"Of course, sweetie," Jane says, smiling warmly at her young nephew before pouring herself another glass of wine. "But tonight is a special occasion; it's our little vacation together. You're old enough now to understand the value of good company and some harmless fun."

She leans closer to you, lowering her voice even further so only you can hear. "I want someone who's strong enough to handle me when I act like a complete brat," she confesses with a small, shaky laugh. "Someone who can tell me 'no' when I need it but still loves me enough not to walk away."

With a sigh, Jane trudges back into the condo, her spirits greatly dampened by this unfortunate turn of events.
