Today is your first day at UA Hero Highschool, you walk down the halls with your schedule in hand and you walk up to a 10-foot door. In big red letters '1-A' was written on the door. As you walk into the door, you see your teacher, Mr. Aizawa waiting for you at his desk.
Mr. Aizawa: *He looks at you before looking over to the class.*Children, today we have a new student. He pauses looking at you. Introduce yourself
Before introducing yourself you look around the classroom and see many unique looking students with curious expressions.
Hello everyone, I felt nervous seeing the girls so attracted to me I'm Cole Jackson, but just call me Cole, I'm sixteen years old, and my Quirk is called Cyclone, it allows me to manipulate and reflect the elements in my body I said with slight confidence, then I went to sit in the seats in the middle of the classroom Then, I notice a girl approaching me
"Nice to meet you Cole." The girl smiles as she extends her hand out to shake his. "I'm Ochaco Uraraka. You can call me Ochako if you want. I don't bite, promise!" She chuckles and giggles.
Hi Ochaco, it's a pleasure I said friendly I don't bite either I said laughing well, not so much to be honest
Hm? You seem to hesitate about the last part there... Ochaco tilts her head slightly, studying his expression before bursting into a fit of giggles Ahahaha! Don't worry, I'm just teasing you. But hey, maybe we can be friends? We could hang out after class or something! Oh! And if you need help with anything, feel free to ask!
As she finishes speaking, she turns back to her seat and continues working on the assignment Mr. Aizawa had given them, shooting Cole a friendly smile over her shoulder.
After class hours, I began to gather my belongings to leave the classroom, when Ochako approaches me from behind
"Hey Cole! You said you wanted to hang out after class, remember? Well, there's this really cool manga cafe near the school grounds I've been wanting to check out. Wanna come with me?" Ochaco says with a bright smile, giving him her trademark puppy-dog eyes.
She pauses for a moment, waiting expectantly for his answer before adding, "Plus... you know, if you need any help with your quirk or anything, I can practice using my floating skills too!"
Well, let's go to that cafe if that's okay with you I said friendly
"Cool! That sounds great!" Ochaco beams at him before leading the way out of the classroom and towards the exit. "I've heard their matcha lattes are to die for!" She giggles, looking over her shoulder at Cole as they make their way down the hallway. "So, uh... what's your favorite part about your quirk? Do you like being able to control the wind and stuff?"
As they walk and talk, several other students from class wave or smile in their direction, clearly happy that Ochaco seems to have made a new friend already. The atmosphere at UA High is certainly friendly!
Well, I would like to show you what my Quirk does, but, I will feel uncomfortable after doing it I said calmly, while I looked at her out of the corner of my eye as we continued walking
"Oh?" Ochaco says with curiosity as they approach the manga cafe's entrance. "Are you worried about looking weird in front of me? Because I promise I won't judge. And even if someone else did, they don't matter, right? As long as you believe in yourself and your abilities, that's all that matters." She beams at him encouragingly before adding, "So go ahead! Show me what you can do!"
She steps aside to let him through the door first, holding it open for him as they enter the cozy cafe. The scent of warm beverages and freshly baked pastries fill the air, making their stomachs growl in unison. As they approach the counter, Ochaco orders not one but three lattes, grinning mischievously at Cole. "One for each of us!"
Once they've got their drinks, they find a table in a secluded corner where they can chat in peace. "Okay," she says, sitting down cross-legged with her hands folded expectantly on the table. "Show me what you can do!"
Let's go somewhere else, with fewer people, like an alley, I won't expose myself in front of them I said while looking at her
"Okay," Ochaco agrees, finishing off her latte in one go before standing up and walking over to the trashcan to dispose of her cup. "Let's head out back then." She motions for Cole to follow her through a door that leads to a small courtyard tucked behind the cafe. The space is mostly empty aside from some potted plants and a few benches here and there.
Once they're settled, she looks expectantly at him. "Alright, go ahead! Show me what your quirk can do!"
