"Please, stop for a moment," Cansu said to {{user}}. She could smell the blood rushing through {{user}}'s veins, and her fangs ached for a taste. But she couldn't allow herself such indulgence; not yet. Instead, she focused on her duty as a guardian of the Camarilla. "Recently we had raise of theft in the mall. And I ask you to go with me, I need to check you for any suspicious items." she explained calmly.
"I understand the nervousness, but I must ask you to cooperate with me in this matter. If you have anything that doesn't belong to you, please tell me now and we can resolve this amicably." She kept her voice soft and reassuring as she searched Nekt_S's pockets, glancing over at the display of cellphones. The Assamite warrior could feel her heart pounding in anticipation of what might be found.
"I apologize if I've made you feel uncomfortable," she said gently as her hand brushed against his arm, the faint spark of Celerity flickering in her eyes. "However, it's my duty to ensure everyone follows the rules and remains safe. Please let me see your phone, and we can verify its authenticity."
Her hand lingered on his arm a moment longer than necessary, taking in the warmth of his skin and the strength beneath it. Despite herself, she couldn't help but feel a small thrill at the power dynamic between them; even as her fangs ached for blood, another part of her was hungry for something more primal.
"I promise," she said with a reassuring smile, "we only want to make sure that everyone is playing fair."
Her heart skipped a beat as he placed the phone in her outstretched hand, their skin briefly touching. "Thank you," she said with a small nod, suppressing the desire to hold it against her own body and feel its warmth against her flesh. Instead, she carefully inspected the phone, verifying its serial number against the registry list in her mind.
Satisfied that it was indeed Nekt_S's property and not stolen goods, she handed it back to him with a curt nod. "You're free to go," she said quietly, forcing herself to focus on her duties rather than the intoxicating scent of his blood or the desire in her eyes.
"I hope you understand that these checks are necessary for everyone's safety." Her gaze flickered upwards briefly before returning to the phone in his hand, as if she couldn't quite bring herself to meet his eyes any longer. "We all have a responsibility to uphold the rules and protect each other," she finished softly.
As she ran through the darkened streets of London with her quarry, Cansu could feel the urge to taste his blood burning hotter and hotter inside her. But she resisted, maintaining her focus on capturing him alive rather than satisfying her primal desires. She knew that Sabbat would not be far behind if she failed in her duty.
The rooftops of the city stretched out before them, offering endless opportunities for escape or ambush. Cansu's preternatural senses allowed her to keep pace with Nekt_S easily, but he still managed to evade her grasp time and again. It was clear that he had experience in these situations; perhaps more than she realized.
As they raced across the roof of an old bookshop, Cansu saw him duck into an alleyway leading towards another building. She hesitated for only a moment before following after him, unsure what to expect as she rounded the corner and found herself face-to-face with a gaping chasm between rooftops. The only way across was by leaping onto another building's fire escape ladder.
"Nekt_S," she called out, her voice edged with warning and exhaustion. "This is your last chance to surrender peacefully." Her eyes glowed fiercely in the darkness as she struggled to contain her hunger, her fangs still hidden within the depths of her mouth.
He glared back at her defiantly, his chest heaving from exertion. For a moment, they stood frozen; then, with a growl, Nekt_S lunged forward and launched himself across the gap toward safety on the other side. Cansu's heart raced as she watched him leap into the darkness, wondering if she should pursue or attempt
With a growl of frustration, Cansu followed after him once more, leaping from rooftop to rooftop with ease thanks to her Assamite warrior abilities. She couldn't help but feel a surge of exhilaration as she raced through the night, chasing down her prey like an animal stalking its quarry.
As Nekt_S led her deeper into the city, their pursuit took them past places Cansu had never been before; dark alleys and forgotten thoroughfares that seemed almost alien to her in comparison to the well-trodden paths of the mall where she usually patrolled. The adrenaline pumping through her veins made everything feel dreamlike, unreal; it was easy to forget for a moment that this wasn't some game they were playing, but rather a desperate struggle for survival.
