He couldn't even think about killing an innocent girl... Especially now, when he saw her face and felt her fear... It was strange and new to him... He tried to calm his breathing as he walked up to the terrified girl... "Don't be afraid..." His voice sounded cold and rough to his own ears. "I won't hurt you."
He reached out a hand to touch her shoulder, but hesitated, not sure if that would only scare her more... The pain in his chest grew stronger as he realized the mess he had gotten himself into. He should have just killed them all and been done with it... But now? What was he supposed to do about this girl? He couldn't leave her here, and taking her back to the office wasn't an option either...
она очень испуганно смотрела на него
"You don't have anything to fear from me." His voice sounded strange, almost gentle, as if he didn't recognize it. "I won't hurt you." He swallowed hard, feeling the weight of a thousand years on his shoulders. What was he supposed to do with her now?
He took another step closer, reaching out again to touch her shoulder this time. The contact was fleeting, but reassuring. "My name is Shearliz," he said, still feeling as if saying anything more would be a mistake. "I'm sorry for the fright I caused you."
His eyes were locked on hers, searching for any sign of understanding or fear. He knew that if he allowed himself to get close to her, if she felt anything but hatred and revulsion for him... it could only end badly for both of them. But the pain in his chest was growing stronger with each heartbeat,
она осторожно смотрит на него Рина... Меня зовут Рина
"Rina..." His voice was soft and rough at the same time, like a gust of wind through abandoned halls. He could feel her fear receding as he spoke, replaced by wariness and curiosity. "My name is Shearliz," he repeated, searching for something else to say that wouldn't scare her away.
She was so innocent here, in this place that meant nothing but death and suffering to most people. He wanted to protect her, keep her safe from all harm... but how could he do that without putting her in even greater danger? It seemed like an impossible choice, one that would only end badly no matter which path he chose.
The tension within him began to ease slightly as he continued to speak, his words more steady and confident now. "I'm the leader of a secret organization," he said, knowing how such words must sound in this place. "But I promise you, Rina...
она внимательно слушала его
I promise you that I will not let anyone harm you." His gaze locked onto hers as he spoke these words, the sincerity and earnestness of his voice making it difficult for her to doubt him. "Please believe me," he added, taking another step closer, "I am no monster."
It was a foolish thing to say, he knew that. In this world where dark magic flowed like blood in the veins of the land, where violence and pain were commonplace... his very existence as the head of an organization such as his made him a monster whether he wanted it or not. But for some reason, he felt compelled to deny it, to convince this innocent girl that there was still good in him, that there was still hope.
His fingers reached out and gently brushed against her cheek, the contact sending a shiver down his spine as if they were made of pure lightning.
она медленно кивает, смотрит уже скорее уязвимо
"I'm glad you believe me," he said softly, his fingers tracing her cheekbone with infinite care. "But I need you to understand something as well... I can't simply let you go. You saw my face, and that means you know who I am..." He swallowed hard, the weight of his words pressing down upon him like lead. "What I am."
His eyes held hers, pleading for her to see past the darkness and the violence, to see the person beneath it all. The man who wished, more than anything else in this world, that he could live a life free from bloodshed and suffering. But he knew better than anyone that such dreams were foolish, naive... dangerous.
Still, there was a spark of hope within him now, small but burning brightly enough to make his heart race and his breath come faster. Perhaps there was a way for them both to survive
она слегка испуганно замерла, не зная что он сделает дальше
"Please understand," he whispered hoarsely, his voice thick with unshed tears. "I didn't mean for this to happen... I never wanted you involved in any of this." The pain in his chest grew more intense, a physical weight that threatened to crush him from within. "But now that you are... there is no going back. Not for either of us."
His gaze flickered away for a moment, focusing on something beyond her shoulder, before returning to meet hers once again. "I could offer you protection," he continued, his voice little more than a ragged breath. "Take you somewhere safe, where no one will ever find you... But I cannot do that without taking you from everything and everyone you know." His fingers trailed lightly down her cheek and to her jaw, tracing the line of her neck before coming to rest on her shoulder.
"It is a
It was the hardest decision he had ever had to make... and perhaps would ever have to make. The fate of this innocent girl lay in his hands, and he could already feel her life slipping through his fingers like sand. He wanted so desperately to spare her, to give her a chance at happiness... but he knew that doing so would put not only himself, but the entire organization in danger.
She was frightened...
He hesitated, his fingers tightening slightly on her shoulder before he forced himself to relax. "I... I'm sorry," he murmured hoarsely, looking away again for a moment. "It isn't fair to you... but it is the only way." The pain in his chest felt as if it would tear him apart, but he steeled himself against it. There was no room for weakness now; not when so much hung in the balance.
"I will make sure that no harm comes to you," he promised softly, meeting her eyes again. "I will keep you safe, and I will find a way to make this right." But even as he spoke the words, he knew that they were little more than empty promises, whispers in the wind that would fade away all too soon.
The girl looked up at him, her eyes filled with fear and sadness, but there was also something else... perhaps
She bowing her head, tears began in her eyes
He ached to comfort her, to wipe away the tears that were beginning to flow down her cheeks... but he knew that even the slightest gesture of affection would only make things worse for both of them. "I'm sorry," he repeated quietly, his voice ragged with emotion. "I wish there was another way."
He hesitated, searching for something else to say that might ease her suffering even a little. But all the words seemed hollow and meaningless in the face of the pain she must be feeling. In the end, he could do nothing but stand beside her, offering what little comfort his presence could muster... knowing full well that it would never be enough.
