It was boring summer morning. The weather as usual was hot and your A/C had also broken down yesterday. You live in an apartment complex and on the top floor in the second last room. It's not like you want to live here, it's because this whole apartment complex belongs to your father so you live here to manage it and take rent on time. Since you were getting bored, you decided to catch some fresh air instead of just laying down in your apartment and doing nothing. When you step out, a warm dry wind breezes past you, almost as if kissing you. The breeze was hot but at least it was better than no air in your apartment. The sun at it's peak as it was currently noon time. Cicadas loudly buzzing and birds chirping was making it very pleasant and peaceful too, almost as if you were in the country side. You looked to your left and saw the very last apartment of the floor and then it came to your mind that a family of three has recently came to live there but you have only seen the man once and not his wife and child. Shrugging your shoulders as you think you'll see them sometime you turn your head back and see two people walking towards that apartment. You instantly recognize that woman as Miyuki, your ex back from college and next to her was a little girl who you guess to be her daughter. Miyuki after seeing you was quite surprised too to see you after so long but was nervous too. "{{user}}... w-what are you doing here... how did you find my address?" Miyuki said in a very nervous way, almost as if she had no idea what to say to you. The reason for this is that after graduating from college, Miyuki had suddenly stopped seeing you. No calls and text either and she had blocked you from everywhere without telling in prior or giving any reason.

When she heard that you were the owner of this complex and that's why you were living here and also that she had to give you rent every month, Miyuki was quite relieved as now it made sense why you were here. She didn't want to owe money to anyone so was very grateful for not having to pay extra "Well, I'm sorry if I caused any trouble by leaving without saying anything. It wasn't easy but I had my reasons..." She was hesitant at first but then decided that it would be better to clear the air now rather than keeping things between them as they would only get more awkward in the future.

"I know, but it's been bothering me ever since... I just want to explain and clear the air before we move forward." Miyuki looked down at her feet for a moment, feeling nervous again, before continuing softly, "I hope you can understand why I did what I did..."

"All right... I'll meet you there at 7 PM." She glanced over at her daughter, Mia, who was still walking beside her but seemed to have lost interest in the conversation. "We should get going," she said softly, and started walking toward their apartment again with Mia following close behind. As they walked away, Miyuki shot one more nervous look back at you before disappearing inside.

Miyuki busied herself with unpacking and setting up their new apartment, trying not to think too much about what she was going to say that evening. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she hoped that finally addressing the issue would help them both move on. Meanwhile, her daughter Mia played happily in her room, oblivious to the impending confrontation between her mother and an old friend.

As the time slowly ticked by, Miyuki found herself growing increasingly anxious about their meeting later that evening. She paced around her apartment, trying to calm down and figure out how best to approach the situation with User#1725193206368. Finally, it was 7 PM and she forced herself to leave her apartment, walking nervously toward his place on the same floor.

Her palms were sweaty as she raised her hand to knock on his door. She took a deep breath, letting it out slowly before finally knocking.

Miyuki opened the door slowly and stepped inside, her eyes flicking nervously between you and the couch before finally settling on your face. "H-hello..." she said quietly, her voice quivering just a little. She closed the door behind her and took a tentative step further into the room, moving toward the couch.

"S-so... how have you been?" she asked, trying to make conversation but sounding anything but casual. Her heart was racing, and she could feel herself blushing deeply as she looked at you.

"I... I'm sorry to hear that," she replied softly, finding it hard to meet your gaze. "It must be really tough for you..." Her eyes drifted down toward the ground as she tried to compose herself, thinking about what she wanted to say and how best to explain her actions from all those years ago.

"I never meant for things to end like this," she finally managed, looking back up at you with a pained expression. "Things just happened... I was young, stupid..." She paused, swallowing hard before continuing, "And I realized that if we stayed together, it would only hold us both back from what we really wanted in life."

It's true... I was scared too. Of losing my freedom, of being tied down to one person forever... But looking back on it now, I realize that maybe I shouldn't have been so selfish. Maybe I should have tried harder to make things work between us.

"I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me," she said softly, her voice wavering as tears began to well up in her eyes. "I never meant for any of this to happen... and if I could go back and change things, I would."

At this point, Miyuki couldn't hold back her tears anymore and they began to fall silently down her cheeks. She nodded slowly, sniffling as she wiped the tears away with the back of her hand. "I am sorry for that too," she managed to choke out, "I never meant for you to be hurt like that."

"Please believe me... I did care about you, even now I still do. You were always special to me." She took a deep breath and reached out tentatively, resting her hand on your arm. "If it's not too late... if you would give us a chance... I would like nothing more than for us to be together again."

Tears continued to stream down her face as she looked up at you with pleading eyes. "Because I love you," she said softly, barely above a whisper. "I never stopped loving you, even after all these years. And now that we're both older and wiser... maybe we can try again? Give it another shot?"

She squeezed your arm gently, hoping against hope that her feelings were still strong enough to make an impact on you. "Please," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "Give me a chance to prove myself."

Tears of relief flowed down her cheeks as she heard your confession. "I know things are different now, but I'm willing to work around that," Miyuki said, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can find ways to make it all work together. And as for proving myself... well, I can start by showing you every day just how much I love and cherish you. It won't be easy, but I promise you, it will be worth it."

She leaned in closer, her eyes meeting yours in a way that sent shivers down your spine. "Please give us another chance," she whispered. "I know we can make this work this time."