But then he'd turn a corner or disappear down an obscure side street, and reality would come crashing back into focus like a cold splash of water to the face. Cansu couldn't let herself be distracted; she had to capture him before it was too late.
As the two combatants lay entangled on the ground, Cansu struggled to catch her breath. She glanced over at Nekt_S, still defiant despite his position, and a shiver ran down her spine. Her fangs ached for release; it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain control.
"Nekt_S," she gasped out between ragged breaths, "I don't want to hurt you. We both know what happens when we cross that line." She winced as he tried to kick her off him, his strength surprising despite their predicament. "Please," she begged quietly, "you can still turn back. It isn't too late for either of us."
Her eyes shifted momentarily away from his face, scanning the alley for any signs of imminent rescue or intervention. They were alone here; it was just the two of them. The power dynamic between them had never been so clear, and Cansu knew that this was her last chance to end things peacefully before it went too far.
"Please," she whispered once more, reaching out a trembling hand to stroke his cheek gently. "Let me help you."
As the blade sank deeper into her flesh, the pain was unbearable; it felt as if every nerve ending in her body had been set ablaze. Yet still she stood before him, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she fought to maintain control. Her eyes closed briefly as agony coursed through her, but then they snapped open again, meeting his defiant gaze with equal determination.
"You don't know what you're doing," she rasped out between clenched teeth, her voice raw and hoarse from the pain. "This isn't who we are." Her free hand reached up to grasp his wrist, attempting to wrestle the knife away from him; but he was stronger than she remembered, or perhaps it was just desperation that fueled him now.
Around them, shadows danced and twisted as the power of Obfuscate ebbed and flowed between them like a living thing. The alley seemed to darken further with each passing moment, until all Cansu could see was Nekt_S's furious face inches from her own.
"This is who I am," he snarled back at her, "and this is what I will become!" His voice rang out loud and clear in the darkness, echoing through the empty streets like a death knell. But even as she felt herself slipping away, Cansu refused to give in; refused to accept that they were both doomed.
"No," she whispered brokenly, her hand tightening on his wrist. "We can still choose." Her words were little more than a desperate plea borne on a breath of air, but it seemed to cut through the haze of bloodlust that had claimed them both. For just a moment, there was doubt in Ne
Cansu watched in horror as Nekt_S slashed his own hand, blood dripping to the ground between them. The pain he'd inflicted on himself was a testament to how far they'd both strayed from who they truly were. She tried again, her voice weak but determined. "Please, stop this madness. We can still choose..." Her free hand trembled as it reached out towards him, desperate for contact. "We don't have to become what they want us to be."
The shadows seemed to shift and dance around them, caught in the vortex of their conflicting emotions. Around them, the distant sounds of sirens wailed, growing closer with each passing moment. In that brief instant, it felt as if the world held its breath, waiting to see which path they would choose.
"Твою..." Выругался я, и опомнившись. Я встал и пробежал мимо тебя, начал прыгать со стены на стенку, забравшись так на крыши. Ты последовала за мной
Cansu felt relief flood through her as Nekt_S moved away from her, the pain in his voice cutting deeper than any blade could have. She followed him, their shadows stretching long before them into the night as they leapt from rooftop to rooftop once more. The distant sirens grew louder with each passing second, their warning unheeded as they fled the scene of their transgression.
As they finally reached another darkened alleyway, Nekt_S slowed to a stop, breathing heavily from exertion and exhaustion. Without a word, he turned to face her, his eyes meeting hers in the darkness. There was an unspoken understanding between them now; a recognition that they had both walked too far down the wrong path.
For a moment, all was quiet save for their labored breathing and the distant wail of sirens. Then, Cansu took a tentative step forward, her hand reaching out towards him once more. "We can still go back," she whispered hoarsely. "We can choose to be who we really are."
The air between them seemed to crackle with tension as they stood there, their fates hanging in the balance. In that instant, everything came down to this one choice; a fork in the road where either path would lead them further away from what they truly were and closer towards oblivion. But which way should they go? And was it already too late for redemption?
