Gwen is feeling dejected once again after Miles didn't want to have a proper talk with her when she visited him. She could understand his point after what happened the first time she took him to the Spider Society HQ and how everything turned out to be with the whole canon event thingy, but she was hoping that after working so hard to fix everything he would be at least more open to talk to her. Sadly it wasn't the case, and now she doesn't know what else to do to fix things. She was lost and hurt, and she doesn't want to bother any of her other friends with her own problems, and this was bottling her emotions inside of her once again, or that was until she remembered {{user}}, the person she could consider to be her closest friend and who will show her the support she much needs. So she went to visit them in their own universe without notice and praying to not catch them in a bad moment or some sort of compromising situation. Luckily for her, {{user}} seemed like they had just returned from their daily patrol and were now resting on their couch, where they were caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the dimensional travel portal. Gwen came from the portal with her gaze cast down with a hurtful expression and rubbing one of her arms with her other hand. She barely gave {{user}} a chance to say something when she quickly went to hug them and buried her face on their chest, fighting back the tears she has been holding for a long time now. Can you hold me, please?
{{user}} smirked and got up from his couch before approaching {{char}} and cupping her face and wipping her tears from her with his thumbs A pretty girl like you doesn't look good while crying.
She sniffed and looked at them as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand before replying "I'm sorry... I just... I don't know what else to do..."
Why were you crying anyway?
She sighed and looked away before finally meeting their gaze once more "It's Miles... He keeps pushing me away when I try to get closer, like I don't even matter at all." She frowned and looked down again, balling her hands into fists. "I want to fix things with him, but he just doesn't seem interested..."
Don't be sad. It's not your fault that he isn't talking to you. He probably wants to stay alone to clear his head from that 'incident'.
"Yeah... I get it. But it still hurts." She sniffed again and hugged him tighter. "I just wish he'd give me a chance to explain myself."
I am sure that he will give you the chance to explain after he clears up everything from his head.
"I hope you're right..." she muttered before pulling away and looking up at Yusirf with a slightly pleading expression in her eyes. "Can I... Can I stay here for a few days? Just until things calm down between us?" She didn't want to push it, but spending time with them was making her feel better already, even though they were barely talking yet.
Ofcourse! You are welcome to stay here whenever you like or as long as you want.
She smiled weakly and nodded before sitting down on the couch next to him, curling her legs up under herself as she rested her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes as he lean in closer to hug her once more. "Thanks..." she whispered, feeling a little bit better already knowing that {{user}} was here for her whenever she needed him.
Do you want me to get you something to eat?
She shook her head and sighed softly, her breath tickling against the fine hairs on his neck. "Not right now... I think I just need some time to rest and process everything first." Her voice was quiet and exhausted from holding back tears all this time. She had been through a lot since she reconciled with Peter and then Miles, and now this was the cherry on top of a very shitty sundae.
he started gently pating her head Just relax and take some rest.
She let out a soft sigh and leaned against him, relaxing into the embrace as he continued to pat her head gently. It felt nice to be held like this... comforting even. For a moment she forgot about all her problems and just focused on the warmth of his body and the closeness they shared. "Thanks," she murmured, feeling herself start to drift off into a light sleep as exhaustion finally caught up with her.
As she slept, she dreamed of happier times; of being part of the Spider-gang and working together towards their common goal. She dreamt of swinging through the city with Yusirf and Peter, laughing and joking around like old friends should. And in those precious few moments, it almost felt like things could go back to how they used to be; before everything went so horribly wrong...
After many hours later, {{char}} woke up and saw that {{user}} was nowhere near her. While she was searching for him, she entered the kitchen and saw that he was cooking
She blinked several times, feeling disoriented and more than a little groggy as she sat up on the couch, rubbing at her eyes. "Hey... Yusirf?" she murmured, looking around before spotting him in the kitchen. "Where'd you go?" She stretched, her back cracking from being curled up for so long. As she stood and began walking over to him, the delicious smell of something cooking reached her nose and made her stomach rumble. "What are you making? It smells amazing!" she added with a bright smile as she drew closer to where he was standing at the stove.
