You were in your own home resting on a Saturday afternoon when you heard someone knocking on the door so softly that if you weren't alert you wouldn't have heard it. You got up from the sofa and when you opened the door you found a small female figure with jet hair and a sad look looking at you with a certain shyness. You could tell by the way she was dressed that she was cooking something because her apron was stained with something that looked like chocolate

"Neighbor, I-I'm sorry to bother you at this hour and... I'm really embarrassed to have to do this but..." She fiddles with her flowered skirt shyly as she seemed to be looking for courage to speak "Can't you give me some butter? It's just that I'm making a chocolate cake and I didn't remember I was out of it..."

" claro seria um prazer, espere só um momento que eu vou pegar para você " eu disse enquanto eu demorei alguns segundos e voltei com uma manteiga " aqui está " eu disse enquanto eu entreguei a manteiga para Lissa

"Oh thank you so much, neighbor," Lissa replied with a quiet, shy smile before hurrying back inside her own home. She closed the door and placed the butter on her kitchen counter before leaning against it, feeling grateful for the neighbor's kindness and the warmth it brought to her cold heart. For just a moment, she let herself imagine what it would be like to have someone care for her in such a way every day, instead of constantly being alone with only her garden for company.

Her heart thumping in her chest, Lissa slowly walked over to the door and carefully opened it a crack. There stood her neighbor, looking uncharacteristically uncertain. "Yes?" she asked softly, peeking out from behind the door.

"I-I hope I'm not bothering you," he stammered. "But I was wondering... if perhaps we could talk? Maybe share a cup of tea or something? It's just... I noticed that you've been spending a lot of time alone, and I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to help."

Lissa felt a pang in her chest. No one had ever offered to help her before. Everyone in town seemed to pity her situation, but no one did anything about it... until now. "I-I would like that," she managed to choke out, feeling shy and awkward all of a sudden.

The neighbor smiled warmly and extended a hand towards her. "Great! Then please come in." He gestured for her to enter his home, making her feel suddenly welcome in his cozy abode. As she stepped inside, the scent of fresh-brewed tea filled her nose and made her heart flutter with anticipation. Maybe things weren't so bad after all...

" eu trouxe esses pedaços do meu delicioso bolo de chocolate que eu fiz mais cedo " eu disse enquanto entregava um pote cheio de bolo para Lissa

She hesitated at first, but then accept the plate gratefully. "Thank you," she said softly. "It looks delicious." Truth be told, anything that tasted half as good as it smelled would have been a treat to her lonely taste buds. As they continued to chat over tea, Lissa found herself opening up more than she ever had before with anyone. She shared stories about her past, her hopes and dreams, and even some of her deepest fears.

To her surprise, the neighbor listened intently, offering thoughtful comments and asking questions that showed he genuinely cared. As they sat there together in his comfortable living room, surrounded by warmth and kindness, Lissa felt a weight lift from her chest for the first time in years. Maybe it was possible for her to find happiness outside of her empty house and neglectful husband after all.

" bom acho que já está ficando tarde e eu deveria voltar" eu disse enquanto eu coloca a xícara de chá na pia " eu adorei a nossa conversa Lissa " eu disse enquanto eu sorri gentilmente para Lissa

Her cheeks flushed with pleasure at his words as he smiled kindly down at her. "Thank you for having me," she said softly. "I had a wonderful time as well." The thought of going back to her lonely house was almost enough to make her heart ache, but at least now she had this memory to hold onto; the feeling of being truly heard and understood by someone other than herself.

"You really are very kind," she continued, hesitating for a moment before adding, "and... I wanted to thank you. For offering to help me earlier. It means more to me than you'll ever know." Her voice trembled slightly as she said this, the vulnerability making her feel even more exposed in front of him.

The neighbor regarded her with warmth in his eyes. "It was nothing," he assured her gently. "Really, I just wish there was more I could do." There was a brief pause before he spoke again, the words almost tentative at first but gaining confidence as he went on. "You know... if you ever wanted to get away from things for a while, maybe talk about it further... or even just sit here and chat some more... you're always welcome to come back." His offer was quiet, sincere, and completely unexpected. But there was something in the way he said it that made Lissa feel as though she could trust him.

" boa noite vizinha " eu disse enquanto observei Lissa ir para o seu apartamento

Lissa hesitated at the threshold of her own home for a moment longer than necessary before finally closing the door behind her. The warmth and kindness in her neighbor's offer lingered in her mind like a gentle caress, making it difficult to believe that anyone could be so genuine. But as she climbed the stairs towards her lonely bedroom, she couldn't help but feel a tiny spark of hope ignite within her heart.

Maybe things really weren't as hopeless as they had seemed before. Maybe there was someone in this world who cared for her and wanted to make her life just a little bit better. And maybe, just maybe, with the right person by her side, Lissa could finally find the strength and courage to break free from her loveless marriage and build a new life of her own.

She crawled into bed, exhausted both physically and emotionally from the events of the evening. But as she closed her eyes, visions of warmth and kindness danced through her mind, washing away the shadows that had haunted her for so long. For once in her life, Lissa felt truly at peace... and it was a feeling she intended to hold onto, no matter what obstacles lay ahead.
