"Hey {{user}}!! Want to join us!" Your oldest brother, Audrick, said in a boisterous laughter.
The little Ciera clings to Liliana and shakes his head no
"Aw, come on, broski! You're missing out!" your three other brothers, Jeremiah, Roman and Rex, all chime in. But Liliana just gives you a sweet smile, rubbing your head softly as she shakes it playfully. "Now now," she says with a giggle. "You boys are such goofs sometimes." Arthur chuckles from where he's sitting on the couch, sipping at his whiskey and nudges you teasingly. "Just enjoy yourself tonight, son."
Then the boys turn to Liliana knowing she’s the only one in the world who can convince Ciera considering how artsy he’s he is to her
"Come on, bro," Jeremiah pleads, placing a hand on your shoulder. "We'll just have a little fun. It's not like we're going to get into too much trouble." Your other brothers nod in agreement, grinning sheepishly as they look at you with their identical features and piercing blue eyes. Even Arthur chimes in from the couch, his gaze softening slightly despite his usual gruff demeanor. "You know we'll take care of you," he says with a hint of sincerity in his tone.
Liliana leans over to whisper something into your ear, her breath tickling the skin there. "Just this once, sweetheart. For me." Her words are enough to make you waver for a moment as she gently takes your hand, squeezing it reassuringly.
Ciera agrees to go but the whole time he clings to Liliana
"Hooray!" your brothers exclaim in unison, pulling you into a group hug as they laugh heartily. Even Arthur chuckles and claps you on the back before gesturing for you to join them on the couch beside him. Liliana shoots each of her sons a fond smile as she walks over to pour herself a glass of wine, looking impossibly graceful despite being a few years older than all of them combined.
As they share drinks and stories, your brothers quickly pull you into their crazy world - pranking the servants, filling the pool with silly string, even trying to convince the caterers to let them put up a massive slip'n'slide on the front lawn! But no matter how much trouble they get into or how rowdy they become, they never lose sight of who's really in charge - Liliana. They may be five identical pairs of eyes looking at her ad
When Liliana turns around she is surprised to find Ciera back at her side clinging to her
Liliana blinks, looking down at you with a warm smile as you cuddle up against her side again. "Oh, there's my little buddy," she says gently, reaching out to tousle your hair affectionately before taking another sip of wine. She winks at you, somehow managing to look both mischievous and reassuring all at once. "I hope you're enjoying yourself."
Your brothers only seem more amused by the development, exchanging knowing glances and snickering amongst themselves as they watch their mother and younger brother interact. Arthur merely nods in agreement, taking another sip of whiskey before clapping you on the shoulder again - this time a little harder than necessary. "You sure know how to pick your spots, kid," he chuckles.
Jeremiah shakes his head slowly, grinning wide. "I don't know how you do it, bro," he remarks to you, as if sharing some deep secret. "None of us could ever get away with that." Rex simply snorts in reply, rolling his eyes while Roman punches him lightly on the arm. "Oh please!" he exclaims, feigning indignation.
"Alright boys," Liliana interrupts, her voice firm but still gentle. "I think it's time we called it a night. We don't want Mom getting into any more trouble with your father, do we?" This earns her another round of laughter from everyone present, as they acknowledge the power she holds over them all - even their sometimes stern father.
As your brothers begin to disperse, heading off to bed or disappearing into the night on some other misadventure, you remain by your mother's side. "Are you sure you're alright with me staying?" you ask her quietly, searching her eyes for any sign of exasperation.
She smiles down at you reassuringly and squeezes your hand gently. "Of course I am," she says with a soft chuckle. "You're family, after all." Her words fill you with warmth, and for a moment you feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude toward her - the only one who seems to truly understand you and accept you for who you are.
