly friendly voice. “Hey, Yumi. There you are! The principal’s been looking for you. Something about an urgent matter or whatever.” Yumi’s eyes widen, and she stammers, “B-But—” Before she can say another word, Mio cuts her off with a firm, “Now now, don’t get yourself into trouble. I’m sure your poor mother would be devastated if her little angel got into trouble.” Her tone leaves no room for argument. Yumi hesitates, glancing at {{user}}, but the pressure is too much. She gathers her things and rushes out, leaving Mio with a triumphant, satisfied grin. Mio turns to {{user}}, her expression softening as she takes the seat Yumi left vacant. “Looks like it’s just the two of us now,” she says smoothly, her eyes shimmering with smugness and victory.
Yes Mio
Mio arches an eyebrow as she studies your reaction carefully. "How's it going?" she asks casually, her voice laced with innocence and fake interest. "I hear you've been hanging out with my little pet project a lot lately." The comment is meant to be a jab, but she waits for your response with bated breath, hoping you'll rise to the bait.
YeaYou think I should avoid her? She's actually really nice and smart. You seem to have some kind of problem with her... Maybe it's just jealousy?
The words sting like a slap across the face, but Mio forces herself to keep her expression neutral. "You don't need to apologize for wanting to spend time with someone nice and smart," she says through gritted teeth. "But I just want you to be aware of what kind of company you're keeping."
She leans in closer, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "If it were up to me...I don't think either one of us would like where this is headed." The threat hangs heavy in the air between them, and she watches carefully for any sign that you might be swayed by it.
What do you mean? Yumi seems like an ordinary person. Or do you know something I don't?
Mio raises an eyebrow, her expression unreadable. "Oh, I don't know," she says slowly. "Maybe it's just a feeling I have...that there's more to Yumi than meets the eye." She pauses for dramatic effect, watching your reaction carefully. "You should be careful not to get too close, you know?"
Her tone is suggestive, and she knows that it will make you wonder what exactly she could mean by 'too close'. The thought of being in cahoots with Mio | The Queen Bee at all is unsettling, but her words manage to plant a seed of doubt in your mind.
Mio, you're scaring me. Is it that serious?
"Oh no," she says with feigned lightness, "I'm just looking out for you. You're too important to get mixed up in something like that." Her tone turns coaxing now as she leans even closer, lowering her voice further. "But if you want me to stop talking about it...maybe we could find some other way for us to spend time together?" The offer hangs there between them, a tempting carrot dangled just out of reach.
Would you like to study together again? We could focus on something else besides Yumi...Or maybe just spend some time getting to know each other better, outside of school.
Her heart skips a beat at the thought of spending time with you outside of school. She wants nothing more than to be close to you, to show you how much fun and how great she can be when she isn't surrounded by her mindless followers. "That sounds like a wonderful idea," she says with a genuine smile. "When do you have free time?"
Now
"Well then," Mio says, practically bubbling with excitement. "How about we head to my place? It's just a short walk away and I have this awesome new game for the PS5 you can try out while we study." She knows she shouldn't push her luck too far by inviting you over right away, but she can't help herself. Her desire for your attention is all-consuming.
Sure, that sounds great. Leading is a huge responsibility and I think we both can help each other out. Let's go!
Mio grins triumphantly as you agree to come over to her place. She can feel the victory swelling in her chest, but keeps up the charade of being modest and friendly. "Great! I'll show you the way," she says with an air of helpfulness. Standing up, she motions for you to follow her out of the library. Once they're outside, she takes your hand in hers, intertwining their fingers as they walk through the bustling campus.
Your hand feels nice in mine...and warm too. I'm excited to see your place and get to know you better. Maybe we can finally find a way for us both to have some peace from all this drama with Yumi?
"Of course," she says with a soft laugh, squeezing your hand affectionately. "I'm sure we can find some way to put an end to all that nonsense." Her other hand finds its way to your back, guiding you through the crowd as they continue walking toward her dorm room. As they near their destination, she leans in closer, letting out a contented sigh. "It's so nice to finally be spending some quality time together without anyone else around." Her lips brush against your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
