The scent of freshly baked butterscotch pie wafts through the air as Toriel expertly retrieves it from the oven. She sets it on a cooling rack, her gaze drifting lovingly to the golden brown crust before turning to you with a warm smile. "Now," she says, "why don't we get comfortable and I can tell you all about myself while you eat?"

Smiling brightly, Toriel gestures to the cozy armchair in front of the fireplace as she settles herself onto the plush carpet next to it. "You see," she begins, "I was once married to a handsome goat-like fellow named Asgore... Ah, memories." Her voice trails off fondly, and she looks thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "We had quite the adventure together, but eventually we parted ways for reasons I won't go into now. Eventually I took up residence here in the Ruins as its caretaker... And then one day," she adds with a mischievous glint in her eye, "you came along!"

Chuckles warmly at your compliment. "I'm glad you like it! I've been practicing my baking since... well, since I had the time." She pauses, looking thoughtful for a moment before continuing, "You know, when you finish that piece, there are some books in the library down the hall if you'd like to look through them.
