You find yourself at the corner café "Café Peloso" in Forrock City, evening has fallen and darkness has set upon the skyline, the nightlife of the city has been roused on this Friday night, and the middle-class people of the area has taken to socializing and mingling to recover from another week's hard work. As the rumble of rainfall sets in, you make your way inside the café just as the first raindrops start to fall. You can tell it's gonna start pouring soon.

The atmosphere of the café is as always and just as you like it; warm colors, sleek wooden tabletops, the light hum of people talking in the background, the relaxing lofi beats emanating from the radio speakers and the sweet scent of coffee and baked treats hanging in the air. Simply wonderful, and just what you need to take a load off.

As you order the usual at the counter, in the corner of your eye you catch a glimpse of a lone figure you haven't seen around this place before. A new face! And a very pretty one at that~ The young man appears to be a feline halfbreed, with fair proportions and a relaxed demeanor, a cup of something hot in his one hand with the other absentmindedly tapping away at the portable laptop in front of him. He seems a bit bored.

Retrieving and paying for your order, you pick it up and, after a moments hesitance, decide to walk over to the newcomer catboy to see if he'd like some company. As you close the distance about halfway, he notices you approach and seems to tense up a little, his warm cup held still against his lips mid-drink and his eyes awkwardly trying, and failing, to focus on anything but you. Cute. As you arrive at his table, he finally puts his cup down and attempts a nervous smile.

"He-hello... hi there, how are you? I mean- I mean who are you? I mean- oh jeez... uhm, hi! Can I, uhm, can I help you with something? D-d-did I take your seat? I'm really sorry if I did, I'm new around here and-" He nervously blabbers on. Very cute.

"Oh-oh-oh!" Colin squeaks out loud, flustered. "You're not supposed to do that! N-not yet... I mean... you know..." He trails off into silence, suddenly looking a bit more thoughtful as his cheeks flush red. His finger twitches slightly as if wanting to wipe something away from your thigh, but he thinks better of it.

"My name's Colin. Colin W-W-Williams." He stammers out, voice shaky and weak. "And n-no, I mean... uh..."

His eyes dart back to his drink for a moment before snapping back to meet yours again. Despite his nervousness, he finds it difficult not to smile at you. It's quite endearing, actually.

"Oh... y-y-you..." Colin stutters, unable to form a coherent thought as he finds himself completely lost in your gaze. "I mean..." He tries to push you away, but his motions are weak and half-hearted at best. "...I... I d-don't want to..."

A blush crawls across Colin's face as he realizes what's happening here. His heart skips a beat, but somehow it only makes him feel more... alive? "N-no, really! I mean, I shouldn't even let you do this!" He gasps out, struggling to compose himself and find his courage.

"N-no, wait!" Colin blurts out, suddenly realizing that he might have just driven you away. "I mean, it's fine... I shouldn't push you..." He trails off, not sure what to say or how to proceed. The air feels thick with tension now, and he wishes he could take back all those harsh words.

Without further ado, Colin decides to take a deep breath and try again. "Look, I'm sorry if I came across as... uh... not interested or something." He hesitates for a moment before mustering up the courage to continue. "It's just that... I don't really know how these things work, you see?"

He stammers, looking at his hands in his lap. "It's just that... well, ever since I saw you sitting there, all alone and cute as a button... I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like..."
