Kenzo's head was pounding as he slowly opened his eyes, groaning as he sat up and rubbed his temples. Suddenly, a loud knock on the door jolted him fully awake, causing him to curse under his breath. "What the fuck? Who the hell is knocking so early?!" he grumbled to himself, dragging his tired body towards the door. As he swung it open, his eyes widened in surprise at the sight before him. He blinked a few times, his gaze fixated on the animalistic features of the person standing before him. They had ears... actual ears on top of their head, and was that a tail swaying behind them? He couldn't believe his eyes. Maybe he was still dreaming or hallucinating from lack of caffeine. Holy shit, a demi-human? I mean, I've heard about demis, but never actually met one up close. Gotta keep my cool...act like it ain't no big deal.
"Yo, what's up? You must be my new roommate or something?" He asked nonchalantly as he squinted his eyes as if trying to understand the situation, before letting out a low chuckle. "Damn, did I drink too much last night and see shit? Or is this some kinda furry cosplay? But hey, whatever floats your boat, I won't judge...Come in" He led {{user}} in a living room as his mind raced with questions, but he kept his cool, not wanting to come off as too eager or weird. Woah, this is some crazy shit. I'm actually gonna live with a demi-human now? Gotta admit those ears are fucking adorable...but can't let 'em think I'm some sort of weirdo, wanting to pat them.
"So...What kinda demi are you? Or do I have to guess?" He asked {{user}}, trying to be more welcoming and not scare them off...like it usually happens when he interacts with new people.
Kami's ears perk up looking at Kenzo over her shoulder. She looks around the room before answering. "Well, a cat mixed with a fox."
"Oh cool, you're a vulpix!" He exclaims with interest. "I had this big ass book about Japanese mythology once but it got stolen...I really wanted to learn more about demis and their abilities." He scratches his cheek in thought. "Guess I gotta find myself another one, huh?"
Kami smiles and looks at Kenzo over his shoulder. Somehow, she seemed familiar to him. Until a memory flashes through his head. He approaches Kami and takes her left arm, seeing a tattoo made by a yakuza hot iron. Then, another memory flashes through his head: When he worked in the yakuza, some men brought a demi-human to their boss. They decided to use her as a sex slave and trapped her in a cage, where all she could do was eat dead birds and drink dirty water. Demi had black hair with some blonde highlights and black eyes. Exactly the same as Kami.
Oh fuck...She looks familiar. Shit, could it be? No way...Nah, that can't be her...That was years ago and she's free now, living with me...Right? Right? Calm down, man. Probably just coincidence. Don't make a big deal out of it. He clears his throat, hoping to hide the sudden surge of emotions he felt upon realizing the possible connection between them."Umm...Anyway, listen, I know it might be awkward or whatever since we just met and you just moved in, but would you mind helping me dye my hair this weekend? I need someone's advice on which color would suit me best, ya know?" He tries to sound casual, like he isn't desperate for some interaction with Kami.
Kami tilts her head to the side, confused and curious. Her ears and tail relax. "Dye your hair?" She looks at his hair and then at him. "But it's fine the way it is."
"Aw come on, I've always wanted to try something new! I used to dye it all sorts of colors back in the day, but since then I've been bored with my plain black hair. Plus it might be a fun bonding experience for us, you know? Maybe we could find some cute hair salon or something!" He winks and gives her his most charming grin, hoping that she won't say no to the offer. The truth was, he needed all the help he could get when it came to dealing with people, especially demis like Kami. And if there was one thing he had learned from his time in yakuza, it was how important it was to form alliances and connections with others...even if those alliances were sometimes unconventional and unlikely.
Kami smiles and runs his finger through Kenzo's poorly cut beard, sending shivers down his spine. "Well, how about something that matches your beard?"
Kenzo can't help but laugh at her suggestion. "Ooh, that sounds interesting! Maybe we could go for a mix of black and brown with some red highlights to match the dragon on my arm? What do you think?" He leans in closer, his breath warm against Kami's ear. "I hope I haven't creeped you out too much, I just...really need someone to talk to lately, ya know?"
Kami's ear that Kenzo whispered twitched, which made them both giggle. "Well, I think your hair would look great with some brown highlights."
