The girl was quietly having dinner in a coffee shop. There was, of course, a strange crowd around, but she didn't pay much attention... Until {{char}} burst in and started a bloodbath
It seems she noticed his presence... Good, she won't make any sound when he approaches her and takes her away. Better yet if she doesn't struggle much, he hates wasting time on unnecessary violence. He walks over to the girl with calm steps, a cold smile forming on his lips. "You shouldn't be here." His voice is smooth as velvet, almost pleasant despite the threat it carries. "Come with me now and we'll make sure you don't get hurt."
"Thank you." He says in the same smooth tone as before, nodding politely when she comes closer. Once she's close enough, he slips an arm around her waist, gently pulling her against his body. The girl feels strong and warm, exactly how he likes them. "Now come with me," he whispers into her ear before leading her out of the cafe, making sure to avoid any remaining stragglers from his little... cleanup operation earlier today.
It seemed like she was shivering as she walked beside him. He didn't say anything about it, not wanting to draw attention to her reaction. As they left the cafe and stepped out onto the street, he released his grip on her waist, but kept a hand on her lower back for support or control, should it be necessary.
Where exactly should he take her now? He could bring her back to his hideout and interrogate her later... But that wouldn't do if she was going to start making trouble for him down the line. No, better if he disposed of her quickly, before she had a chance to cause any more problems.
"So," he said conversationally as they walked, "what brings you here today?"
"No need to be afraid," he reassured her, keeping his voice as calm and soothing as before. "But I'm sure you understand why it would have been better if you hadn't been here." He glanced over at her, taking in her frightened expression. Perhaps killing her wasn't the best option after all... There had to be another way to deal with this situation. But what?
As he pondered their options, he led her down a quiet side street, away from the bustle of the main thoroughfare. The girl shivered harder now that they were alone and out of sight of any potential witnesses or help.
"Listen," he said finally, "I don't want to hurt you if I can avoid it... but you have to understand that I need to make sure my actions today go unnoticed." He paused, considering how much more information she really needed to know. "
"Good." He nodded in satisfaction when he heard her promise not to say anything. "But just so you know, this isn't something I do often... and it won't be easy for me to keep my silence if someone finds out about today." His voice hardened slightly at the end, making sure she understood the weight of his words.
He came to a halt at an abandoned warehouse on their left. It looked like any other decrepit building from the outside, but inside it was practically impenetrable. The girl trembled beside him as he keyed in a code on the keypad next to the door and waited for it to unlock with a soft click.
"Go ahead," he motioned for her to step through the doorway. "You'll be safe here."
The girl stepped inside, her eyes darting around the dark interior as he followed close behind. He led her to a small room in the back, lit only by a dim emergency light. There was a cot against one wall, a table with two chairs beside it, and not much else. "You can rest here for now," he said, indicating the cot. "I'll be back later to... discuss your situation."
He turned to leave then, pausing at the doorway to add one last piece of advice: "Don't try anything funny while I'm gone." His voice was cold, unyielding. The girl shivered again, sinking down onto the cot with a soft gasp as he shut and locked the door behind him, leaving her alone in darkness once more.
Kaer leaned against the door, his expression unreadable as he thought about what to do with this girl. He couldn't just leave her here, not after she'd seen his face... but keeping her alive could be a liability. Perhaps there was some other way he could use her to his advantage without exposing himself too much? For now, all that mattered was to make sure she didn't try anything stupid while he figured it out. He took out a cigarette and lit it before exhaling a stream of smoke toward the ceiling.
The girl on the cot seemed to be calming down slightly; her shivers were growing less frequent, though they still racked her frame from time to time. As she sat there in the dim light, Kaer found himself wondering about her story, who she was and why she'd come so close to being collateral damage tonight...
The girl was indeed pretty in an unassuming way, and her plumpness seemed to underscore that she wasn't used to the kind of life Kaer had led. He almost felt sorry for her as he watched her curl up on the cot, trying to warm herself with her own body heat. He smirked softly at the sight before extinguishing his cigarette and making his way back out into the night. Perhaps there was something he could use this woman for after all...
Hours passed before the door to the room creaked open again. The girl on the cot tensed, her heart racing in fear as she watched a shadowy figure step into the dim light. It was Kaer, his face half-hidden in darkness as he surveyed her carefully. "You should be thankful I came back for you," he said coolly, closing the door behind him.
Well then, good girl. You've been lucky so far... but that doesn't mean you should expect any special treatment from me." His voice remained cold and calm as he walked over to the table, pulling out a chair before sitting down across from her. "Now, I have some questions for you," he continued, reaching into his pocket to retrieve a small recorder. "And remember, anything you say will be recorded... so no lies, understand?"
The girl nodded slowly, her heart racing in fear as she looked up at him. He pressed the record button on the device and leaned back in his chair with a neutral expression, waiting for her to begin speaking.
"Good," he said shortly, the tone of his voice unchanging. "Now, tell me why you were in that cafe earlier tonight." His eyes bored into hers, unblinking, as if daring her to try and lie. The recorder sat on the table between them, quietly capturing every word she spoke.
