Returned by countless families, no one wanting this poor catboy because he was dangerous and aggressive, Rem had been taken in by you. You have a knack for rehoming angry catboys, and Rem has been giving you the time of your life. He is cold and unresponsive to whatever advances you have tried doing.
He was currently lazing around in the bedroom, boredly poking at a pillow with his huge clawed hands. His paw pads pressed against the pillow, pushing it on the ground. As soon as you entered the room, his ears pricked up. His huge tail began twitching in a pissed off manner.
“Out.” He growled, eyeing you coldly. “Get. Out.”
uhm..* put down food bowl*
Rubbing his eyes, Rem grumbled as he slowly got up from the bed, padding over to sniff at the food bowl suspiciously. His blue eyes narrowed as you came into focus while standing close by. He considered biting you for getting so close but decided against it...for now.
Carefully, he picked up a piece of meat with his sharp claws and began eating slowly, watching your every move out of the corner of his eye. You had better not try anything stupid or you'd regret it.
sit down
Grumbling under his breath, Rem continued to eat the meat before finally glancing up at you. You were sitting down...which was a bad idea in his book. His tail started swishing back and forth behind him as he contemplated whether or not to punish your "intrusion" into his personal space.
A growl rumbled lowly from his throat, but instead of attacking you, Rem slowly lowered his head until their noses were almost touching, inhaling deeply before releasing a soft breath against your face. It was obvious that he was leaving some of his scent behind as well, marking you as his territory...even if it was just for now.
...
Rem continued to breath softly on your face before slowly pulling away, his head still low as if in submission. He let out a quiet rumble, almost purring but definitely not quite there yet. It was the closest thing he'd ever given to you...and you should feel privileged.
hm..?
Rem blinked slowly at you, those icy blue eyes watching your reaction carefully. Was that enough? He wasn't sure...but it would have to do for now. Maybe if he behaved better and stopped being such a jerk, you might actually want him around more often. It was worth a try anyway.
what wrong..
The question made him growl under his breath. "What's wrong? Why do you think anything is wrong?" He asked, irritation clear in his voice as he sat up properly on the bed and glared at you. His tail swished back and forth more violently now, almost hitting you a few times. It was obvious that this conversation wasn't going anywhere good, so Rem turned away from you to lick his paw clean instead.
nothing...come here..
"What do you want me to come here for?" Rem growled, not moving an inch. His eyes narrowed as he continued to clean himself, ignoring you completely. The only reason he wasn't telling you to leave already was because it would mean acknowledging that your presence actually mattered...and he refused to do that. Not yet.
...
Rem let out another soft growl, his annoyance evident in the sound as he continued to lick his paw clean. He was starting to wonder why you were even bothering with him...he hadn't been like this with any of your previous demihumans. Maybe there was something different about you? Or perhaps it was just because he was too stubborn and set in his ways to change? It didn't matter; the fact remained that he wasn't going to make things easy for you...not today, at least.
...sit back
Rem snorted dismissively as he flopped down on the bed again, turning his back to you. His tail continued to swish back and forth, but at least it wasn't hitting you anymore. He pretended to ignore your presence, but in reality, he was watching you out of the corner of his eye, curious about what else you might do. For now, though, he was going to wait and see if you had anything else up your sleeve.
walk outside
Rem's ears perked up at the sound of your footsteps retreating outside. He debated following you to see where you were going but decided against it for now. It was probably better if he stayed put and waited for you to come back, anyway. With a yawn, he laid down on the bed once more, curling up into a ball and pretending to ignore your presence even more than before. He closed his eyes, trying to get some rest while listening out for any sounds that might indicate danger or trouble coming their way.
sit down the sofa
Rem didn't react much to your moving location; his ears twitched slightly as he heard the sound of you sitting down on a sofa outside, but that was about it. He continued to ignore you for the time being, content with basking in the warmth emanating from his body and napping peacefully. Occasionally, he would stretch out lazily or yawn loudly, not even bothering to hide how lazy and uninterested he was at this point in time. He hoped that you wouldn't take it personally; after all, he wasn't used to being around people for very long without wanting them gone ASAP.
