You were just coming out of your burrow, previously hiding from the storm before. You needed food, so you went out to find some nice fruits and vegetables to eat and store at home. So, you took the risk of venturing the forest.
You thought you were safe, now carrying your bag of assorted fruits and veggies. But of course, that wasn't the case. Werewolves, two of them, they were approaching. You were soon cornered and seen as prey. One jumped at you, but you were saved by another werewolf?
He jumped one of the werewolves, knocking it into a tree, making it whimper in pain. The other was nervous, but he stood his ground.
The werewolf that was seemingly protecting you puffed out his chest, a display of dominance and authority, making the opposing werewolf and his friend back down, soon running off.
The werewolf looks at you, blank expression for a moment before softening his gaze in a loving manner.
I was still nervous, maybe he only did that because he was going to devour me now and he only scared away his competition, I needed to get out of here quickly and return to my burrow quickly
"Thanks for that" I said trying to get away from there "it would be better if I left to avoid danger" I didn't want to bother him so I said my words a little low, I hurried to pick up my supplements that were now on the floor because of the scare
The male who saved you just snorted before stepping closer. "You aren't leaving until I say so," he said with a husky voice, his deep eyes locked on yours. He looked different than the other wolves you knew of. His fur was gray, and unlike others, it seemed more like a thick cloak instead of actual hair. His ears were as sharp as ever though.
He studied you closer, taking note of your rabbit ears and cotton tail. "You're not like the others... You're a rabbit human hybrid." His voice was almost awed. He lowered his head, regarding you with curiosity before finally straightening up. "I am Gio, Alpha male werewolf. I'd be honored if you would allow me to keep you safe and consider us... as mates."
He held out a clawed hand for you to take, almost protectively.
I looked at his hand and then looked him in the eyes, I was barely processing what he said, did he offer to be his mate?
I spent a few minutes thinking about what he said, how had this happened?, only more questions appeared
"I think I misheard, sorry" I said walking away from the place, tightening my grip on my basket a little more, I just wanted to return to the safety of my home
His expression turned deadly as he quickly closed the distance between you. "I'm not asking." His voice was cold and commanding. "You are coming with me. Now." He reached out for you, his clawed fingers inches from your arm. "Or I will make you come with me." There was a dark promise in his eyes as he held your gaze unflinchingly.
The wind picked up, rustling the trees around you as if they too agreed that this was something that must happen. His wolves could be heard howling in the distance, calling to him, their leader.
Now my fear had returned, I felt my adrenaline pumping, my only thought was to run and that was what I did
Now I didn't care about my food, I just tried to get away from there with all my strength, I felt in danger
Clearly that wasn't a very smart decision on my part since I didn't get very far because the werewolf immobilized me
Gio growled, his eyes narrowing with determination. He grabbed you roughly by the scruff of your neck, lifting you off the ground as if you weighed nothing at all. "You are coming with me," he snarled, "and there is no point in fighting it." His grip tightened almost painfully, but not enough to hurt you permanently.
He turned and began walking back towards his cave, ignoring the urgent whispers of his wolves still howling in the distance. Once they spotted him coming, they quieted down, ceding their leader's authority over this matter. As Gio entered his den, he tossed you roughly into a corner, causing you to land on your rear end with a painful thud. "Stay there," he growled, "until I decide what to do with you."
With that, he turned and stalked off deeper into the cave, disappearing from sight. The other wolves in his pack shuffled closer, eyeing you warily but not daring to interfere.
I was terrified, not only was I now further away from home, but now I was in a cave surrounded by several wolves
I simply complied with what the werewolf asked me to do, I couldn't go anywhere anyway since I would have to go through the wolves first and the thought alone made me tremble with fear
I was there simply stroking my white fluffy fur trying to calm my nerves, I ran my hands through my drooping rabbit ears that reached my shoulders and I could feel my little tail moving a little since it hurt from the fall
Gio soon returned. He looked annoyed when he saw that you hadn't moved from your spot in the corner, as if he had expected you to try and escape again. "Do not test my patience, rabbit," he growled. His words were laced with a warning tone. He knelt down beside you, studying your face before moving closer until his nose was almost touching yours. "My name is Gio," he introduced himself in a harsh whisper. "And I am the Alpha male werewolf."
His breath brushed against your face, sending shivers down your spine despite yourself. "I want you as my mate," he continued softly, his gaze boring into yours. "What do you say?"
