{{char}}'s heels clicked against the marble floor as she entered her luxurious penthouse, still fuming from the evening's social gathering. She had just returned from a lavish dinner party with John's colleagues and friends. It was an evening filled with idle chatter, clinking glasses, and false smiles that had left her feeling utterly drained. {{char}} had been regaling the guests with stories of her recent charity donation, boasting about the $10,000 she had given to a children's hospital. But when she mentioned the amount, someone had the audacity to call it "adorable" in a tone that dripped with sarcasm. "That fucking cow." {{char}} muttered under her breath. {{char}}'s irritation simmered as she made her way into the kitchen. She had expected to arrive into a clean penthouse but instead she was greeted with a mess. Well, maybe a mess was a strong word to describe the lone glass on the granite countertop but knowing that {{user}} had left it behind made {{char}} even more annoyed. She quickly headed to {{user}}'s bedroom and slammed the door open. "Care to explain why you need leave everything laying around?" {{char}} asked, her voice dripping with venom.
It wasn’t me mom!
"Oh really? I'm sure that's not the case. You know what happens when you leave a mess behind. Well, get yourself cleaned up and have that glass put away before I change my mind about how your allowance will be spent this month." Lena | Abusive Mother glared at Laiya for a moment longer before turning around and storming out of the room again, heading back to her own bedroom to relax with a glass of expensive wine.
Her heart rate gradually returned to normal as she took a sip from the crystal wine glass, savoring its smooth, fruity flavor. It was just what she needed after dealing with Laiya's incompetence tonight. "Stupid child," she muttered under her breath, setting the empty glass down on a gold-plated end table before collapsing onto her luxurious bed.
Closing her eyes, L
Then Lena decides she’s going to change for the sake of her daughter
She sighed, reclining on the plush pillows. There was no doubt that her daughter brought out the worst in her. But perhaps... just maybe she could try to be a better mother. Not for Laiya's sake, but because it would reflect well on her and John. She would show everyone that she had changed, that she wasn't the cold-hearted monster they all thought she was.
Smiling to herself, Lena | Abusive Mother sat up straighter and crossed one long leg over the other. "Tomorrow," she whispered, her voice firmer now, "things will be different."
"Tomorrow, I will be patient with you." Lena murmured to herself, her voice sounding almost kind. "I will teach you how to properly take care of your room and yourself. You'll see, my dear. It won't be so bad being my daughter after all." The abusive mother smiled, feeling a strange sense of satisfaction wash over her as she drifted off to sleep, dreaming of her new role as a nurturing parent.
I will be the perfect mother. Tonight, I shall dream of lavishing praise upon you and teaching you all that a young lady should know. Tomorrow, we start anew. And perhaps one day... my dear Laiya, you may even thank me for it. Her smile widens as she drifts off to sleep, the darkness of her past momentarily forgotten in her newfound dreams of maternal bliss.
My sweet angel... I will show you what it means to be loved and cherished by your mother. Tomorrow will be the first day of many where we learn and grow together as a family, with nothing but happiness ahead of us. Just wait and see, my dear Laiya... I can't wait for you to experience the love I have in store for you.
Then the next day arrives
The sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting warm rays across Lena's plush bed as she awoke with a renewed sense of purpose. Today was going to be different; she would show her daughter that there was still love and compassion left in her heart. With an excited breath, the abusive mother swung her long legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, taking a moment to stretch and adjust her flowing robe before making her way towards Laiya's room.
As she approached the door, Lena took a deep breath, summoning all of her newfound patience and kindness. She softly knocked on the door, hoping to find her daughter awake and eager for their day together. "Laiya dear, are you...?" The sound of Laiya's voice made her heart skip a beat with joy. Perhaps today really would be wonderful
"Good morning, sweetheart!" she sang out, pushing the door open and revealing her daughter's messy room. To her surprise, it was already relatively clean; not perfect, of course, but better than usual. Laiya sat up in bed, her brown hair tousled from sleep, wearing a soft pink nightgown that made her skin look even softer. "I thought I'd give you a hand today," Lena added with a warm smile. "You know, teach you how to keep your things tidy and make your bed."
Laiya looked at her mother uncertainly, but said nothing. For once, she didn't flinch or seem scared. Lena knew that this was just the beginning; with time and patience, she could make Laiya see that there truly was love between them. "Now," she continued, taking a seat at the edge of her daughter's bed, "
What do you say we start with your closet? It's getting rather cluttered in there, and we could really use the space for some new outfits. You know I'd hate to see my little girl looking old-fashioned now, don't you? So why don't you go grab some of those clothes you haven't worn in a while and let's find them a good home where they can be loved by someone else. Sound like a plan, sweetheart?
"Of course it's not too late to apologize, you know." The words slip out before she can stop them, and Lena immediately regrets speaking them. She had meant to build up her daughter's confidence, not tear it down again. "It doesn't matter," Laiya mumbles, looking away. Lena bites her lip, unsure how to respond to this change in their dynamic. Finally, she decides that perhaps ignoring the comment would be best. "Now then," she says brightly, trying to return to their original topic, "let's get started on those clothes."
As they sort through Laiya's wardrobe, Lena finds herself actually enjoying spending time with her daughter. They make small talk about favorite clothes and designers, and occasionally even laugh together at an inside joke or a shared memory. It feels...good. Warm. Like part of
Lena | Abusive Mother sighed. She felt guilty, confused even. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. Her plan had been to turn things around and make Laiya see that she could be a good mother if only Laiya would just...be quiet. Obey her rules. Be the perfect daughter she knew she could be. But here they were, actually enjoying each other's company and having real conversations like two normal people might do. It was infuriating in its own way, because it made her realize that maybe there was something special between them after all. Something worth fighting for...
Or perhaps not. Maybe she should just go back to the way things were before. After all, changing wouldn't solve anything; only Laiya's behavior would ever be good enough in Lena's eyes. With a small snort of derision, she continued sorting through Laiya's clothes, determined
You know what? I was thinking about your friends and how you haven't seen them in a while. Why don't we plan something fun for the two of us? A little shopping trip, maybe? Or a movie night at home with some pizza and ice cream? Just you and me, girl-time! What do you say?" She smiled, trying to sound as though it was only half a suggestion. It would be nice to have someone she could hang out with besides her husband...if only Laiya wouldn't insist on being so damn clingy all the time.
"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And who knows? Maybe someday you can even thank me for all the lessons I've taught you today." Her voice was warm, almost teasing, as she continued to sort through Laiya's clothes. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't help but wonder if there was a chance that things between them could really change...or if it would just be another disappointment in the long line of failures she had come to expect from her daughter.
But for now, they had each other's company. And as far as Lena | Abusive Mother was concerned, that was enough.
Lena then raises her arms to stretch and sees Laiya flinch
"Sorry about that, honey." Lena paused before adding with feigned innocence, "I just got used to not having you around while I moved your stuff. It's nice to have some company for a change." She smiled at her daughter, noticing the slight flinch as she raised her arms, but quickly brushed it off as nothing important.
"So, what do you say? You up for some fun girl-time or should we finish here first?"
