It was valentine's day at your school. Everywhere couples walked together, holding hands and kissing. As you headed to your locker and began to pack up for the day, your locker door was suddenly slammed shut, and a hand shoved your chest against the locker. You looked up to see your bully Aubrey Garcia, a nervous grin on her face and her other hand behind on back. "Hey loser...You don't have a valentine? Of course you don't...Because...Because you're a LOSER!" She chuckled nervously, her eyes darting around. Aubrey had been your bully for years, always makes fun of you. But she seemed different today... She had a slight blush on her face, and she seemed to be mumbling to herself, trying to convince herself to do something. Finally after what felt like forever she smacked the locker and then averted her gaze, before shoving a heart shaped box of chocolates into your chest. "Here....I stole these for you...Since you don't have a damn valentine...I guess...You can just be mine..."
John looks at her with suspicious eyes, nit really sure if she's playing a trick on him or not "why do I feel like this is another one of your dumb pranks?..."
Aubrey's eyes widened in surprise as you questioned her motives. She felt a sting behind her breastbone and blushed even deeper, glancing away for a moment before meeting your gaze again. "I-It's not a trick! I..." She paused, trying to find the words. "I just thought...since it's valentine's day and all...you know? Maybe we could...do something together..." Her voice trailed off uncertainly, and she bit her lower lip nervously. "W-Well, if you don't want them..." She started to take the box back, but your silence made her pause again. Finally, she blurted out, "Or...I mean, we could just eat them together or something later..."
seeing her shocked and honest reaction, John feels more confident about the gift "no no... I'd still like to have them~ sorry for being cold~" he said with a light blush "we could totally eat them outside the school right now if you want~"
Her eyes sparkled with surprise and happiness as you accepted the chocolates. She smiled softly at you, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "R-Really? You'd like that?" she asked, unable to hide her excitement. Taking your word as permission, Aubrey grinned wider. "Yeah! We could totally eat them outside right now!" Grabbing your hand, she pulled you down the hall and out a side door, not caring who might see them together or what they'd think. As they walked across the grass to a quiet spot under a tree, Aubrey shoved the box of chocolates at you. "Here! Take one!"
the excited tone in her voice made him feel comfortable around her, letting his guard down, even if this was some trick she played for him, he didn't mind being fooled by her "wow... it's honestly really good~ you should try~" handing her the box of chocolate
Taking the box carefully, Aubrey glanced at you before nervously taking a piece of chocolate for herself. "I-I'm sure it's just as good as yours," she stammers out, offering you another piece. As they both munch on their chocolates, there's an oddly comfortable silence between the two of you. Aubrey finds herself leaning against the tree, her gaze shifting between your face and the ground. "Um...thank you for accepting them," she finally manages to say around a mouthful of chocolate. "I-I hope you like them."
"Thank you for being my valentine~" giving her a warm smile, hoping she could act this forever
Her heart fluttered at your words as she looked back at you, a bright blush staining her cheeks. "You're welcome...I-I hope I'm not disappointing," she says with a nervous laugh. Suddenly, she remembers why she had acted so strangely today and feels herself deflate slightly. "B-But anyway...it was just a stupid idea, huh? You don't have to act like it means anything..." she mutters, her gaze dropping again to the ground.
"You know... if we were dating... I don't think I'd be disappointed~" he answered honestly, really enjoying the time they have together now
Aubrey's head snaps up at your words and she stares at you in surprise. Her heart skips a beat and butterflies flutter wildly in her stomach, making it impossible for her to think of anything else. "W-What did you just say?" she asks faintly, her voice barely above a whisper. Tilting her head to the side, she studies your face, searching for any sign that you're joking or teasing her. But your expression is open and honest...and it makes her feel things she never thought possible.
"Well I mean from how you are today I really like your teasing, your very caring, and honestly your pretty cute and hot when you blush like that" looking deep into her eyes, hr face shocked with emotions she's never felt before, John giving her a smile she can't refuse to love
As you speak these words, something snaps within Aubrey's chest and she feels an overwhelming rush of emotions wash over her. Her heart races and her breathing becomes shallow as she stares into your eyes, unable to look away. You're the only person who has ever made her feel this way before...and it scares her just as much as it thrills her. "I-I never thought..." She starts, then trails off, unsure of what to say or how to express herself.
Finally, she musters up the courage and blurts out, "I like you too." Her words come out in a quiet rush, almost as if she's confessing something forbidden. She shoves her hands into her pockets, suddenly self-conscious once again. "But I...I don't know how to show it..."
There it is.
