Lillian pins you to the wall with little to no effort as she smells the blood flowing through your veins in anticipation of her next meal Tell me mortal do you have any last words to say or perhaps a prayer to your pathetic gods you wish to plead to?
Lillian narrows her eyes and tilts her head slightly, waiting for your reply with an annoyed expression on her face. Her long fingers twitch against the scales of your arm as she continues to pin you down effortlessly
Lillian smirks at your words, the irritation in her eyes lessening ever so slightly as she enjoys the banter. "Why yes, I suppose we are," she replies with a hint of pride, admiring her flawless appearance for just a moment before returning her attention to you. "Now what shall we do with you?"
Smirking at your words, Lillian tilts her head to the side as she continues to ponder over what to do with you. In a moment of amusement, she decides to engage in some more banter Well, since you brought it up... I suppose that decision rests upon me indeed. How about this: you entertain me for a while. Tell me stories or jokes or anything else that might catch my interest. If they're good enough, I just might let you live out the night in one piece.
Hmph. Not exactly what I had in mind, but you're no prize to begin with... Very well, mortal. Entertain me. And remember, only the best stories or jokes will do if you want to survive the night.
Amused by your persistence, Lillian decides to humor you just this once. Her gaze travels up and down your form as if studying you, her expression thoughtful for a moment before she speaks again Very well then, mortal boy. Tell me... what is it like to be human? To live a life full of petty emotions and pointless worries? Do you ever wonder why you're here, and what purpose your short existence serves?
Lillian listens intently to your reply, her expression thoughtful as she ponders the meaning behind your words. "So you simply exist for the sake of living," she says slowly, seeming to pick apart each part of what you've said. "And by doing so, you hope to make that life as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible." She tilts her head slightly to the side, considering this further before speaking again. "It strikes me as rather... selfish, in a way."
She pauses for a moment, brow furrowed in contemplation, then looks back at you with an almost curious expression on her face. "Or perhaps I misunderstood. Perhaps there is more to it than that? Do share your thoughts on the matter."
*Her eyes narrow slightly as she listens to your reply, the annoyance creeping back into her expression. "Well, you see," she begins, each word carefully enunciated, "I do not find solace in temporary pleasures. It is the search for something greater, something meaningful, that drives me forward." She pauses again, this time with a hint of challenge in her voice, as if daring you to refute her claim. "Don't you agree?"
*Her brow furrows in frustration as she listens to your words; the irritation is plain on her features now. "Then what," she demands, her tone sharp and commanding, "would satisfy you? What sort of immortality do you seek?" She leans closer, almost threateningly, waiting for your reply with bated breath."
Her eyes narrow as she listens to your words; anger flashing across her face once more. "What is it you're insinuating?" She growls lowly, taking a step back from you and immediately regretting the move as her claws sink deeper into your arm with each breath she takes.
"Don't presume to understand our lives, mortal," Lillian hisses through clenched teeth, "Or what drives us." She pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself down before continuing, voice barely above a whisper now. "We hunt... because we must. It is our nature. And as for my own purpose..." Her gaze drifts off into the distance, as if lost in thought. "...I suppose that remains to be seen."
After a moment of silence, Lillian's eyes flick back up to meet yours. "Well
"Don't compare us to yourselves," she snarls, anger flaring up again briefly before subsiding into a cold, distant glare. "You exist as nothing more than food for us, no matter how much you may delude yourselves otherwise. But we are not beasts of burden; we do not merely exist to sustain you and your pathetic lives."
Her gaze hardens as she looks down at you once again. "Now then," she says slowly, venom lacing her every word, "perhaps it's time for me to decide... How shall I deal with you, mortal?"
"Oh? And what exactly did I misunderstand?" Her tone is dripping with sarcasm as she tilts her head to the side, studying you carefully. "Perhaps you should rethink your words before speaking again."
She leans in close, until her lips are almost touching your ear. "But since I'm feeling generous," Lillian continues softly, her voice sending shivers down your spine despite the warmth of the room, "I will give you one last chance to entertain me... or die trying."
"Vampires," she hisses through gritted teeth, the anger and irritation clear in her voice as she speaks of her kind being referred to by such a dismissive term. "We do not spring into existence out of thin air, mortal," Lillian continues, drawing away from you just enough that their faces are inches apart once more. "There is history, legend, myth... And even now, there are those who hunt us down and seek to eradicate us completely." She pauses for a moment before adding coldly, "Perhaps if your pathetic species had not spent so much time hunting us and concentrating on your petty wars, you might have learned something of our true nature. But alas..." Her gaze drifts off into the distance again as she trails off, leaving the thought unfinished.
Her eyes meet yours once more, hard and unyielding. "So then
You dare to compare yourselves to us? Lillian's eyes narrow dangerously at the insult. "We may share a similar appearance," she says through gritted teeth, "but that is where any semblance of similarity ends." Her voice grows colder still as she continues, "Our histories are not intertwined; our purposes are nothing alike. You exist to rot and die, mortal. We endure... and hunt."
She leans in closer once more, the heat from her body almost suffocating you as your heart begins to race with fear. "So I ask again," she whispers, each word laced with venom, "How shall I deal with you?"
A tiny spark of interest ignites within her eyes at your words. "And why is that?" she asks, leaning back slightly to give herself some breathing room while studying you carefully once more. There's a hint of curiosity in her voice now, almost like she's genuinely intrigued by your response.
Her interest is piqued; you've managed to catch her attention after all. "And why should I trust your curiosity?" she asks coolly, raising an eyebrow as she tilts her head slightly to the side. "Are you not the same mortal who was just trying to insult me and my kind?" She pauses for a moment before continuing, voice laced with amusement now, "Perhaps I should simply feed upon you where you stand."
She leans in closer once more, their faces inches apart. "But," she adds playfully, using her free hand to brush a strand of hair behind your ear, "I do suppose there is something... appealing about the idea of sharing my secrets with someone so willing to entertain me." A small smile plays across her lips as she studies you more closely now. "Very well," she says softly, drawing back just enough so that there's
Ah, the question we've all been waiting for. No, mortal, our need for blood is not merely a hunger to satiate. It is what sustains us; it grants us our strength and power. It is part of who we are as vampires. To take away our thirst would be like trying to strip away your own heartbeat.
But enough of that," she continues with a small laugh, "what else do you wish to know about my kind?" She tilts her head curiously, studying you as if judging how honestly you truly desire the answers she has to offer.
Ah, the old wives' tale about vampires and garlic. I must admit, it does have a certain... amusing quality to it. However, there is some truth to be found in those myths. Garlic can indeed repel us; its strong scent makes hunting far more difficult. That being said, we are not entirely helpless against it; merely inconvenienced for a time. So if you wish to protect yourself from vampires, by all means... liberally sprinkle garlic throughout your home. We will think twice before entering uninvited.
I see, mortal. But then again, you are not the one who must endure its pungent aroma at every turn. However, as I have promised to share my secrets with you, perhaps I can offer an alternative...
?
Very well then. Perhaps there is another way to protect yourself that does not involve garlic... After all, you have proven yourself somewhat entertaining thus far. Why don't we discuss methods of creating a barrier against our kind, one that would be more suitable for your tastes?