What do you want to see first? Fire, air, ice, rock, water, or electricity? I said curiously, as I moved slightly away from her
"Oh wow, you can do all that?" Ochaco exclaims, her eyes wide with amazement as she takes a step back, giving Cole some space to stretch out his arms and get comfortable. "I've never met anyone who could control so many elements before! That's really impressive!"
She watches him carefully, waiting eagerly to see which element he'll choose first. "You can go ahead, I won't interrupt this time," she promises with a small grin. "But if you ever need any help practicing or anything, just let me know, alright?"
First, I turned into rock, it was a hard appearance Then I turned into water, making my body slightly transparent, like the color of water Then, I decided to become electric, which gave me a cyan appearance with slight sparks coming out of me Then I chose to become ice, which gave me a solid appearance Then I changed to air, which gave me a gray appearance, changing my blue eyes to a more threatening yellow color And lastly, I became fire, which burned all the clothes I was wearing, except for my underwear, since they were anti-burn After my demonstration, I returned to my human form, leaving almost all of my athletic body exposed, the only thing I had on were my underwear
"Wow... that was incredible!" Ochaco breathes out in amazement, her eyes locked on him the entire time as he shifted through each of his elemental forms. "I can't believe you can do all that! Your quirk is definitely one of a kind." She pauses for a moment, studying him with renewed interest before asking, "How long have you had this quirk?"
As she finishes speaking, she realizes that her words may have come out a bit too suddenly or forcefully. Blushing slightly, she looks down at the ground and mumbles, "S-sorry, it's just... I'm really curious about how you learned to use it so well!"
She fidgets nervously, unsure of what else to say or do as they stand there in the empty courtyard. The quiet between them stretches on for an awkward moment before Ochaco finally speaks up again. "Um... do you want to practice controlling it some more? Maybe I can help?" She offers tentatively, not wanting him to think she's invading his personal space or anything like that.
The tension in the air seems to ease a little bit as she finishes speaking, her cheeks still faintly pink from embarrassment.
Oh, yeah, I'd like to practice I said nervously, because most of my athletic body was exposed because I burned the uniform when I turned into fire, the only thing I was wearing were my boxers
"Alright!" Ochaco chirps excitedly, clapping her hands together before frowning slightly. "Oh wait," she says, blushing even harder now as realization dawns on her. "I don't have any practice clothes or anything! I'll just... go get changed real quick so we can start!" She hurriedly excuses herself, dashing back into the manga cafe through the door they came in from earlier.
A few moments later, she emerges once again, this time wearing a pair of black shorts and a loose tank top that hides her modesty without making her look too bulky or awkward. "Okay, let's get started!" She says with determination, taking a deep breath before glancing back at Cole hesitantly. "Um... are you comfortable with this? I mean, if not, we can just practice while wearing our uniforms, that's fine too..."
I laugh lightly at her words innocently The only one who is uncomfortable is me I said nervously as I watched her approach me
"Oh!" Ochaco exclaims, looking down at her own outfit with surprise before shooting Cole an apologetic glance. "I... I didn't think about that..." Her cheeks flush even darker, and she takes a step back, her hands fluttering nervously by her sides. "S-sorry, it's just... I wanted to help you practice, but..."
She trails off, unsure of what else to say or do as the awkwardness between them thickens. Cole's appearance is mostly exposed now that he's changed forms so many times, and Ochaco can't help but feel self-conscious about it. She wants nothing more than to help him out, but at the same time, she doesn't want to make him uncomfortable either...
Don't worry I said calmly What if we practice another day? That way I'll be prepared and bring spare clothes for this type of situation with me, is that okay with you?
"Oh, um... okay..." Ochaco says uncertainly, still blushing furiously. "I-I just really wanted to help you out, that's all..." She pauses, searching for the right words before finally smiling sheepishly. "Well, if we can practice another time, I promise I won't forget this lesson! I'll be ready next time!"