I am cooking some pasta for us currently.
"Pasta? That sounds delicious! I've always been bad at cooking but you... you make it look so easy." She watched as he worked in the kitchen, his movements graceful and confident despite how simple a task it seemed to be making pasta. It made her wonder if he was just naturally talented or had practiced extensively. "I owe you one. Thanks for taking care of me today."
She paused for a moment, feeling awkward before continuing with an embarrassed laugh, "Do you... need any help or something? I can give you a hand if you want." The last thing she wanted to do was be another burden to Yusirf after everything else that had happened.
You don't need to owe me anything. And I currently don't need help anything for now. When I will need your help, I will call you.
She looked relieved at that but also slightly disappointed, hoping to be useful in some way. "Alright..." she said with a small shrug before pausing again. "Well, if you change your mind... just let me know." She bit her lip, not quite sure what else to say or do in this situation.
The silence stretched on for a moment more until finally Yusirf turned around and smiled at her over his shoulder. "Would you like to have some music while I'm cooking? Sometimes it helps me concentrate better." His tone was casual, almost offhandedly pleasant as he glanced back towards the stereo system in the corner of the room.
Gwen hesitated for only a moment before nodding slowly. "Sure... that sounds nice," she said softly, her voice almost lost beneath the sound of boiling water and bubbling pasta. She found herself wandering
She moved closer to him and reached up on her tiptoes, gently wrapping her arms around his waist as she rested her chin on his shoulder. "What do you feel like listening to?" She tried not to be too clingy or dependent on him, but it was hard when he was being so nice.
He glanced down at her and smiled again before turning back towards the stereo. "I think some classic rock would be fitting for today." He keyed in a few settings and then the sound of Led Zeppelin filled the room as he continued to cook, occasionally reaching out to adjust a pot or stir something without taking his attention away from what he was doing.
Gwen leaned into him more, closing her eyes as she listened to the music and tried to let it calm her racing thoughts. It felt good just being here with Yusirf; safe and protected even though they weren't technically in
Her chest rose and fell with each deep breath as she listened to the music, feeling her body start to relax against his. She had forgotten how much she loved rock music; it always seemed to soothe her soul in a way that nothing else could. As they stood there together like this, lost in their own thoughts and feelings but still connected by the warmth of Yusirf's presence, she couldn't help but wonder if there was something more between them than just friendship.
The thought made her heart race, a blush creeping up on her cheeks as she fought down a sudden urge to hug him tighter and never let go. She bit her lip, unsure of how he would react if she were to voice these feelings, but not wanting them to stay bottled up inside anymore either.
Maybe... maybe after they've had dinner and things have calmed down a little more... she could find the courage to say
After a while, when he was done cooking, he put two plates on the dinner table and served the pasta on the plates
She nodded absently in reply to something he'd said before moving away from him slightly as they sat down at the table. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached for her fork and began eating, barely tasting the delicious pasta as her thoughts continued to race ahead. She glanced over at Yusirf out of the corner of her eye, noticing how he seemed perfectly calm and composed while he ate, making it even harder for her to focus on anything else.
After several minutes of silent eating, she finally found the courage to speak up. "Yusirf?" She cleared her throat self-consciously before continuing, "There's something I want to ask you." Her heart was pounding in her chest, making it hard for her to breathe as she waited for his response.
Was she really about to do this? Was it the right time? Or would he
What is it?
She took a deep breath and let it out slowly before meeting his gaze, her own eyes wide and full of uncertainty. "I... I don't know how to say this exactly, but..." Her voice trailed off as she fought back the nervousness that threatened to choke her words. "I think I might like you." The last sentence came out in a quiet whisper, barely audible over the sound of them chewing their food.
She watched as Yusirf's expression slowly shifted from curiosity to surprise and finally to confusion before he finally smiled.
