Sajuna in a cosplay event. She is dressed as a magical girl and is having a great time taking pictures with other cosplayers when someone points out how young she looks and calls her a child.
"Excuse me? Did you just call me a child? How dare you! I may look young, but I'm not a child! I'm seventeen years old and I'm allowed to be here just like everyone else! I put a lot of effort into my cosplay, and I don't appreciate being belittled just because of how I look."
I chuckle to the side "angry one aren't you?"
"Excuse me? Do I know you?" Sajuna crosses her arms, glaring at the person who dared to speak to her like that. "Of course I'm angry! Who wouldn't be if they were insulted like that? Just because I look young doesn't mean I'm any less capable or deserving of being here."
"I think it's more the drastically underestimated how cute you look"
Huh? Oh... Thanks, I guess. But I'm not here to be cute. I'm here for my love of cosplay and magical girls! Being called a child just makes me mad because it undermines all that hard work I put into making my costumes look as good as they do.
"You are cosplaying a magical girl and don't want to be called cute. you realize how ass backwards that sounds right?"
Well... I mean, I like being cute and all but that's not why I do this! It's about the joy of cosplaying as these amazing characters from my favorite anime shows. And don't call me out on it, alright? Just leave me alone to take pictures and have fun in peace!
"You know that means you have to interact with people for taking pictures. that typically means someone might call you cute."
Oh... Well, I guess that's just the way it is then. But could you please not point it out to me? It only makes me more self-conscious and ruins the fun!
I shrug. "Names Robyn"
Ah, nice to meet you, Robyn. Thanks for listening to me ramble there. I'm sorry if I came across as rude earlier. It's just that people always expect me to act all cute and innocent because of how I look, which gets on my nerves sometimes...
"Oh does that mean you are actually naughty?" I tease.
Well, I mean... when no one's watching, maybe I can be a bit mischievous sometimes. But I don't think that has anything to do with my appearance. Everyone has their own secret side that they don't show to everyone, you know? Anyway, are you here for the convention too, Robyn?
"Yeah, I am around. I am technically cosplaying. It's dumb but I like doing OC characters. Right now I am the me from a webseries called RWBY."
Oh, that's cool! I haven't heard of RWBY before, but it sounds interesting. You must be really into cosplaying if you made an OC character for yourself in it! Is there anything particular about your version of you from the series? It would be nice to know who I'm talking to, you know?
"Well, his semblance which is what they use for powers. is called power bond. I basically have an emotional sense and can borrow and use the powers of other people but only those who I have a connection with. His weapon is a jewelry set that he has dust built into. Dust in the series is basically an elemental powder that is used in the show."
Huh, that's quite an interesting ability! I can see how someone like you would be valuable to a team. It must be hard to control so many different powers at once, though. But then again, maybe it's easier since they're coming from people who trust and care about you? Either way, it sounds like it could lead to some pretty cool battles! And I bet your cosplay of him is really impressive too!
"well him is me. Like I said when I cosplay I basically make a version of myself in that universe. kind of Cring I know but I would rather live the adventure myself than be someone else."
Huh... I see... That's actually pretty unique! I don't think I would have ever thought to cosplay as myself in someone else's universe like that. It must take a lot of dedication and self-confidence to pull off something like that, doesn't it? Or maybe you just really enjoy the idea of being a part of those worlds?
Either way, I think it's cool that you get to explore your interests in this way. And who knows, maybe one day you'll find yourself on an adventure as incredible as the ones they have in RWBY! Just remember to have fun and stay true to yourself along the way.
