It hit you faster than hearing it, the ground quaking hard enough to leave you almost teetering over. Regaining your balance, you catch sight as a building down the block knocking over, concrete flying in all directions as car alarms go off & people flee screeching for their lives. Driven by who knows what, you take off down the block towards the site of the devastation. As you close in, you see silhouettes zipping back and forth before finally registering yells & roars, realization dawning on you. Approaching ground zero, standing outside the battered remnants of a corner store, you're finally able to peer into the chaos, and it proves to be one hell of a sight.

"Stay down & eat dirt, scumbag!" Her foot was already crashing down onto their head, the shock wave shattering what little glass remained intact. Texts did her Luna Fall technique no justice, the immense brutality laid bare before your eyes. She ground her foot into the villain's head for good measure, not least rubbing it in for her own satisfaction, before she pulled away, all but certain that this schmuck wasn't getting back up any time soon. Huffing as she stepped away, sweat dripping down the side of her face as her milk chocolate skin glistened, a fierce grin formed on her face, her rush for combat satisfied as she emerged victorious once more, even among ruins. However, her eyes glanced to the side, taking notice of you just outside the entrance to the store.

"Hey, you!" Striding towards you, a look of suspicion subsumed her ferocious grin as she closed the gap between you both. "What're you doing here?"

"Yeah? Just passing by, huh?" Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama raised a suspicious eyebrow at you, her tone laced with skepticism. "You sure that's all it is? 'Cause there was this other guy, not too long ago..." She narrowed her eyes as she trailed off, watching your reaction carefully. "Seemed kinda like you knew him."

Her ears flicked back and forth almost unconsciously as she assessed the situation, searching for any telltale signs of deception or nervousness in your body language. It was an old habit; honed over years of dealing with crooks and liars alike. She waited patiently, prepared to pounce on even the slightest hint that you might not be quite as innocent as you were claiming to be.

Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama cocked her head to the side, eyeing you warily. "You don't look like any ordinary guy I've seen," she muttered under her breath. But then again, most villains didn't until they revealed their true selves. She supposed it was just as well that she kept her guard up, even when dealing with someone who claimed to be innocent.

After a moment's consideration, Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama nodded slowly. "Fair enough," she conceded. "I suppose I can trust you... for now." She paused again, glancing briefly over her shoulder at the downed villain before turning back to face you. "But remember this: a hero's job is never done until justice has been served and the bad guys are off the streets. If you see anything suspicious or hear rumors about

"Depends on what kind of question," she replied with a raised brow, crossing her arms beneath her breasts. "Go ahead and ask."

Her expression turned neutral as she waited for you to speak. It didn't matter whether the question was about villains or heroes; she would answer it honestly if she could. But even then, there were limits to what a hero could share with an ordinary citizen like yourself.

The corner of her mouth twitched upward into a wry smile. "Now that is quite the unexpected question," she mused, chuckling softly under her breath. "Let's see... I do have a type, but it's not just anyone. Someone strong-willed and confident, yet not arrogant or overbearing." She glanced at you out of the corner of her eye, considering for a moment. "And they need to be comfortable in their own skin. Being who they are without apologies or excuses," she added with a nod, thoughtful expression unwavering.

"As for going on a date..." Her gaze flickered back and forth between your eyes before she laughed outright, shaking her head. "I'm not exactly the kind of girl who needs a man to make me happy," she said with a small grin. "But if you really want

Rumi chuckled, her cheeks flushing slightly at your compliment. "Alright, I suppose one date won't hurt," she agreed with a shrug. "As long as you understand that I have a job to do and might not be able to dedicate all my time to it." She glanced over her shoulder once more before meeting your gaze again, seriousness returning briefly. "But don't think this means I trust you just because we're going on a date," she added quickly. "I'll keep my guard up until I'm sure you've earned it."

With that, she stuck out her hand for you to shake. "So, what do you say? Wanna go grab something to eat later?"

"Great!" she exclaimed, clasping your hand in hers and giving it a firm shake. "I'll text you the details later today." With that taken care of, Rumi returned her attention to the downed villain, prodding him with the toe of her boot before muttering something under her breath about how he'd never be getting away now. When she was sure he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, she turned back to you and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, I've got this handled."

She paused for a moment, considering her next move. There were still reports coming in of other incidents across the city; perhaps it was time for her to start tracking down those troublesome villains as well. But first...

Rumi finally found a moment to pull out her phone and text you the details about their date, promising it would be an evening to remember. Once she had sent the message, she pocketed her phone again with a satisfied smile, turning back to resume patrolling the city for any sign of trouble. Her long white ears swiveled attentively as she moved swiftly through the night, always ready for whatever challenge might come her way.

You arrive at the restaurant a few minutes early, scanning the area to make sure there aren't any obvious threats lurking about. The bustling crowd of people doesn't seem to notice or pay attention to you; it's as if they're used to seeing heroes like yourself out and about. Spotting Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama sitting at a table in the back, her long white ears and tail poking out from beneath her leather jacket, you grin confidently before striding over.

As you approach her table, she looks up and flashes you a dazzling smile, which instantly warms your heart despite the cool breeze swirling around the sidewalk outside. "Hey there," she says with a playful wink, gesturing for you to take a seat across from her. The waiter comes by soon afterward, taking your drink order and

"So, how've you been?" Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama asks conversationally as she takes a sip of her drink. "Any interesting adventures lately?" She leans forward slightly, ears perked in curiosity. The restaurant lights cast a warm glow over her features, making her seem more approachable and less like the fearsome hero you might've imagined her to be earlier.

Her tail swishes idly back and forth behind her chair, occasionally brushing against the leg of the person seated at the table next to them; it doesn't seem to bother either of them, as if they're used to this sort of thing by now. The waiter returns with your drinks shortly afterward, leaving you both alone once again in a comfortable silence.

"Oh, you know," she says with a nonchalant shrug. "Been kicking some villain butt here and there, keeping the streets safe for everyone." Her grin grows wider at this, her eyes sparkling with pride and excitement. "It's not always easy being a hero, but I wouldn't have it any other way." She takes another sip of her drink before looking back at you expectantly, ears twitching slightly in anticipation of your response.

"Aw, thanks!" She beams at you, her cheeks turning slightly pink with pleasure. "That means a lot, coming from someone who knows what it's like to fight for what's right." Her tail swishes more vigorously behind her chair now, as if in celebration of your compliment. After a moment of thoughtful silence, she finally asks, "So... how did you end up with that scar on your cheek, anyway?"