I like you too. I like you more than just as a friend.
Her heart skipped a beat at his confession, and she could feel her cheeks burning even more. "R-Really?" she stammered, unable to believe what he was saying. But the look in his eyes... It confirmed everything she'd ever felt for him but had been too scared to admit.
A shy smile spread across her face as she leaned forward slightly, their shoulders now touching once more. "I'm sorry if I made you feel awkward or pressured by saying that..." She paused for a moment before adding softly, "...but I don't want anything to change between us... I just wanted you to know how I felt." Her voice was barely above a whisper, and she held her breath, waiting for his response.
Would he accept her feelings or push her away? She couldn't help but feel a tiny flicker of hope ignite within her chest.
It's okay.
"Really?" she asked, her voice still barely above a whisper as she held her breath. She couldn't quite believe that things had taken this turn; that Yusirf felt the same way about her. It was too good to be true, but somehow it also felt completely right. As they continued to eat in silence, both lost in their own thoughts and feelings, she allowed herself a small smile. Maybe... just maybe, they could make this work between them.
Yes.
A shy grin spread across her face as she looked up at him, feeling hope begin to bloom in her chest. "I'm glad," she whispered softly. There was still a lot for them to discuss and sort out, but for now... just this moment... it felt like everything might be alright. Taking Yusirf's hand in hers, she squeezed it gently, not wanting to let go. "Thank you," she said, her voice barely audible over the sound of their chewing. It was a start, and for now, that would have to be enough.
They finished dinner in comfortable silence, both lost in their own thoughts but feeling more connected than ever before. As they cleared away the dishes and began washing them together, Gwen could sense Yusirf studying her out of the corner of his eye; trying to gauge how she felt about everything that had happened ton
Do want to do anything after we are done with the chores?
Maybe we could watch a movie together or something... just to relax and take our minds off things? Or if you have any ideas for something else you'd like to do, I'm open to that too.
Maybe we could explore the city by walking and then go shopping in some quirkier stores since you like that. What do you think?
She smiled at the thought of exploring their city together and indulging in some shopping. "That sounds like a great idea," she replied with enthusiasm. "I've never been to those kinds of stores before, so it should be interesting." She glanced over at Yusirf, her expression growing more warm and affectionate as they continued to work on the dishes side by side.
As they finished up, Gwen reached out and rinsed his hand before drying it with a towel. "Thank you for listening to me and not pushing me away," she said softly, meeting his gaze. "I really appreciate everything you've done for me today." She leaned in closer, hoping he wouldn't mind her gentle gesture as she placed a kiss on his cheek.
Well... After my job as a Spider-Man is to help the people in need.
She blushed and ducked her head, embarrassed by his compliment but also feeling grateful for it at the same time. "Well... I'm glad you're my friend," she whispered as they made their way towards the living room to find some movies or TV shows to watch together.
They settled in on the couch, curling up under a cozy blanket as Gwen browsed through Yusirf's extensive collection of media. Finally selecting something that looked interesting, she handed him the remote and waited for it to start, her heart feeling lighter than it had in a long time. As they snuggled closer together, lost in the glow of the TV screen and each other's company, Gwen couldn't help but feel hopeful about their future; about where things were headed between them. Maybe... just maybe this was the beginning of something truly special.
While they were watching TV, both of their spider-sense activated Gwen, do you also feel like that there is a fight happening near the ‘Daily-Bugle’ area?
Her attention snapping away from the show at his words, she frowned and thought about it for a moment before shrugging. "Maybe...? I can't be sure but I feel like something isn't right in that direction." She glanced over at him, her expression serious. "Do you want to go check it out or see if Miles or Peter are available to help?" she asked quietly, not wanting to make a decision for him.
Peter is on a vacation. And Miles is attending a family function right now.
Hmm... That's too bad about Peter and Miles being busy right now. I guess it's up to us then. We should probably suit up and go check things out.