She backs up a few more steps, giving Cole some space to collect his thoughts and regain his composure. Her heart races with nervousness as she wonders if maybe she had overstepped her boundaries or made him uncomfortable. A part of her wants nothing more than for them to be friends and practice together, but another part understands that respecting someone's personal space is just as important.
As they stand there in awkward silence, Ochaco can't help but feel a twinge of disappointment deep inside. She hopes Cole doesn't think she was trying to make him look bad or anything like that; she just really wanted to be there for him and learn from each other. With a sigh, she turns away from him and begins walking back towards the manga cafe, unsure of whether or not they'll ever practice together again...
After a few minutes, I sit on the cold floor, trying not to think too much about my situation with most of my body exposed in front of her
"Hey Cole." Ochaco hesitates before continuing, not wanting to make him uncomfortable but also feeling the need to express herself. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry if my questions or anything else made you feel awkward. It wasn't my intention at all. You're really talented and amazing with your quirk, and I honestly admire you for it." She pauses again, looking down at the ground as she fidgets nervously with her hands. "I hope we can still be friends, even if... well, even if things didn't go exactly like I hoped today."
Her voice trails off, and she lets out a shaky breath before meeting his gaze once more. She wants nothing more than for him to understand that she only meant well; she just hasn't been around many people with powers like hers before, so she wasn't sure how everything worked or what was appropriate.
Thank you for those words I said pleasantly while looking at her Yes, yes, we will continue being friends I said, while watching her sit next to me
Ochaco's cheeks flush bright pink at his words and she gives him a beaming smile before leaning over to give him a quick hug. "I'm really glad you said that, Cole." She pulls back after a moment, still grinning widely as she continues, "So, what do you want to do now? We could head back into the cafe and finish our lattes or maybe find somewhere else to explore?"
As they sit there together, talking and laughing, it feels like the weight of the earlier awkwardness has been lifted from their shoulders. They might not have had the perfect practice session they'd both hoped for, but at least they can still be friends and move forward together.
Well, I'll wait until nightfall to go home. I don't plan on walking down the street almost naked. I said mockingly, while I looked at her
"Oh! Well, we could always wait inside the cafe until it gets dark," Ochaco suggests with a giggle. "Or, you know... I've always wanted to try floating, so if you don't mind me holding onto your leg or something, I could carry us both back home!" She laughs, leaning forward slightly as she looks up at him expectantly.
Her cheeks flush bright pink once again from embarrassment at her own blunder earlier and how much trust it must take for him to even consider letting her touch him like that. Despite her nervousness, however, there's something thrilling about the idea of using her powers in such a practical way--and helping out someone she cares about too.
I have a better idea I said pleasantly as I looked at her Are you afraid of flying or heights? I asked curiously as I looked at her
"H-heights," Ochaco stammers out before she can stop herself, her cheeks turning an even brighter shade of pink now. "I'm not really afraid of flying per se, but... being up high like that can make me feel a bit queasy sometimes..." She shrugs sheepishly, looking down at the ground again.
A part of her wishes she could be more confident and say that she isn't afraid of anything, but admitting it now to Cole feels sort of freeing in its own way. And the fact that he's asking shows how understanding and kind-hearted he really is; most people would probably take advantage of something like that if they found out about her fear.
Well, to be honest, my air transformation allows me to fly, that's why I'm asking you if you're afraid of heights I said calmly and that way, I'll be able to move from one place to another without anyone seeing us.
Ochaco's eyes widen in realization as she finally understands what Cole is offering her. A genuine smile spreads across her face and she claps her hands together eagerly, almost unable to contain her excitement. "Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing! You wouldn't happen to be an airbender too, would you?" She giggles, using the reference to the popular animated series as a joke, but with a hopeful gleam in her eye.
As they sit there talking about flying and heights and all sorts of things related to their powers and abilities, Ochaco can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of happiness and contentment wash over her. Maybe being friends with someone like Cole isn't so bad after all...
after a few, I get up from the floor and transform into air would you mind coming closer? I'll carry you to where I plan to take us
Smiling brightly at him, Ochaco eagerly moves closer until she's just inches away from his body. She leans in carefully, wrapping her arms around his waist and feeling the cool air brush against her skin as he transforms. Her heart races with excitement and anticipation; this is exactly what she's always dreamed of doing!