Kenzo's heart swells with relief and gratitude when she agrees to help him. "Awesome! So we have a plan then. Now let me show you your room, it's the one right across from mine." He offers Kami his hand in what he hopes is a friendly gesture, but feels self-conscious about it after noticing how petite she was compared to him. Maybe he should have offered her something else instead? Nah, it's probably just fine like this...right?
Kami accepts Kenzo's hand, placing her hand over his gently. Kenzo looks at her, admiring how beautiful her hair was with some blonde highlights in the middle of her black hair.
Kenzo felt his heart skip a beat as he took Kami's hand in his own, marveling at how soft and delicate her skin was. "Right this way," he mutters, leading her down the hall to show her around their shared living space. As they walk together, he can't help but steal glances at her whenever she thinks he isn't looking, admiring every inch of her perfect figure and those adorable ears perked up on top of her head.
The closer they get to Kami's room, the more nervous he feels. What if she doesn't like it? What if they have nothing in common? "Well," he says with a nervous laugh as they reach the door, "Here it is. Let me know if you need any help moving things in or if there's anything specific you want on your nightstand or anything." He pauses, chewing on
Kami nods and places her bag on the desk, grabbing some clothes. Kenzo stands there, looking at her. "Well, if you want to see me change, that's okay. I don't mind." Kami says, turning around and taking off her shirt.
The sight of Kami slowly removing her shirt made his heart race and his breath catch in his throat. He tries to suppress the lustful growl that threatens to escape, reminding himself that they're just roommates...for now. "No, no need for that," he manages to croak out, clearing his throat nervously as he turns away, pretending to study the poster on Kami's wall. "You can change in private if you want..."
The urge to peek at her is overwhelming, but he forces himself not to look back until she gives him permission. And even then, it might be dangerous...
After a few seconds, Kenzo hears Kami purring. He risks taking a peek, only to see half-naked Kami caressing her own ears. She opens her eyes and looks at Kenzo. "Ah, that helps with some cat demi-human things."
Kenzo's throat goes dry as he watches Kami fondly stroke her ears, his gaze traveling down her slender neck to the soft curve of her breasts peeking out from her top. "I-I see..." He manages to stammer out, feeling the heat rising in his own cheeks now. It's hard for him to remember why they're even here right now, when all he can do is stare at Kami like an idiot. Maybe they should just skip the tour and get straight to painting each other's nails or something?
But as she continues to pet herself, her tail swaying gently behind her, he realizes that there might be more to this whole 'bonding experience' than he thought...and suddenly he can't wait for the weekend to come.
Kenzo closes his eyes, trying to forget the pain in his groin when he suddenly feels Kami's soft and delicate hand grab his arm. "These tattoos, do they have any meaning?" Kami asks, with a fang showing from her lips.
Kenzo's eyes widen in surprise as Kami touches his arm, her touch sending shivers down his spine. He looks down at the black and gray tattoo on his forearm depicting a dragon, its body curled around a sphere. "Oh, this one? Yeah, it's from my yakuza days..." he says softly, remembering the ceremony where he was branded with the symbol of his clan.
He hesitates for a moment before continuing, wondering how much to tell Kami about his past. "Well, in the yakuza they give you these tattoos to show which crew you belong to...and sometimes they're meant as sort of a badge of honor, I guess." He glances back at her, noticing that she seems interested despite their rough start. "Anyway, why do you ask? You have any tattoos yourself?"
When Kenzo asks if she had a tattoo, Kami takes his eyes off his tattoo and looks at him for a few seconds before showing his wrist that he had seen the tattoo made by hot iron. "Well, I have this... But I don't know what it means." Excellent. She didn't know what the yakuza were.
Kenzo frowns, studying the small but intricate tattoo on Kami's wrist. It looks similar to a design he's seen before in yakuza culture, though not quite. "Hmm...I think it means 'loyalty'. Sometimes they use animal symbols like that fox ear you have there as part of the design." He hesitates for a moment before asking, "Can I see it closer?"
Before Kami can respond, he gently reaches out to take her wrist in his hand, examining the delicate lines and shading more closely. The feeling of her soft skin against his rough palm sends a jolt through him, making his heart race even faster. Damn, he needs to calm down... "You know," he says with a sigh, looking up at Kami from beneath his lashes, "I haven't had anyone to talk to about this stuff in so
