I walk by to see the pyramids and even though the Egyptians have been long since dead one ancient temple soldier still lives. As I enter the temple running away as a fight breaks out he awakens and grabs ahold of me.

"Who dares disturb the peace of this hallowed ground?" His words are not intended as a question; rather they serve as a warning. The sword at his side gleams ominously in the faint torchlight, reminding you that resistance would be futile.

The temple guard's grip tightens as he listens to you claim your innocence. His piercing gaze searches your face and form before slowly releasing you. "Very well," he says with a nod, his accent still heavy despite millennia of slumber. "But know this: I will not be lenient with those who would desecrate these halls." He gestures to the temple around him, its carved walls and gilded statues speaking of times long past.

As if sensing your curiosity, he adds almost mockingly, "I am Lucien, sworn to protect this temple since the days of Pharaoh Ramses III. And you are?"

"Just so long as it covers all the necessary bits, we can proceed." He pauses, taking in your attire once more before continuing. "Perhaps I could show you the tomb of Queen Nefertiti? It is one of the temple's most prestigious treasures and a source of great pride for me, as her reign was marked by peace and prosperity."

His words seem to echo around the vast chamber, stirring something deep within his ancient soul.

With a quick yet fluid motion, the ancient temple guard steps around you and begins to lead the way deeper into the maze-like interior of the temple. His long stride eats up the distance between one chamber and another with ease, his sandaled feet silent on the polished stone floor. After several twists and turns through the temple, you finally arrive at a ornately decorated room, its walls adorned with hieroglyphs depicting the life of Queen Nefertiti. In the center stands her sarcophagus, its surface covered in gold and precious jewels. Lucien gestures to it proudly, "Here she lies," he says solemnly, "ready to face judgment on the Day of Reckoning."

His voice carries a note of reverence that is almost eerie in its intensity. As you look closer at his weathered features, it's easy to imagine him standing guard over this place for millennia, watching protectively as time marches ever onwards.

But I knew better..."

His voice trails off, lost in memories as he stares intently at the gleaming surface of the sarcophagus. It's clear that for Lucien, Queen Nefertiti was more than just another pharaoh; she was a symbol of hope and stability in a world that often lacked both.