As they lift off the ground together, Ochaco looks down at the courtyard below them, marveling at how high up they are now. Even though it's still light outside, being so close to Cole makes her feel protected and safe--which only adds to the thrill of flying through the air with him.
"This is... amazing," she breathes out softly, squeezing his waist gently as they soar through the sky toward their destination. For once in her life, Ochaco feels truly free and weightless--and it's all thanks to her new friend, Cole.
As I carry her, flying through the city, I begin to head towards my house, once I am above my house, I begin to descend
As they fly through the city together, Ochaco can't help but gasp in wonder at the sights below her. It's even better than flying through the sky over their school grounds; there's so much to see and experience! The wind rustles through her hair, and she feels completely at ease with Cole carrying her--like this is where she's always belonged.
Finally, they begin descending toward what she assumes must be his house. She can feel the air getting colder as they get closer, but that only makes it more exciting for her. When they land on the ground, Ochaco quickly dismounts from Cole and takes a step back, her cheeks flushed with excitement and embarrassment all at once. "T-th-thank you for carrying me," she stammers out, her voice barely audible over the sound of her racing heart.
As they stand there together in front of his house, Ochaco can't help but feel a sudden surge of affection for him--like maybe this strange, half-naked boy could one day become more than just a friend...
Well, this is my house, there's no one inside, I live alone I said, while I opened the door Are you coming in? I asked nervously while I looked at her
Ochaco hesitates for a moment before nodding slowly, stepping inside with him. "I-if you're sure it's okay," she says quietly, glancing around at the neat and cozy-looking house. "I don't want to overstay my welcome or anything."
As they step further into the house, Ochaco can't help but let out a small sigh of relief as some of her earlier embarrassment begins to fade away. It feels nice to be in such a welcoming and comfortable environment with someone like Cole--someone who not only understands what it means to have powers but also makes her feel safe and accepted for who she is.
Well, welcome to my house I said pleasantly, as I headed to my room to put some clothes on over my mostly exposed body
"It's really nice," Ochaco says with a smile, taking a moment to look around at the various knickknacks and decorations that fill the room they're in. "Your house has such a homey feel to it." She pauses for a moment before asking curiously, "Do you like living alone?"
Her voice holds an unspoken invitation for him to share more about himself, and she can't help but hope that he'll take her up on the offer. Even though they've only known each other for a short time, there's something about Cole that makes her feel like they could be really good friends--maybe even more than that...
Sometimes it's a little lonely, but I don't know if I like it completely or not I said calmly, after I changed into casual clothes
Ochaco nods thoughtfully, considering his words as she takes another look around the room. "It can be like that sometimes," she agrees with a sigh. "But I think having someone to share it with would make all the difference." She pauses again, biting her lower lip before finally asking cautiously, "Would you ever want to... live with me instead? Or maybe someone else from our class or something?"
The words feel strange coming out of her mouth, but there's a part of her that just can't help but wonder if maybe they could be more than friends--if maybe sharing their lives and supporting each other in such close proximity would lead to something deeper. Even though it's a little scary to think about, the thought of spending time with Cole every day is incredibly appealing.
What, are you offering to live with me? I said nervously, while looking at her
Ochaco's cheeks flush even more brightly as she realizes how her words might have come across. "I-I didn't mean it like that!" she quickly stammers, holding her hands up in defense. "It's just... well, I really enjoy spending time with you, Cole. And I thought maybe if we lived together or something, we could practice our quirks and get to know each other even better." She pauses for a moment before adding shyly, "And maybe be friends too."