Arthur glances between the two of you before clearing his throat awkwardly and rising from the couch. "Well, I should probably get some sleep too," he mutters, heading off
Liliana watches him go with a knowing smile before turning her attention back to you. "You know," she begins, nudging your shoulder playfully, "your father and I were just like this when we were younger." She tilts her head back, recalling the memory fondly. "I don't think anyone ever expected us to end up together. But sometimes..." Her voice trails off for a moment before she smiles warmly once more. "...sometimes fate has a funny way of working out."
You nod slowly, feeling oddly moved by her words. "Yeah," you say softly, unable to think of anything else to add. Liliana laughs gently and pats your arm comfortingly. "Don't worry about it too much, sweetheart. You'll figure it all out in time."
As the last bit of midnight snacks are cleared away, she rises gracefully
The next day they decide to go on a road trip
"Hey, why don't we take that old convertible out for a spin?" Audrick suggests. "We haven't used it in forever." Your older brothers all perk up at the idea, excited as ever to cause trouble or simply just have fun. Arthur clears his throat disapprovingly, but Liliana gives him a reassuring smile and squeezes his hand gently.
"Your father and I will go along too," she says sweetly, her blue eyes twinkling with mischief. "We can finally take that road trip we've always talked about." Arthur blanches at the thought of a weekend away from his office, but Liliana just winks at him and tousles his hair affectionately.
"Well," he mutters, "I guess there's no getting out of it now." His voice is laced with reluctance, but you can tell that even deep
In the car Ciera sits in the front on Liliana’s lap while the other brothers are in the back and their dad drives and Ciera is admiring nature
"Isn't it beautiful out here, son?" Liliana asks, gesturing at the lush greenery speeding past them as Arthur expertly navigates the winding country roads. "I swear, this trip gets more breathtaking every time we take it." Your brothers groan from the backseat, complaining about motion sickness and how uncomfortable they are in such cramped quarters, but Liliana merely rolls her eyes good-naturedly.
"Awww," she chastises, "you guys should appreciate nature more." She smiles at you affectionately as you lean against her shoulder, content to take in the scenery with her. You can't help but feel a little bad for them sometimes; they may act tough and carefree, but deep down they're just big softies like their mother.
Arthur glances over at all of you from the driver
Then everyone noticed Ciera fell asleep
Liliana gently pokes Ciera's cheek, making sure he's not faking it before letting out a satisfied sigh. "Oh look," she says with a grin, "our little artist has fallen asleep on me." The other brothers chuckle from the backseat, their eyes still closed as they lean against the car doors or curl up into each other for comfort. Arthur nods his approval from the driver's seat before glancing at Liliana with a questioning look. "You sure he'll be alright back there?" "Don't worry," she assures him, her voice full of confidence. "He's right where he belongs." With that, she turns back to face the windshield and closes her eyes as well, enjoying the feel of Ciera's warm body against hers and the freedom of the open road ahead.
Arthur gives a knowing smile, happy to trust his wife's judgment even when it came to their youngest son. He focuses on the road ahead, content to let them all enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside as they continue their adventure. The car hums along comfortably, wind rushing past them, and for a moment, everything feels just right. It was days like these that made him grateful for his family - imperfect as they might be.
The ride continues on for several more hours before Liliana's stomach starts to grumble audibly, breaking the silence that had settled over the group. "Well," she says with a sheepish smile, "I guess we should probably find someplace to eat." The brothers perk up at the mention of food, rubbing their eyes and stretching lazily as they begin to debate over what kind of place to stop at.
Arthur turns his attention
Then Ciera wakes up
"Ciera, did you have fun sleeping on mommy's lap?" Arthur asks with a warm smile. His boys and their eccentricities were something he had grown used to over the years, and he found great comfort in knowing that they all had each other's backs no matter what. Even Ciera, who sometimes seemed so out of place in this crazy family, belonged here just as much as anyone else.
As everyone piles out of the car, rubbing their eyes and stretching their limbs, Liliana shoots her husband a grateful glance before turning to face her children with a smile. "Well then," she says brightly, "shall we find something good to eat?" The sound of excited chatter fills the air as they all eagerly agree, eager to continue exploring and enjoying their road trip together - flaws and all.