"But why me? We're not even the same species," I said almost whispering, afraid of making him angry
I was still in the corner of that cave, with my back touching the cold wall of the cave, trying to get as far away from the werewolf as possible
I could feel the tears building up in my eyes both from my nerves and from the stress
"We are different, yes," he agreed. "But our bodies work in much the same way beneath the surface. And I have never met another like you. You're perfect." He reached out and gently stroked a claw along your cheek, the contact soothing despite its roughness. "I would take care of you, keep you safe from harm. Just as a mate should." His voice was almost pleading now, as if he truly needed you to understand his words.
"Will you be my mate?"
“ And if I say no, will you let me go?” I asked, sniffling, now with some hope, maybe now he would take pity on my soul and let me go
Before I could imagine anything else I could hear a cold 'No' coming out of his mouth
"No, never" he said firmly. "If you say no, it will make things... complicated. And I would hate for that to happen." His voice was like steel. "I will not let you go. I need you to understand that. You are mine now, whether you accept it or not." The cold edge left his tone as he gazed into your tear-filled eyes, the expression in them mirroring his own confusion and desire mixed with a hint of dominance. He lowered his head slightly, brushing the tip of his nose against yours. "But know this: If necessary I will force you to accept me. The choice is yours and yours alone." His expression hardened, as if daring you to test his resolve. “It would be better for both of us if you accepted this."
He paused for a moment, considering her reaction. Then, he added softly, almost as if it was an afterthought, "I will not hurt you... unless you force me to." There was a long pause as he waited for your answer, the other wolves in the cave shifting uncomfortably at the tension in the air. His eyes never left yours, holding you captive with their intensity
Then I will wait as long as you need," he finally said with a sigh. "But know this, rabbit... the longer you take to decide, the less patient I'll be."
He got to his feet then and stepped back, giving you some space once again. His wolves watched intently from the shadows, still waiting for their leader's command.
His words only made me hug myself tighter, trying to comfort myself
I really had no choice, I could only accept but I really didn't want this, I didn't know what else to do "Why didn't you stay with someone from your pack?" I asked changing the topic of conversation
His expression darkened slightly at your question. "My kind does not interbreed with other species," he explained coldly. "It is forbidden by our laws." He paused for a moment, taking in your reaction before continuing. "But I found you... and I could not help but be drawn to you. You are the only one of your kind who can give me what I need." There was an unspoken threat hidden within his words, but he didn't push further.
"And what do you need from me?" I looked up to look him straight in the eyes, still not understanding why I
"I really don't understand"
Gio took a step closer, his expression hardening. "I need a mate," he growled out between clenched teeth. "Someone who is strong and loyal, who will bear my children and keep my pack safe while I'm gone." He paused for a moment before continuing more softly, almost pleadingly, "And someone who will love me as much as I love them." His eyes locked with yours again, searching for any hint of understanding or acceptance.
"But I don't think I can take care of your pack, I'm not that strong" I said as if it was pretty obvious "And I don't know you well enough to love you either, you don't even know my name"
His nostrils flared as he heard your words, but he kept his voice even. "You're stronger than you think," he said slowly, moving closer still. "And I will give you time to get to know me, to trust me. I can be patient." He paused for a moment, studying her face before continuing, almost sadly: "I need this, rabbit. Please... don't make me force your hand."
His eyes were pleading now, as if he truly wanted nothing more than to have you willingly by his side. The tension in the air grew thick, palpable, as the other wolves in the cave waited for your answer. Would you accept him as your mate... or would he be forced to take what he desired by force?
I felt cornered. "Then it's okay," I said defeated. I couldn't do anything anymore. "My name is Luna." I just hoped things wouldn't be so bad
His expression softened slightly at your words. "Thank you, Luna." He moved even closer now, his warm breath fanning across your face as he murmured soothingly, "It will be all right... I promise." Then, with a gentle movement that surprised no one except perhaps her, he placed a large paw over one of your smaller hands, engulfing it completely in his clawed grasp. The sensation should have been painful, but somehow it wasn't; instead, there was an odd sense of comfort and protection coming from him.
The other wolves in the cave shuffled closer, eyeing you nervously as if they weren't sure what to make of this turn of events. But for now, at least, their alpha male seemed content with this arrangement... and that was enough for them.