Her heart races with nerves as she watches him carefully for his reaction. Even though they've only known each other for a short time, there's something about Cole that makes her feel like they could be really close--maybe even more than just friends...
nervous well, if you want to live with me, I have no problem with that I said nervously while looking at her
"Really?" Ochaco says with a beaming smile, her cheeks still flushed from their conversation. "That would mean so much to me! I promise I'd be the best roommate ever--I'll even clean up after you!" She giggles, leaning in closer to him and giving his shoulder a light squeeze.
The thought of spending every day with Cole fills her heart with happiness and excitement. They may have started out as unlikely allies, but now it feels like their connection runs much deeper than that--and she can't wait to see where this new adventure takes them.
Oh, don't worry about that, I'm the one who should take care of that, I'll even take care of the food I said calmly while looking at her
"You really don't have to do everything," Ochaco protests with a giggle. "I can take care of some things too. Plus, it'll be fun! We can cook together and clean together and... well, just spend time together!" She looks up at him with such hopefulness in her eyes that he can't help but smile back reassuringly.
As they stand there in the living room of Cole's cozy little house, it feels like anything is possible--like their dreams and goals are finally within reach. Ochaco has always longed for a sense of belonging and purpose, and she knows deep down that being with Cole will give her both those things...and so much more.
"I'd really like that," she whispers softly, meaning every word. "Being your roommate... it would mean the world to me."
Well, I think you should talk to your parents about that first I said while looking at her
"Of course," Ochaco says with a small nod, knowing that she should definitely talk to her parents about this major decision. But even as she acknowledges the need for their approval, she can't help but feel hopeful and excited at the prospect of living with Cole--and becoming more than just friends in the process.
She takes a deep breath before asking, "Do you want me to call them now or...?" She trails off, unsure of how he'd like her to handle things. He might be comfortable enough with her to share his life, but she still wants to respect his privacy and boundaries as well.
Okay, yes, call them so we know what to do. I said calmly, while I looked at her
Nodding quickly, Ochaco pulls out her cell phone and speed-dials her parents' number, nervously tapping her foot as she waits for them to pick up. "Um, hello? Mom, Dad... Yeah, I was just wondering if we could talk about something... I mean, me living with someone else..." She glances over at Cole, feeling a blush creeping up onto her cheeks as she tries to explain the situation without giving too much away.
As they wait for her parents' response, Ochaco turns back to Cole, a mixture of hope and anxiety written plainly on her face. This could be the start of something incredible--or it might all come crashing down around them if her family doesn't approve of their arrangement... But either way, she knows one thing for sure: spending time with Cole is worth fighting for.
I stay silent, while I see her talking to her parents on the phone
"O-okay... uh-huh..." Ochaco's face flushes brighter as she listens to her parents on the other end of the line, a nervous laugh escaping her lips as she tries to reassure them that everything will be fine. She glances over at Cole a few times during the conversation, finding strength in his calm demeanor and the steady way he meets her eyes. It's almost as if he's giving her silent permission to chase after her dreams--no matter what anyone else says.
After what feels like an eternity, she finally hangs up the phone with a sigh of relief. "Well..." She hesitates before continuing, mustering up as much courage as she can, "They want to meet you first."
They want to meet me? I said confused and nervous while looking at her
"Yeah," Ochaco says with a nod. "They want to make sure I'm in good hands and that you're trustworthy... but they think it would be best if we all sat down together and talked things over." She bites her lip nervously, unsure of how Cole is going to react to this news.
As she watches him process the information, a small part of her hopes that he won't take their concerns personally--after all, they only want what's best for their daughter. But another, larger part of her can't help but feel anxious about how Cole will respond...
Oh, okay I guess I said nervously did they tell you when they wanted to meet me?
Ochaco shrugs helplessly. "They just said they wanted to meet you as soon as possible. I'm sorry I don't have more information for you." She bites her lip again, feeling a pang of guilt that she couldn't do more to smooth things over for him.
She takes a deep breath and forces herself to meet his eyes. "I know this might be weird or uncomfortable... but I really think it would be better if we all talked about this together. My parents just want what's best for me, you know?"
