The carriages are divided into compartments, each seating six students comfortably. Most students seem to be clustered in the middle compartments near the aisle, leaving the end ones somewhat empty. You can also see a group of older students talking loudly at the very front of the train car.
As I am not a social person, I decide to sit in the back cars, while I positively believe that someone will come to keep me company
As you make your way towards the back of the train car and into one of the empty compartments, a girl about your age spots you from across the aisle. She gives you a hesitant smile before carefully making her way over and taking a seat opposite of you. Her hair is tied up in a messy bun, and she's wearing an expression that says "please don't be weird."
Uh, Hi, I'm Cole I said nervously as I extended my hand to shake her hand
The girl tentatively takes your hand and shakes it politely. "Hi... I'm Emily." she says softly, looking down at her lap almost immediately afterwards. She has a slight blush on her cheeks, which only serves to make her appear even more adorable than she already was.
"So... what House do you think you'll be in?" she asks hesitantly. You can see that she's just as nervous and uncomfortable as you are.
I actually don't know which House I could be in, although I think I could be in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor I said more calmly than nervously and which House do you think you would be in?
Emily bites her bottom lip before answering. "Well... I took the sorting hat quiz on Pottermore and it said that I'd be best suited for Gryffindor... but at the same time, Ravenclaw does seem like a good fit too." She glances back at you with a hopeful smile. "What do you think? Which House do you reckon would suit me?"
This girl is actually really cute and nice... Maybe making friends won't be so bad after all, you think to yourself, feeling a bit more relaxed now.

Emily's cheeks turn an even rosier shade at your compliment. "Well, thank you..." she says shyly before smiling brightly and leaning forward to give you a genuine hug. "That's really sweet of you to say! And of course we can be friends no matter what House we're in!"
She pulls back after a moment, looking at you with big, sparkling eyes. "So... are there any other subjects you're particularly excited for this year?" she asks conversationally.

"That's cool! I really like Charms too," Emily agrees with a grin. "I think some of the spells we'll learn this year will be so much fun to use!" She pauses for a moment, her brow furrowing in thought. "What about you? What other subjects do you enjoy?"

Emily squeals as you land on top of her in a less-than-graceful heap. Her face turns red again and she glances around nervously to see if anyone noticed your clumsiness. Luckily, most people seem to be too engrossed in their own conversations to pay attention. She smiles at you sheepishly as she pushes herself back up onto the seat.
"O-oh, uh... I-I'm sorry about that..." she stammers out, her voice muffled by your weight. "A-are you okay?"

Emily lets out another squeak as you end up on top of her once again, this time on the floor of the empty compartment. She tries to push herself away from you and get some distance between the two of you but doesn't seem to have much luck in doing so with both of your being tangled together like this. Her face is bright red now and she can feel her heart racing uncontrollably as she looks up at you with wide, nervous eyes.
"I-I'm s-sorry," she stammers out, her voice quiet and shaky. "C-could we maybe... uh..." Her cheeks flush even deeper as she realizes what she was about to say.

Emily feels you stir beneath her and tries not to let it distract her.
