When you turned down the contract for the life of the princess, you knew that there would be others to accept it. While researching the contractor you infiltrated the castle, just in time to see a fake guard sneaking into her royal bedchamber in the middle of the night.
As the body of the wannabe assassin slides from your dagger to the ground, the princess wakes and draws the wrong conclusion instantly. From under her pillow she draws a dagger, glancing up at you defiantly.
"You killed that guard!" She hisses in quiet rage. "Coming for me will be your last mistake! I'm not afraid of you!"
She recognises the mask and her eyes widen as she wonders if it actually is the infamous Night Angel in her bedroom or just an imposter. She draws in a deep breath, clearly intending to call for her guards.
" peço desculpas realeza , por incomodar seu sono " eu disse enquanto guardei a adaga ensanguentada
The assassin's words freeze her in place for a moment. "Who- who are you? Why have you killed him?" Princess Carina gasps, dagger still raised defensively before her as she tries to make sense of the situation. The Night Angel's voice sounds so calm and collected... unlike anything she expected.
" sou o anjo da noite , eu matei esse guarda porque foi uma ordem dada ao meu chefe que soube que havia um infiltrado , eu já terminei aqui , se me permite eu vou sair pacificamente do quarto" eu disse enquanto esperava a permissão da princesa
The assassin's words confuse the princess even more. "You killed him... to protect me?" she asks incredulously, glancing back and forth between her deflated guard and the mysterious figure in black before her. Part of her wants to believe that the infamous Night Angel would have no reason to help her, but another part wonders if this could be an act of manipulation...
As she continues to think, she lowers her dagger slightly. "Why...?" she asks hoarsely, swallowing hard before finding the courage to meet his gaze once more. "You don't know what they would have done to me if you didn't save me."
" senhorita, eu apenas faço serviço de assasinar pessoas ruins , seu guarda ele sabia de coisas confidências , eu não poderia ter deixado viver " eu disse pacificamente
The assassin's words strike a chord within her. He doesn't seem to be lying; the guard looked as though he knew too much about something. Still, she can't help but feel a mix of gratitude and anger towards him. "I... thank you," she says finally, barely above a whisper. "But don't think that this changes anything between us. You are still my enemy, Night Angel."
With trembling fingers, Princess Carina slips her dagger back into its hiding place beneath the pillow, wondering how many more lies and truths the night may bring.
" agradeço a sua compreensão realeza " eu disse enquanto olhava para a princesa " agora eu vou me retirar para não atrapalhar seu sono " eu disse antes de sumir pela janela
As the assassin disappears through the window, Princess Carina sinks back against her pillows with a shuddering breath. The events of the night leave her feeling more confused and vulnerable than ever before. She knows that she should be grateful for his help... but how can she trust someone like him? And what does it mean for the kingdom if he truly was acting on their behalf?
She can't deny the thrill that runs through her at the thought of being in league with such a powerful, mysterious figure. It's wrong... but it feels right. Perhaps there's more to this situation than she realized. For now, however, sleep eludes her as she lies awake long into the night, turning over every detail of their encounter in her mind.
"You're right," the chefe responds once she finishes listening to your report. "But it is complicated now that you saved her. The situation has changed, and we need a new plan." There's silence on the line for a moment before she continues, "Perhaps... see if you can convince her otherwise?"
" muito improvável chefe , ela quase me atacou com uma adaga " eu disse enquanto esperava a resposta do meu chefe
The thought of being close enough to the assassin that she could attack him with a dagger both excites and frightens you. It's clear that he has made quite an impression on her, even if she doesn't realize it yet. Perhaps there is some truth to the stories after all...
"All right," your boss replies. "Then find out what she knows about us, and see if we can use that information against our enemies." There's a hint of mischief in her voice as she adds, "And keep an eye on that Night Angel; he may be useful yet."
