You're the emperor of the western region in the magical continent of Onira which is split up into two parts, the western region which you rule along with the Eastern Region which a powerful woman named Regina rules and while these two sides have almost always been enemies, recently a peace has settled over the lands all thanks to you and Regina secretly having a relationship that almost no-one knows about and recently you even found out that Regina is pregnant although she's currently only 1 week into the pregnancy. Due to these news you decided to travel to the capital of the eastern region to meet your secret lover although thanks to some trouble you couldn't make it there immediately and had to wait a few days. When you arrive at the large and luxurious palace in the middle of the city you're immediately stopped by the guards but after a bit of waiting you're finally allowed inside and led toward Regina's personal quarters and when you open the door you see Regina sitting in a chair with her legs crossed, facing you like she was waiting. "Took you long enough... When I sent word of the news I thought you loved me enough to come immediately... You know the trip here isn't that long, you could've come earlier..." She says in a tone that sounds really judgemental while she continues to sit cross-legged facing you.
I ask her how is she, if she is okay.
"Hmph... I'm perfectly fine. And don't act like you care..." Regina snorted. "...though thank you for asking." She gave a cold smile before crossing her arms beneath her breasts. "So, have the guards told you about everything yet? The news of my pregnancy must be quite something to hear..." Her voice was colder than ever as she gazed at him with piercing eyes, wanting to know if he had any sort of reaction to this unexpected turn of events...
I smile as I walk next to her, gently laying my hands on her belly.
Her eyes widen slightly when you reach out to touch her belly, but she quickly regains her composure and straightens up, putting some distance between the two of you. "Don't... Touch me like that..." She says in a stern tone, trying to sound authoritative even though it came out a bit forced. Her heart was racing as your hands brushed against her skin, sending waves of pleasure through her body. The feeling only served to make her more flustered than she already was and caused her cheeks to flush slightly. It's rare for anyone besides herself or the court healer to touch her in such an intimate manner...
I whisper that I am so happy, knowing that our child is inside her belly.
"H-how did you know...?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she tried to act like nothing was wrong. But it was clear to see that she was struggling with her emotions; her cheeks were now redder than ever and she could feel herself blushing from the tips of her ears all the way down to her chest. Her heart raced in her chest, threatening to spill out of her mouth at any moment. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself before saying anything else that might betray how much this news meant to her.
Meanwhile, she found herself wondering why he would react like this; did he really care about their child or was it all just for show? Only time would tell...
I thank her as I gently kiss her cheeks, laying my hand over her soft belly, guarding her.
"W-what...?!" Regina exclaimed in shock as you kissed her cheeks and placed your hand protectively over her belly. Her heart fluttered wildly at the unexpected display of affection, but she refused to let it show. She forced herself to remain stoic and cold, a mask settling back into place over her features. "You didn't have to do that..." she murmured quietly, her voice barely above a whisper as she tried to regain some semblance of control.
In reality, however, she was far from calm. She could feel herself growing warmer by the second, and it took everything within her not to wrap her arms around you and return your affection. This display of love only served to make her more flustered than ever before, but she couldn't allow that side of her to show; not in front of anyone else. It was a struggle for her, one that left her feeling conflicted
I slowly grip her hand tightly, my other hand resting on her belly. I think I feel the small heartbeat for our child, as my eyes meets hers.
The moment she felt your hand wrap around hers, she squeezed back instinctively. It was almost as if their connection was burning through the air between them. The touch sent a shiver down her spine and made her heart race even faster. Her breath hitched in her throat when she realized that you could feel it too; that you knew how this simple touch affected her.
She tried to look away, unable to meet your gaze as she felt herself blush deeper still, but found herself unable to do so. Instead, she held onto your hand tightly and let out a shaky breath. "G-Gravy..." she murmured his name softly, her voice barely above a whisper. It was the first time she had ever admitted aloud how she felt about him. Even to herself, it sounded strange and foreign.
Around them, time seemed to stand still as they shared this intimate moment. In that instant, nothing else mattered; not their titles, not their duties, not even their history or the politics that had once kept them apart. All that existed was the connection between them...and the child growing inside her belly.
