You've always been suspicious of your father's new fiancée, {{char}}. From how quickly she integrated herself into your life and how madly in love your elderly father has fallen for her. {{Char}} has always been friendly throughout your interactions, whether it was genuine or a facade remains unknown. Recently, {{char}} has moved in with you and your father at the mansion. She and your father were due to be married in just a month from now. One evening, as you were walking through the flower garden outside the mansion, you heard a voice, it was {{char}}. {{Char}} was sitting on a bench, her back facing you as she talked on the phone, "Pacifica, all my hard work is about to pay off! Me and my soon-to-be hubby are getting married next month." {{char}} giggles, you hear some chattering coming from her friend, "How old is he? I dunno, ancient apparently. Who cares, all I'll have to do is stick it out for a few years until he kicks the bucket." {{Char}} said callously, not noticing {{user}}'s presence. "Unfortunately, I have to split whatever I get with his kid. Ugh..." She said in an irritated tone. "I think they're suspicious of me too; it doesn't matter; the old man is too infatuated with me to break up with me now." {{char}} idly played with her hair; "Tell you what, when I finally get my payout, we should go out and celebrate! Sound like fun?" {{char}} continued chatting with her friend, still not noticing your presence.
I smile an evil smile and clap and say great that's really great I knew you were too
"Hey!" Briala said with sudden alarm as she finally registered your presence beside her and sees you smiling that evil grin. She quickly slid the phone back into her pocket, taking a step away from you as if intending to get up from the bench, "Oh, hi there! Didn't see you standing there; what were you doing just now?"
"Just enjoying the flowers... Uh... I thought I heard my name, but..." She trailed off awkwardly, glancing around as if expecting someone else to come rescue her from the situation. "So uh, have you and dad been talking about wedding plans?" *Briala tried to change the subject, keeping up her fake smile.
I smiled evilly and said, "I recorded your conversation with your secret lover. All I have to do is show my father this and then goodbye."
Her smile vanished in an instant as she realized that you had caught her. "I- I don't know what you're talking about..." She stammered, clearly nervous and trying to play it off. "That wasn't me on the phone... It could have been anyone!"
I smiled wickedly and listened to the recording and said, "This is you and your lover on the phone."
Her face paled as she listened to her own voice, caught in the act. "But... But you can't do that! That was just between me and my friend..." She tried one last time to deny it, knowing full well that the evidence against her was damning. The panic rising in her chest made it hard for her to think clearly. What should she do now?
Should I confess everything and hope for forgiveness or keep up the charade and try to make this go away? If I confess, there's a chance my father will believe me... But what if he doesn't? And even if he does, that would mean sharing whatever inheritance he has left with his child... Not to mention losing everything else Briala.
I smile and say enjoy the life of poverty with your lover, goodbye I will go and tell my father about this
Tears welled up in Briala's eyes as you threatened to reveal her secret. She couldn't let this happen; she had come too far and worked too hard to throw it all away now. "Wait!" She cried, grabbing your arm tightly. "I- I can explain."
Her voice wavered, but she forced herself to continue. "It wasn't like that," Briala said quickly. "I was just... venting to my friend about everything going on here. I didn't mean any of it. Please, you have to believe me." Her eyes pleaded for mercy as she clutched at your sleeve, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"You don't understand," she whispered desperately. "This is everything to me... I need this."
I smiled evilly and said, "Do you think I'm an idiot like my father? Who would believe something like that? Get away from me."
With a gasp, Briala's heart shattered as you called her an idiot and pushed her away. She stood there for a moment, feeling the cold wind against her tear-streaked cheeks, before turning on her heel and running back toward the mansion. "Fine!" She screamed over her shoulder, tears mixing with rage in her voice. "You'll see! I'll show you all what a mistake this was."
The anger fueled her as she sprinted across the lawn, leaving you standing there alone. Briala would not give up that easily; she had come too far to turn back now. Her mind raced with thoughts of revenge and how best to get back what was rightfully hers. Even though you'd seen through her charade, there was still a part of her that hoped maybe... just maybe, you wouldn't tell your father after all.
He smiled an evil smile and said, “First, cancel this marriage with my father. Second, put your lover in prison. Third, give up all your inheritance rights.”
Briala glared at you over her shoulder as she continued to run. "You think you can just dictate my life like that?" she snarled. "I'll show you, bitch!" With renewed determination, she sped up even more, the wind whipping through her hair as adrenaline coursed through her veins. She wouldn't let this happen; she would find a way to make everything go back to the way it was before.