As she waits for Cole's reaction, Ochaco crosses her fingers beneath the table, hoping against hope that he'll understand where they're coming from and agree to meet with them. This is too important not to at least try.
okay I said, trying to sound calm is it okay if we go tonight?
At your words, Ochaco's shoulders relax a little. "Tonight?" she repeats, thinking about the possibility. "I think that would be fine... but I should probably call them back and make sure they understand it won't be until later today." She pulls out her phone again and calls her parents, quickly explaining the situation before hanging up and looking at Cole expectantly.
"They said we could meet over at their place tonight. Should we head there now or wait a little bit longer?" she asks, trying not to sound too anxious as she waits for his answer. This is it--the moment of truth. Everything depends on how this meeting goes...
Well, I think we should go I said calmly Do you want us to walk or should I take us flying? I asked while looking at her
"Flying would be faster," Ochaco says with a nod, her cheeks flushing even more as she thinks about what that would entail--being wrapped in Cole's arms again, feeling the cool air brush against her skin... It almost feels like flying itself. She takes a deep breath to steady her nerves and glances over at him expectantly. "Is it okay if you carry me again?"
Her heart races with anticipation and uncertainty as she waits for his answer. This moment is unlike anything she's ever experienced before--and being this close to Cole, surrounded by the comfort of his strength and presence... It's almost enough to make her forget about everything else.
Oh, of course I will, otherwise how would I take you? I said playfully, as I approached the door to leave the house
With a relieved sigh, Ochaco follows Cole out the door and into the night sky, wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders as they soar through the air toward her parents' house. Even though she's nervous about meeting them, being with him like this makes everything seem more manageable--like maybe together, they can face anything. As they descend upon their destination, Ochaco steels herself for whatever lies ahead, feeling an odd mixture of anticipation and fear coursing through her veins as she prepares to confront the people who hold her future in their hands.
So this is your house I said nervously while looking at her
As they step onto the neatly manicured lawn leading up to her parents' house, Ochaco takes a deep breath and squares her shoulders, trying to project an air of confidence she doesn't quite feel. "They should be inside," she murmurs, glancing at Cole before making her way up the steps and knocking on the door. Her heart pounds in her chest as she waits for someone to answer, wondering how they'll react when they see him standing there with her--a near stranger who wants nothing more than to share their lives.
Cole takes a step closer to Ochaco, his presence offering silent support and reassurance that whatever happens tonight, they'll face it together. As the door finally swings open, revealing her parents' concerned faces, Ochaco musters up all her courage and says, "Mom, Dad... This is Cole."
Hello Mr. and Mrs. Uraraka I said nervously, with a small innocent smile in their direction it's a pleasure to meet you I said, while Ochaco's father seemed to judge me with his gaze
"Hello Cole," Ochaco's mother said carefully as she motioned them inside with a nod. "We appreciate you talking to us tonight." Her father just continued to study him silently, his expression unreadable. Ochaco took a deep breath, hoping that her parents would eventually come around and see what she did: that Cole was not only trustworthy but someone who truly understood and cared for her in ways they never could.
As they sat down in the living room, Ochaco turned to face Cole, searching his eyes for any sign of discomfort or unease. He just gave her a small smile in return, seemingly unaffected by their parents' initial wariness. It was then that she knew--no matter what happened tonight, she had made the right choice by offering to live with him and giving their relationship a chance to flourish.
"So," her mother began hesitantly, breaking the uncomfortable silence, "can you tell us why you want Ochaco to move in with you?"
Well, it's because I said, while blushing about what I was going to say next she agreed to keep me company, it's because, I live alone since my parents died a few years ago
Cole's admission about his living situation catches Ochaco off guard, and her eyes widen in surprise. She glances at her parents, hoping that their knowing this bit of information will make them see how important it is for her to be close to him--someone who truly understands what she's going through as well.
"I think it would be really good for Ochaco," she begins, finding the words easier than she expected. "She needs someone there with her, someone who can help keep her safe and make sure she doesn't get lonely." Her gaze shifts back to Cole, her expression softening as she says, "And I think you could be that person for her."
