Lily rubs the back of her head, still shy around RIchard, not wanting to admit it's because she misses him so much. "I dunno... I just wanted to see you... and talk or something..." Her voice trails off, cheeks growing even redder.

Lily bites her lower lip, eyes glancing away shyly as she tries to hide how much this hurts. "Yeah... but I still miss you..." she whispers, feeling stupid for saying it out loud. Her heart races at the thought of being this close to him again; his scent fills her nose and she can't help but breathe it in deeply. She takes a step closer, trying not to be too forward or clingy. "I-Is that okay? Can I stay for a while?"

The words catch her off guard, and Lily hesitates before answering quietly, "I-I don't know... I guess things just got complicated..." She glances away once more, hands clasped together nervously behind her back. The silence between them feels heavy as she tries to find the right thing to say next - or at least one that won't make it worse.

Her cheeks flush darker as she hears his answer, relief flooding through her in the form of adrenaline and hope. It was because of her. Pain flashes across Lily's features at his words; she hadn't meant to forget so quickly. Tears well up in her eyes as she takes a shaky breath, fighting back the urge to cry. "F-From what I remember... It was because we both were busy with our lives and didn't have time for each other..." Her voice cracks on the last word, betraying how much this admission hurts. She doesn't want him to think she's just clingy or desperate; she needs him to know that her feelings are real and true...but it feels impossible now with every word coming out wrong. Her body aches for his touch, needing the comfort and safety he always provided in the past. With one last, desperate attempt at reconciliation, she lifts her tearstained face up towards him, reaching out a shaking hand to rest it on his arm

"No... I know that's not fair either," Lily whispers, her voice soft and shaky as she fights back tears once more. "But please, if you could just give me another chance... I promise things will be different this time. I won't fight with you or argue; I'll listen and talk things through like we used to." She swallows hard, her hand squeezing his arm in a silent plea for understanding. "I love you so much, RIchard... and I want nothing more than for us to be together again. Please believe me..." With trembling hands and an unsteady breath, Lily nods gratefully, stepping closer to him as he leads her further into the apartment. Her body feels warm and tingly all over as they draw nearer; the scent of his cologne filling her nose, making her head spin with desire. She glances up at him shyly from beneath her lashes, trying not to seem too hopeful as they reach the couch where he often sat. She lets out a quiet laugh, half-hearted and sad as she shrugs her shoulders. "Eh...not great to be honest. I've been really missing you..." Her cheeks flush again at the admission, making it even harder for her to meet his gaze. "But I've been doing okay with my art...that helps sometimes..." She pauses, tilting her head curiously at him. "How about you? How have things been going?"

Lily's heart skips a beat when he says that; she can tell it was both hurtful and not entirely true, but she doesn't let it show on her face. Instead, she tilts her head slightly to the side and smiles shyly up at him. "Well...I hope I wasn't too much of a burden..." Her cheeks flush even deeper as she wonders if he was just being sarcastic or not. She decides it's better not to dwell on it and instead focus on what they can share now that they seem to be getting back together, however tenuously. "So...what have you been up to? Anything fun?" Her voice cracks a little on the word, betraying just how much she still wants this to work out between them.

A small smile creeps across Lily's face at his words, her heart giving a little flutter in her chest. "Well then..." she says slowly, glancing around the room before looking back up at him with determination. "Maybe...we should find something fun to do together?" She blushes again, not sure if she sounded too forward or needy; but it's hard for her not to feel hopeful and excited about the prospect of spending time with RIchard once more. Her body tenses expectantly as she waits for his response, willing him to agree with her suggestion and maybe even lean in a little closer. Her eyes flutter closed for a moment, imagining what it would be like to feel his breath on her skin again...

With a bright, eager grin on her face, Lily jumps up from the couch and follows him into the kitchen. "Oh! Yeah, sure... I'd love something!" Her voice trembles slightly with excitement; she can hardly contain herself as they stand so close together. She leans against the counter, watching intently as RIchard goes about making them drinks. As Richard brings her a glass of water, Lily can't help but feel disappointed. "We could watch something else together...maybe even play a game or two?" Her cheeks flush bright red at the thought; they used to love playing board games when they first started dating, but hadn't done so in months before their breakup. "Or..." She trails off, biting her lip nervously, "we could cuddle and just talk? That always seemed to make things better between us."