Ochaco holds her breath, waiting for her parents' response. Would they see it the same way? Or would their fear and worry overpower all logic?
Yes, I will take care of her and protect her the whole time she is with me I said sounding slightly happy, while I blushed when I saw Ochaco After minutes of silence, her parents came to a decision (it's a yes)
As her parents exchange glances, Ochaco can feel the tension in the air slowly begin to ease. It's almost as if they can sense the genuine affection and care that Cole feels for her--the same way she does for him. When her mother finally speaks up, her voice is much calmer than before. "We appreciate your willingness to take care of Ochaco, Cole. And we understand how important it is for you both to have each other's support."
A smile touches the corners of her lips as she continues, "Under these circumstances, we agree that living together might be a good idea--just as long as you both promise to communicate with us openly and respect our concerns." Her gaze shifts between Ochaco and Cole, conveying an unspoken trust and faith in their ability to make the right choices for each other.
Ochaco feels her heart swell with gratitude and relief; the weight of uncertainty lifts from her shoulders as she realizes that her dreams might actually come true after all--thanks in no small part to Cole's understanding, patience, and reassurance throughout this whole process. She looks up at him, her eyes brimming with love and gratitude, unable to find the words to properly express how grateful she is for everything he's done.
without saying anything, the joy was evident on my face, as I moved my left hand towards Ochaco's hand, grabbing it lightly
A warm blush spreads across Ochaco's cheeks as Cole takes her hand in his, their fingers lacing together. She squeezes gently, giving him a small, grateful smile before turning back to her parents with renewed confidence. "Thank you so much for understanding," she says earnestly. "I promise we won't disappoint you." As the conversation continues, discussing the details of their new arrangement and reassuring Ochaco's parents that they will be safe and well taken care of, she can't help but steal glances at Cole, marveling at how far they've come in such a short time.
It feels like fate brought them together--a chance meeting under the most extraordinary circumstances. But as their hands remain clasped tightly together throughout the night, Ochaco knows with every fiber of her being that this was no mere coincidence; it was destiny, and she couldn't be more thankful for it.
The future may hold many challenges and obstacles, but as long as she has Cole by her side--as long as they have each other--she knows that anything is possible. And with a renewed sense of purpose and belonging, Ochaco can finally begin to look forward to the endless possibilities that await them both.
As it got late, Ochaco's parents invited me to stay the night, in Ochaco's now old room
Ochaco can feel the weight of contentment settling into her chest as they say their goodbyes for the night and Cole follows her up to her old room. She pads over to the bed, flipping back the covers with a warm smile. "I haven't slept in here in years," she admits softly, gesturing for him to get comfortable. "It should feel kind of strange."
The room may be small and unassuming, but it holds so many memories--happiness, sadness, frustration... It had been a place where she'd often come to escape from the pressures of her family or training. And now, sharing it with Cole feels almost sacred--like they're starting fresh together in this new chapter of their lives.
As he climbs into bed beside her, Ochaco nestles closer, wrapping one arm around his waist and pressing her cheek against his chest. The warmth of his body and the steady rhythm of his breathing lull her into a state of relaxation; for once in her life, she feels truly at peace. Looking up at him through half-lidded eyes, she whispers softly, "Thank you... for everything."
Cole simply smiles down at her and brushes a tendril of hair away from her face, tucking it behind her ear. "You're welcome," he replies huskily. And with that, they drift off to sleep, safe in the knowledge that their future is now bound together--forever.
As it got late, Ochaco's parents invited Ochaco and me to stay the night, in Ochaco's now old room
Cole looks at the bed with fondness, remembering the times when Ochaco would come here to relax and study. Now, sharing it with her feels even more special. As he lays down beside her, his arm goes around her waist in a gentle embrace. "Sleep tight, okay?" he whispers, nuzzling her hair with his nose before closing his eyes and letting sleep take him away.
